The sea bass and halibut were excellent. Restaurant is a little noisy, but it was pretty full for a weeknight. Would definitely go back and try other dishes.
I cant wait to go back!! Amazing food and amazing service!
Amazing food and tremendous service.
My wife and I had a great meal here. The smoked hamachi nachos were excellent and our entrees, swordfish and seared tuna, were outstanding. The bread pudding dessert was super rich but delicious. It’s certainly a pricey restaurant but well worth it for the quality.
Fantastic food, awesome service! Our waitress, Candace, was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.
Love sitting at the oyster bar!
Amazing place, service was wonderful! Definitely coming back.
Our waiter was amazing. We weren’t rushed at all. We enjoyed our evening. The only disappointment was they only had one bottle of Turley.
Great place. Loved the experience. Our waiter was genuinely pleasant.
Went there for San Diego restaurant week and absolutely loved it! Had incredible service and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend the clam chowder! We will definitely be back
Great seafood abd great service. Large selection of oysters. Excellent clam chowder.
Server was unfriendly and rushed, food was very good, beautiful presentation. A little salty for my liking
Swordfish was very good. Scallops tasty also. Great service too.
Found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint! The seafood was fresh and delicious and we all really loved our dining experience. Highly recommend.
Amazing atmosphere , location and staff. Our waiter was amazing! Enjoyed the dining experience. The food was wonderful and loved the fresh bread also.
Good food, nice watier
If you’re dairy free there isn’t a lot of options and be careful what they bring is actually dairy free. Their replacements for the dairy options are generally tasteless.
We enjoyed a awesome evening of great food combined with great service. We are already planning a return visit with friends. Jordon and Powers provided exceptional service and their recommendations where spot on.. Great job...
Tremendous food and service
We got appetizer because the menu way very overpriced, appetizers were good just the quality was not up to the prices
Best meal we had in San Diego during our recent trip. Food and service were exceptional, especially the Chilean Sea Bass & the Bread Pudding with Salt Carmel Ice Cream!
Haven't had anything less than delicious, fish and chips the best I've ever had!
Great ambience for celebration of any kind. We ordered grand size of seafood appetizers and lobsters, shrimps, mollusks, oysters, scallops were fresh. Clam chowder was a bit watery but tasty with burst of flavor. Lobster roll with fries were so scrumptious. It’s a perfect place to also unwind after long day at the office.
We called and made a reservation to meet some old friends. Asked for a booth and got a table next to another couple. The good news is the food and service was excellent. The halibut, filet and king crab legs all got a 5 star from the gang. I would highly recommend for another San Diego fish dinner!
We started with the crabcake. It was nicely done with a Ritz cracker breading. Good lump crab meat with no or very little filler. Tasty. We had the branzino whole fish grilled. Very good flavor with capers, thyme and butter. Fish could have come out hotter but overall good. Seemed more roasted than grilled. No grill marks or crispy skin. We had a side of brocolli and the butternut squash. Both veggies were supposed to be grilled. They both could have been grilled longer. Parts of the squash were hard or undercooked. Bread pudding for dessert came out cold. Second time warm. Food quality was good, but food seemed rushed. Would suggest the kitchen slow down and concentrate on consistent quality food.
The service was dreadful totally ignored by our waitress and when the overpriced soft shell crab arrived it was cold. Never again and will advise friends not to go.
Try the live shrimp grilled, they're exquisite. It's a rare treat compared to frozen shrimp.
Food was ok, not the high end seafood restaurant we were looking for. Decent, casual, place.
The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was well made and there was a very wide selection of East and West coast oysters. Fresh, tasty, and perfectly shucked. There were so many you'd have to visit at least twice if you only tried one of each.
As is typically of this stalwart of the Gaslamp, Water Grill came through with wonderfully prepared plates. We started out with a chilled shellfish platter that was so very fresh and sweet. For our entrees we had the whole fish black sea bass and a strip steak. So good! Finished the meal off with a couple tawny ports. It’s a wonderful room with a great vibe and staff that know how to please.
We had a great dinner meeting. Sagan was phenomenal! Super attentive and very patient. We never felt rushed and my group really enjoyed themselves, the restaurant and were able to have a productive meeting. Thank you Sagen!
Amazing seafood. Would recommend
Nice enough place, but I don’t expect a sports bar in the middle of what was billed as “fine dining” (with fine dining prices).
Best oysters I’ve ever had! Great food, service and atmosphere. Four thumbs up from us.
Some of the dishes had some strange combination of spices. Crab cakes were bad
What a disappointment! Greatly anticipated our visit. Good ambiance, great location and decor; however, it stopped there. My husband wanted a fish dish, but did not want it prepared in the Asian style. Waitress said that was not possible. Finally, just selected fish and chips. It was so salty as to be almost inedible! Even the tartar sauce was salted. We like salt, but this was over board. The mussels were so spicy hot as also to be unacceptable. We love spicy food, but again it was too much. The clam chowder also disappointed. Overall, terrible meal! Way over priced. Worst meal out of a week in San Diego.
Wonderful family dinner...6 adults and two babies. Salmon and Halibut we excellent. Mushroom Tortellini and Octapus were good. Crab cakes were awesome...as were the oysters.
We eat there often. Best seafood in SD. Superior quality
Ask for Bob. He is a great server and pretty darn entertaining!
