The food is bad for $48 buffet, steak was cold, the plates are dirty, choice is poor and low quality food. When went to get desert it was already removed because the restaurant was closing and no one even notified us. Bottom line is don’t go there for stake or any other food. There are plenty of restaurants available for less money and much better food.
I was disappointed because when I made the reservation for Thanksgiving dinner they indicated that the regular menu would be available along with a Thanksgiving special. I was quite surprised to see a buffet set up when we arrived. I chose this restaurant specifically because I did not want a buffet experience. I even checked the website the day before and nothing was mentioned about buffet service. That said, the food was pretty good although pricey with a 20% gratuity automatically applied to the bill.
Great place for a regular meal or special event. Made reservations thru Open Table with a special request and everything turned out perfect. The food is beyond great. One of the best steaks I have had anywhere. The seafood appetizer was fresh and tasty. Definately worth a visit.
The Hostess was very nice, found a quiet table for us. As an appetizer we ordered the cheese tray for $13. It was so big that we decided to get a smaller dinner and go back again next week for the dinner we had planned to get. This restaurant is perfect for special occasions or any occasion. There is a lovely open deck by the water in nice weather. If you want air conditioning you can still see the water from many of the tables inside. We live close by and have eaten here many times and the food is aways good. Tonight my husband had the wild salmon and it was perfect. I decided to have the dinner salad with shrimp. It was very good. We highly recommend this restaurant.
My wife and I had dinner with friends at 6:30 on a Saturday evening. The service was very good and the food was excellent. We like to sit at the tables on the bar level, and the view from there is an additional plus. We have found this restaurant to be consistently good, and we do use it for birthday celebrations!
Actually found a restaurant that delivers on their crab cake. Food was delicious and service impeccable. We had a very good server with a good sense of humor. The only thing we found lacking was mini dessert. Great concept but not well executed. We would definitely go back.
My first date with an extremely nice Lady, and the hostess sat us next to a huge table full of drunk, obnoxious, and LOUD table. They were so load we could not even talk without yelling @ each other. I ordered a "wedge salad", and was brought the house salad. I did not complain because my date was already half done with her salad. I then ordered the 6 ounce filet, cooked medium well. It came out barely cooked, and bloody red. I could not eat it, so I sent it back to be cooked some more. It came back very raw again, and I said the hell with it. I ate the outside parts and left hungry. I had to ask for sugar for my tea, there was nothing on the table. The waitress did take the steak off the bill, but the entire meal was just ruined. Also the bread seemed cheap, and butter was too hard to even spread it w/o tearing the bread. The place looks nice and has a super view, and the staff were friendly. But I'm afraid it was my first, and last dinner there. I usually don't respond to these emails, but felt it needed to be dealt with. I was truly embarrassed due to my choice of restaurant. While the food was good, the service was poor. It was obvious they were understaffed, and the staff, even the manager, had little experience at a "fine dining" restaurant. The topper was the hostess telling our waiter to make sure that her friends "got VIP treatment and didn't get lost in the the shuffle" when they came in. We ate breakfast there twice, and it seemed like they had more waitstaff in the morning then dinner. If you are staying at the Marriot, take an Uber across the bridge for dinner. Watercolours is good for breakfast.
Nice ambiance for a hotel restaurant...right over the water. Great customer service, food was average. Appetizer (peel and eat shrimp) was great and you get lots of shrimp! Nice cocktail selection - around 10 on the menu on they all sound great. We had fish entrees (snapper and halibut) which were fresh...but recommend the blackened style to add more seasoning/flavor. Did not like the sides we selected - creamed spinach and Mac and cheese.
Food and service was outstanding as well as the mixed drinks. Crab cake was amazing. King crab legs were best we have had. The salads were ok. Filets were awesome. Desert and espresso was the topping to a fantastic meal. The only surprise was the location. You are sitting in the lobby of the hotel, there is no storefront seperating the restuarant from the lobby so you can hear and see all of the typical hotel lobby commotion while dining. The food is excelent even for the price but the ambience is not what i would expect for a $200 dinner for two, however i will say im not dissapointed.
Had a great father's day dinner. Love the new menu. Has a grillhouse menu with some less expensive options, all equally delicious. New sushi station-Everyone enjoyed it. Make your own choice available. Manager was great, very attentive. We have come here for years and will be back soon.
Brunch for Mother's day: Seated quickly, food on buffet was plentiful, did not notice any item running out. Great made to order omelets and standing rib roast, views of water from most tables. Only fail was chicken nuggets that appeared to be dry and not fresh-most of us had no interest in this kids item on the buffet.
What an amazing find. We chose this restaurant last minute for my 40th birthday dinner and it was exactly what I wanted. Scenic view, nice table, delicious food, wonderful staff. The manager was filling in as a hostess and you would never have known. She checked in on us throughout our dinner and bought us dessert for my birthday. She mad he experience phenomenal for us. Maria Buckle is her name. We will surely be back and ask to say hi to her. Thank you to Maria and her staff. Awesome evening.
The appetizers were good but the main courses were off totally. The steaks came out over cooked and the waitress was arguing with us that they werent. Waited a full hour till we put anything in our mouth after being seated. Service was terrible! Would not recommend going back.
Told 7:30 reservation not available because large party at 8pm and wanted to ensure others would have great service. We got there at 7:10 for 7:00 reservation, sat down at 7:20 - served raw oysters 40 minutes later, our salad at 8:30 and meal at 8:45. We were given many apologies but the bad service never changed. Very disappointed.
A few years ago I was recommended this restaurant. I booked, I went and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A memorable crab cake...the steak was cooked perfectly. So I decided to go back again, even though I'd seen some negative reviews. I ordered and was given a choice of house salad or Caesar salad with my main. I ordered the Caesar and was delivered the house, so I sent it back. My crab cake turned up in the middle of the salad so I sent it back as I did not want to have them both at the same time. When I'd finished the salad they delivered my crab cake which was quickly followed (not even half way through the crab cake) by my steak...so I sent the steak back as well. The steak was delivered with a garlic butter topping which I had asked the server (Eva) not to include as I just wanted to have a simple juicy steak. The evening was turning out to be a nightmare. So finally the steak arrived...over cooked and black all over and the side of mashed potatoes was more pepper than potatoes, and I mean peppered. My original server had disappeared sometime during service so I asked another young lady to taste the mash once she had cleared the table. She came back later and confirmed that they were "peppery". What an understatement. She then asked if I wanted dessert......do they care if you had a good time or what? If you only take half of this on board you will stay way clear of this restaurant. They live from people who stay at the hotel and have little interest in entertaining paying guests.
We were very disappointed in the food at Watercolour. Our filet minion 'signature steaks' were drowned in a garlic soy sauce and presented on a messy grease splashed plate. It was an over cooked, over spiced, syrupy mess. If you are looking for a meal, one can do much better at any other local restaurant in the area.
The food here was excellent, very quickly served. The only complaint we had was that it was freezing in the dining area. Ourselves and the next table both complained to waiter that we were very cold. Not too much was done to alleviate problem. So glad I had a sweater otherwise we would have left.
My daughter and I stopped by for dinner while on spring break. Food was very good. Side portions are huge and should be split. Beautiful water views. We were much too cold. Bring a sweater. Service was dicey. I feel like our particular guy struggled. PeobBly should pick a new profession. Sushi, Mac and cheese side, wedge salad with grouper added, seeet potato fries. Mushroom. Bill was $54 before tip Was entirely too much food for 2 people.
