Great food. Great entertainment. Would highly recommend.
My wife and my son took me here for my birthday. We had dined here in the past but it was the first time in the “dining tent” Washington House built last Fall in their parking lot. Everything was great; food, service, and each table was more than adequately distanced.
Great experience all around. Look forward to going back.
Always a great time. The music was awesome!!!
The food was amazing so we're the drinks. The only issue background talk everyone I guess want to be heard.
Washington House has quickly become a favored choice after finding them offering outdoor dining in the winter. The tent had a heated floor and always felt comfortable.
Always great. I like the front patio. Would recommend.
Thanks for another great lunch at Washington House!
Had a wonderful meal with my family last night! Crab cakes were delicious! I always get a special and last nights Chilean Sea-bass did not disappoint! The staff is always so pleasant and our waitress was sweet and attentive!! Love The Washington House! The tent is so festive and it’s nice to have live music!!
Close to home and they've done a very nice job providing tent dining. Lots of room with good ventilation and heated floor.
Innovative cocktails. Delicious dinner. Unique and warm ambiance
Loved the outdoor tent atmosphere. With the height of the open air tent and socially distanced tables, the Washington House is the ideal place to meet friends for dinner. Food and beverage specials were fantastic also!
Washington House did not disappoint! We had the fried calamari which was huge and delicious with great tomato sauce and a yummy spicy aioli, too. Main courses were delicious and not too much food. Excellent value for a lovely evening. Cocktail I drank, the blackberry one, was amazing!
Food is amazing with a great atmosphere!
Fantastic food and fun drinks--be sure to ask if they have oysters available. we didn't see them on the menu, but turns out they had them and they were wonderful
Our meal was exceptionally fantastic!
Service was attentive and friendly!
Love the tent- hope it can stay!
Can’t wait to go back in 5 days-
Gathered w friends who have never been to the Washington House Restaurant ~ they loved the ambience, service, and most importantly the food. It was gratifying to know the Washington House Restaurant was well received by my friends - since I chose the location to meet. Thank You ~ for a great first impression :)
Another great meal. Had a wonderful server who made good suggestions on food and helped us pick just the right wine. Washington House our “go to” since moving to the area.
Amazing! Great music and amazing food and service.
Awesome ambience and service! Food was top notch!
Always friendly, clean, courteous. The food never disappoints.
Food was fresh and delicious. Service was great. Ambience was really nice in the tent with music. Great place for gathering and found it to be very safe. All employees wore masks, sanitizer stations visible, tables are at a nice distance away from each other.
Best Covid dining around. Bright, cheery, food is good. Nice big room. Easy social distancing.
Great feedback, Beverly! Thanks.
The food is always very good, drinks are amazing the atmosphere is fantastic and the service is perfect. I feel very comfortable here and we always enjoy ourselves.
So glad you enjoy our setup!
The outside dining area was outstanding. I think once Covid is at bay, this area should remain. It was cozy, comfortable and decorations were beautiful. Make the inside area your party rooms. Just a thought.
The leek and potato soup with corned beef shavings was amazing. I ordered a quart to go!
I had the corned beef sliders which were very good. This too is something to keep on the menu all year round. They are on Kings Hawaiian slider rolls and it just brings the sliders to a whole new level.
I will definitely be back!
Loved their "new" outdoor /covered seating arrangements! And great food as always.
Thanks so much!
Atmosphere was great. Tables and tents were spaced out food was delicious. Drink prices a little high.
We came for outdoor dining for a birthday dinner. It was a great experience and everyone had a great time.
Lovely to hear!
Another wonderful lunch at the Washington House. Service was fantastic, the food was delicious. One of the best carrot cake desserts, ever!
Lovely food in the large tent out the back. Salmon tartare was a great app and I enjoyed corned beef sliders off the specials as my entree.
two great lunches in a row at Washington House. Service was wonderful, food was delicious. A wonderful spot in Basking Ridge. I Highly recommend
This is swiftly becoming a favored spot fir my friends and I.
a wonderful place to eat during the pandemic We felt very safe and will keep coming back
Not sure I can really count this as a review since we didn’t stay to eat. Buyer Beware...there is only outdoor tent dining available in a non-heated tent. Well...unless you want to count the heated floors which on a Saturday night in 26 degree March weather really didn’t make much difference. It was FREEZING, the music was loud and you are seated at picnic tables. (They may be painted white, but they are still picnic tables! For the prices they charge...no thank you!). I understand this is a pandemic, but NJ has opened indoor dining. I still wouldn’t mind if this is a decision Washington House chose to make for their business, but call it out when I’m booking the reservation. Oh...it’s in there, but you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of their Open Table Dashboard to find it which nobody who’s eaten there before ever does. Most restaurants use the Open Table function to ask Standard Seating vs Outdoor Seating preference. Washington House did no such thing when I booked my reservation six weeks ago. Why I had so much trouble getting a reservation, I have no idea. There were tables available. We’ve dined at the Washington House before and had a truly delightful experience, this time not so much!
Wonderful venue loved the outside dining! Great food and a great time!
All I can say is: man that was COLD! Not sure why this is so popular in this weather - because in truth it was just about at capacity on a Thursday night. People were huddled in blankets and wearing their winter overcoats at dinner. (!)
The food is good (not great). The "filet mignon tips" dinner I ordered could not have been filet mignon. My wife's salmon looked very good, and she enjoyed it. The hamburger oredered by our guest looked like a good deal and delicious.
The martini I had pre-dinner was noticably small. The wine is outrageously priced and selections are not what you would expect from a top tier restaurant. One bottle I recognized on the list at $54 is a $15-$17 buy at a wine shop.
The other bottle I recognized, a Dom Perignon champagne, which I have bought for $170, was on the list at a price north of $350. Really? I expect wine at a restaurant to be a bit pricey but I think these prices are way over the top. Not a destination for a wine lover, period.
It seems they are very aware that they are the only restaurant in town come dinner time. Too bad, because I live in that town. NOT A FAN.
Unfortunately we didn’t stay to eat. Be prepared to eat OUTSIDE with only heated floors. This was a lunchtime reservation. Seriously this state has to get its act together. The chain restaurants seem to have figured things out. 😳🤦♀️🙄. Until it’s truly spring Im going to have to wait for their great burgers!
Menu is limited for GF food. What is available is good and GF. A bit expensive for what you get. Lovely dining area with plenty of space.
Excellent overall and the best spacious COVID friendly dining. Food is very good, fresh, tasty. Suggest requesting any dressings on the side. Only complaint of my guests and myself.
All good just a little slow service
Best outdoor dining I’ve been to! Heated floors, big open area, well distanced table. Excellent varied menu. Food is as excellent.
