Waterfront is a small 50 seat Restaurant and Wine Bar. We have just begun our eleventh year of business and have established a strong following for the creations of Chef and Sommelier Mark Filatow. Chef Filatow exudes a passion for his art that is brought to new heights through marriages with the exclusive selections found on our wine list.
Our menu specializes in a mixture of Tapas-style items and Main Courses, with the focus on offering our guests as wide a variety of flavors as possible.

Service was great and food was just wonderful. Portions were very generous.
The meals were outstanding and the service was excellent although rushed. We sat outside on metal chairs around metal tables. Nothing fancy here or dressed. 1/2 the staff wore masks while the rest wore plastic shields. Why do people think those are effective? Social distancing was clearly a challenge. Still, I’d go back if I didn’t want wine with my meal. I’ve never been accused of being frugal but the markup on the wines was just ridiculously high with the median price for a bottle exceeding $100.
Excellent food and service. Best restaurant in the Okanagan.
We had a great dinner with friends on our 30th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent and our server was lovely.
The food we had was excellent. I believe anything you choose would be of a very high standard. Surroundings lacked atmosphere.
It was a nice quiet place. A short menu but everything was really good.
Wonderful service and exceptional food.
Everything was amazing about the restaurant. Except for the couple in the corner that had a big fight/argument. Almost thought they were gonna asked to leave. People deal with your drama at home not in a nice restaurant.
Our food was outstanding. The service staff and kitchen really rolled out the red carpet. Delicious flavors and a top notch dining experience.
The food was good and well made we enjoyed all the dishes we had and shared. We each ordered a Caesar which was terrible so do not recmd. We could not even finish them. The service was odd. We were in a dark corner with no light over our table, i thought We were going to have to be “those people” and use our phone flashlights . Ha. The server was not very attentive. A table of 6 men was seated and she pretty much disappeared from service to attend them over us.We listened to her tell them all the specials and go over the menu with them. We had to call her over and ask questions about the menu ourselves, were never told about any specials. Empty glasses and dirty dishes were left on our table and basically she hardly came to our table. Not what i expect for “fine” dining. Wouldn’t go again. Disappointing as we were excited to eat here !
Shar took amazing care of us, her knowledge of wine and beautiful personality made this a most enjoyable evening.
One of our favourite restaurants in the Okanagan. Food never disappoints and the wine list is exceptional. Have never had a bad experience here. This restaurant would be my number one recommendation to anyone visiting the Okanagan.
One of the best experience and food in Kelowna! Beautiful dishes well balanced and amazing wines! Not a single dish was not spot on! Unbelievable service by Shane! Highly recommend
Food was great, excellent taste and serving size
By far the best restaurant in Kelowna.
Fun patio, delicious eats and the service was great!
The food and service, friendliness and overall ambience make this restaurant one of my top choices in Kelowna.
Unfortunately, the halibut was under seasoned and the accompaniments were over seasoned. I would recommend the trout over the halibut. Also the scallops were slightly overcooked. The chardonnay by the glass was a beautiful wine that was thoroughly enjoyed.
Went to the waterfront wines yesterday and I was so delighted at the level of service. The charcuterie platter was amazing. We ordered the halibut with scallop prawn and gnocchi. I got the side of spicy miso. The food was amazing and fresh and tasty.
I also got a chicken liver patte to go because it came with the charcuterie board and it was so silky smooth and yummy. I recommend this place and I will be back when next I visit Kelowna. The service was impeccable and great recommendations.
Keep up the good work.
Great service, great food.
Very nice restaurant highly recommended
Great experience! It was our first time dining there and we will definitely be going back soon.
We had a wonderful dinner and the service was fun and vibrant!
The food and service were incredible. We would have liked the option for a wine pairing. Excellent, unique dishes left us very full and happy! Would recommend.
Lovely meal as usual. Careful with "covid" precautions . Patio is perfect.
Food was great, seating not so much. We had to sit by the toilet in the corner. Eventually after we asked 3 times to relocate us we got a table outside. Prices for the food don’t match the atmosphere in the restaurant in my opinion.
Food and service are second to none.
Excellent happy hour. Limited menu but everything we ordered was excellent. They had one fish dish, one beef dish and one chicken dish. Limited outdoor seating so don't go there for patio or lakeviews, but food quality and service were solid.
The food was really delicious.
Unfortunately, the "$$" doesn't stand. It's more of a "$$$" restaurant. No meals under 30$ and most of them are around 50$. And there is not a lot of choices... (2 beef choices, 2 fish choices and 1 vegan choice).
We had the worst table of the restaurant (we had the table at the back of the restaurant close to the bathroom) This set-up seems improvised (maybe due to Covid19) . We had to sit side by side (and not face to face). We asked to get the other table that was available, but with no success. We were told that it was reserved for other people that were coming 30 minutes later). And what about our reservation ?
We could have a greater value for our money by going somewhere else. We were disappointed a bit.
Was delicious!. Always great food and drinks. A must stop if you’re in Kelowna.
Great food and service, very bad music. Would suggest a better playlist, would change the experience completely.
Service was fantastic and food as always amazing. Chef Mark Filatow and his team continue to hit it out of the park
We come to waterfront wines often as it is one of my partners favourite restaurants and thought this would be our first choice to bring family who was visiting from Victoria.
Unfortunately the dish my partner order was quite disappointing to the point he struggled eating it. On his plate was “sweet Bread” which we thought was some kind of bread and not told at first from the server it was a gland from a cow. When asked after trying a mouthful it literally turned our stomach.
It would have been good to have been told or asked if we ever had this bread and what it actually was before ordering the dish.
Perhaps suggest to your servers ask if your guests if they know what it is.
Our server however was very pleasant and was very apologetic after we spoke to her.
Excellent Meal and service as always. Need to book our next reservation now!
We were on Vacation and booked Waterfront Wines Restaurant twice for the week because the food and service was so great
the restaurant is a great place for adults to enjoy great food, service and wine.
It would add to the ambiance if table cloths and candles were used both inside and on the patio, which was a lovely area to dine despite some traffic noise. The staff are very helpful and efficient but you must reserve ahead.
The service was lovely and friendly. The food was very good. The outdoor patio left a bit to be desired. Wire metal tables and uncomfortable chairs. No tablecloths it even glass on the wire table. No decor on the patio. The ambiance did not live up to the food and service.
The menu appears to be limited at first but the dishes themselves have so many different components, it was almost Tapas-like. My husband and I shared all three dishes: the Perch, the Halibut and a side of the mushrooms with Hollandaise sauce. We chose a Chardonnay and it paired beautifully. Honestly, every bite was absolutely delicious. My husband could not stop talking about how good the food was.
The service was equally great. I made the reservation for 9pm only because it was all that was left. I put in a note to let us know if 8 or 8:30pm came available. Around 7:30, I got a call to come any time.
They also accommodated our request to move to the bar when it came available.
Highly recommend Waterfront restaurant for an amazing culinary experience and top notch service.
The experience was amazing can’t wait to go back
This restaurant was recommended and we were happy to follow up. The food is excellent as is the service. The menu is diverse. It offers locally sourced organic dishes wherever possible (as well as plates that are sourced from excellent vendors that are provincial). I had the rib eye steak and my partner had the steel head trout. The trout was a little bit dry and the steak was excellent especially with the three sauces that accompanied it. We also had a side of roasted broccolini and honey carrots with pancetta both of which were excellent. The ambience is very casual and the patio tables could have been better serviced with table cloths. That is the only reason it didn't get an overall five star rating from me. Make a reservation because this a very popular spot because of its reputation for good food. The inside of the restaurant is minimalist and rustic. But you won't come here for the atmosphere, you will be here for the food. The wine list is extensive.
