Another great experience.
We loved our meal and waiter Picasso! The bottle of chardonnay we ordered was fabulous!
Thank goodness our waiter did everything he could to make our night enjoyable and treated us with outstanding service! When we arrived at the restaurant, the manager began to help us and I explained that we had a reservation for two. He then asked me if we requested a high top or low table. I said low and he explained that he wouldn't have a low table for about 15 minutes. Well fifteen minutes turned into him telling us 30 minutes.... so they sat us at a high top while we waited and and my husband and I saw a table for two opening up . We were the ones who had to ask to be seated at this table. Would have though manager would have tried to accommodate asap?!
Our waiter as mentioned, was outstanding , brought our fav wine and multiple coureses to us perefctly and we gave him an A+++. This was our second time at W. Prime and we will go back because of Picasso!!
Great food, great service, great location and kid friendly.
Good steak. But more like a bar with good steak than a steakhouse.
Pretty casual atmosphere, which can be fine.
But service was pretty casual, too.
This was very nice. When I say noise level I don't mean loud just friendly
Steaks, salads, brussel sprouts were excellent, fries good. Very busy, tables quite close together and a bit noisy so go with the right attitude, it was good for my purpose. Very friendly staff, but kept forgetting things (silverware, wine), and this place is too expensive for that.
Loved the oysters and steaks. Definitely will come back and check out Happy Hour.
Good variety of
Great food, staff, service, ambiance. Will definitely go again.
I have eaten here many times and always have had great food and service. I went for valentines day and my only complaint was that they had a special menu. That's ok, but I chose to upgrade the steak from the posted item to a rib eye. The basic steak dinner came with asparagus and mashed potatoes, so I assumed the more expensive upgrade steak option would include that as well. I was wrong. It didn't. So when I asked the waiter about that he said that was the deal. No sides with upgrade, even though included in basic steak. Makes no sense, but he reluctantly brought me mashed potatoes and no asparagus. At that point, I was fed up, so I didn't feel like bothering them for asparagus.
The food was great, the service was great, but I found the noise level a little high due to a lot of people at the bar area.
Crowded and lively on a winter Sat night, but the waiter didn’t skip a beat and our steaks and wine were superb. Loved the roman candle on creme brulee to celebrate my birthday!
Great apps - esp love their soul roles and tuna poke
We enjoyed listening to live music while having a Saturday brunch. The food was great.
Above average for Connecticut steak house. Below average compared to New York and Chicago steak houses. Our waiter, Edwardo (spelling?) was very professional. Probably will not dine there again.
We usually go to the Georgetown location, but tried SoNo this time. Same great quality food and service. I was a bit disappointed that they no longer offer the Umami sauce for the steak, it was a unique flavor that we all loved. Hopefully they will bring it back.
Food was ok cauliflower appetizer was $12 and small
Red. wines by the glass offerings were limited and duplicative
My group and I (total of 10 people) wen to this place for my birthday. The food is very good, but the prices are pretty high. And, considering the prices, the service should have been WAY better. They appeared to have only one server helping a private room which contained two groups of 10. A better waiter might have been able to handle it, but this guy just wasn't very attentive. Otherwise the place is beautiful and the food is yummy.
A great restaurant when traveling on business, or having a small business meeting for lunch
WP is always good and the service is above the curve for the area! Consistent restaurant!
I don’t feel I can give an accurate review. We had a 6 pm reservation and they called to say the hood exhaust fan in the kitchen was broken. They said it would be fixed by 7. We were told that they had soup & cold appetizers. We arrived at about 6:40 and we ordered shrimp cocktail, oysters & French onion soup. They were all very good. The fan was not fixed by 7:30 so we left. It was very nice that they called and gave us the option of cancelling. I hope they are up and running!
The food and service were outstanding! Will definitely be coming back.
You will pay a bit more but you will get quality service and food. The atmosphere is inviting and warm. It’s moderately loud in the main area but that’s typical these days.
There was a long hair in the mac & cheese dish and the salmon was particularly fishy, maybe not as fresh as it could be. The steaks were superb. I would not order fish here.
Delicious food, fun picturesque atmosphere. Pricey, but nice experience.
For my money this is the best steak place in the Norwalk - Westport area. The room is heavily weighted to bar dining and we would prefer more separation. Perhaps go early on a week night. We were in on a Sunday and there was live music at the bar which we had not anticipated. We had done a group dinner in July and the food was great. This time it was just the two of us. I did three appetizers; of note was the steak tartare which was "prime" and as good as I've had anywhere.
Some of the food items were not very good- including the porterhouse steak. The steak was incredibly tough with major veins in half the steak. The apps were very good, the side were a mixed bag- with things like the truffle mashed potato that really lacked any authentic truffle flavor. It was a very nice setting and staff was very pleasant, but the food really had quality issues.
Came here once before and enjoyed our steaks, decided to try again and were not disappointed. Bacon appetizer with tomatoes and onions great, as were filets, cooked perfectly and with a nice char. Brussels sprouts tasty as a side, good ice cream sandwich for dessert. Polite and efficient service.
They struggle with a full house. Ate there on a prior occasion and it was less crowded and the food and service was great. This experience was not very good. Food was fair at best. The service team worked hard to make the evening better, but in my view, they are an experienced server short in terms of staffing, especially if you are sitting large tables of 8 or more on a Saturday night. Those tables take a server away from their smaller parties, and those parties suffer. Steak needs to be better for the prices they charge. Plus, a $50 steak thrown on a brown piece of wood with nothing else surrounding it looks poor.
Great steakhouse and extensive menu. Nice wine list. Porterhouse for 2 can feed 3-4 people. Easy parking and great atmosphere. Usually live music also.
Food was very good. The tables were very close together which made us part of someone else’s conversation . Besides that food was amazing the service was flawless and the ambiance perfect .
The atmosphere was wonderful great seating beautiful location, beautiful view, awesome service and amazing food. Service once again was great! It was worth it all! Try it out, you will love it. Romantic at night. Enjoy!
Excellent food and service
The special crab stuffed sole was dry, over cooked and tasteless. Very disappointed.
Washington Prime is a steak house- and as such, you might not expect a lot of thought to be put into their vegetarian options. At a lot of restaurants, waitstaff merely point you to the side dishes with a shrug. But Washing Prime has a number of great salads, and at least one terrific vegetarian option- their Cauliflower steak-- it was delish, and I'm not even vegetarian, I was just looking for something not quite so filling as a steak. And I'm still dreaming about their burrata in their beet & burrata salad. All in all, a great meal!
Really nice spot. Location, views, people and food. Three time visitor and every one better than the last. Great steaks!
Amazing food! Desserts were amazing! Live music was perfect!
Saturday evening dinner with friends....servers were somewhat distracted, food was average, our group walked a way with a totally mediocre, uninspired experience. The place is capable of better, but tonight was a dud.
Excellent food. Great cocktails and good wine. Couldn't ask for anything better really.
Always a great evening!
