    I love the Water Grill. The food is consistently great and they have the friendliest corkage policy in Los Angeles - free corkage. You can't beat that for "friendly". Service is always helpful and they work hard. The only problem is that they often are assigned too many tables, which slows the service down. But you can just sit back and enjoy the wine you brought!!

    Great food, drinks and ambience. Noisy because of being on a busy street but they also play medium loud music. Pricey but not crazy pricey. Worth it for the quality and ambience. I’ve taken two out of town parties here and they loved it! Bonus is the sunset and being able to walk across the street to see the gorgeous view of the Santa Monica pier, beach, and mountains.

    Our server, Adam, was superb. The entire indoor experience was also very, very good. However, Water Grill has a problem it shares with its sister chain, Kings i.e. the folks "greeting" the customer at the door seem unqualified for the hospitality business. Last night was worse than usual. Three persons charged with greeting and seating customers, were not rude or overtly unpleasant, but they projected quite clearly that they wanted to be doing anything other than the job they were hired for. Someone needs to train the staff to greet people with a smile and act interested in pleasing the customer.

    Our food was wonderful, as always! They accommodated my parents who are both in wheelchairs and were gracious in helping them celebrate some milestone events. It got quite a bit noisier as the lunch crowd filled the restaurant, but it was pleasantly less noisy for the majority of our visit.
