This was my first visit to Washington Platform. I felt my meal was just OK. I ordered the blackened fish tacos and for my taste, they were too spicy. The fish didn't seem to have a lot of flavor. I was looking for a lighter menu item and saw that there was shrimp on the menu so asked if I could get them steamed or grilled. The waitress seemed confused by this and said they could not. I asked how they were prepared when added to a salad. She wasn't sure.....so I went with the tacos. My other table mates seemed to enjoy their meals, but for myself, I will not be in a hurry to come back.

The oysters were excellent and were served
with cocktail sauce, horseradish and lemon on chilled plates. Nice job!

Really enjoyed our food! Oysters were delicious. Fish sandwiches during Lent are buy one full price, get the second for $1. Get lots of food for your buck. Would definitely go back again.

oyster sign in window caught my eye, valentine dinner special got me in there with the missus. A little apprehensive due to its locationin the neighborhood, but what you people have done to this historical site on the inside is fantastic. warm and inviting, wait staff VERY hospitable to the guests, very willing to talk about the history of the place (back when it was fort washington, before cincinnati) .. will definitely be back for oyster festival (chance to try some beers) thanks for helping my wife and I celebrate valentines day in style .!!!

An historic saloon with reliably good seafood/Cajun fare, solid bar selections and fantastic live music. WP is not pretentious; the choice spot for locals, its bar stools offer a friendly respite from the rolling trends and mania of the surrounding area. It attracts the best musicians on stage and at the bar, a great place to catch local jazz.

Washington Platform has become our "go to" place. Much easier to deal with than most restaurants in OTR. Great service & music!

I had shrimp and grits that were delicious. My friend said her seafood pasta wasn’t great. The pasta was over cooked and there wasn’t enough seafood.
Fresh shucked oyster appetizer was terrific. House salads with vinegrette also we’re delicious.
A short walk to Music Hall and plenty of parking across the street.

A wide menu for many tastes. The pasta-jambalaya was delicious. Service was very quick and friendly. The venue is casual, historical (nice photos on the wall document it), quiet, and convenient to the theatre. My only suggestion is that the restaurant make up side salad from scratch rather than lettuce in a bag. That falls short of the taste and preparation standard of their homemade entrees.

This bar/restaurant is chock full of character in the bar with a very pleasant restaurant feel in the large room beyond the bar. Food is very reliable and selection is very good. This is a terrific spot to eat before the symphony, Memorial Hall events, Shakespeare and more in OTR. Being able to make a reservation is such a plus. It has also been a good spot to gather with friends from different parts of the city for a celebration. We are so lucky to have a Washington Platform!

2 of the 4 at our tables ordered the blackened snapper, lightly blackened and it arrived burned. We asked for some drawn butter to moisten the fish and they do not have it to offer? Unusual for a place that has fish offerings? Waitress apologized and we are not over the top complainers and made the best of it. We stayed for dessert and the waitress said it was free since we had a bad experience with our 2 entrees. That was a nice gesture. The coffee, 2 at the table ordered with dessert, was cold. Must have been a bad night at the restaurant! Lifetime Cincinnatian, crossed off our bucket list for restaurants, Washington Platroom. Oysters were good but no credit to the restaurant.

It's been a while since we were here last. Had dinner before concert at Music Hall. The menu features oysters and a decent selection of other entrees, soups, salads, and sandwiches. Our selections were excellent.

We had a few questions about the menu that were readily answered. We were treated well with patience while we debated our wine order. We had a few moderate special requests honored. Overall most of the main entrees were very well received. The sides were adequate but nothing overly special. However, the hush puppies were spectacular! I would definitely go back. Lastly, there is a cooked oyster appetizer with an extremely mild cocktail sauce applied in a large quantity, it was more of a marinara sauce.

This restaurant was wonderful! We came here for the first time on NYE— it was easy to get a reservation and they seated us right away. The food was delicious— the pot of mussels was simple, tasty, and melt in your mouth (neither me nor my date had ever had them before). I had the fillet and scallops, both of which were cooked to perfection. Our server was very amicable— she gave us very good food and wine recommendations and also gave us the right amount of time and space to enjoy our evening. This was a great first experience with Washington Platform!

I enjoy my time at Washington Platform. Friendly people, zero pretense. The value is pretty great. A side dish here and there can get away from the kitchen's attention, but that's to be expected on a busy night, which it was while we were there. Overall, one can expect a nicely prepared and plated meal. Seasonal options were appealing and turned out to be very tasty!

The kitchen was very slow. We were there for an hour before we got our dinner. We were asked if we wanted to sit in the front room as it would not be as noisy as the back room. We said OK but the table we sat at was in the corner near the window. Cold evening and I froze. Had to put my coat on. Food was OK, nothing spectacular.
