Collectively, we’ve been in the steakhouse business for as long as you’ve been craving a truly unique dining experience – maybe even longer. At Ward's House of Prime Milwaukee, we learned what you wanted from a steakhouse and then we designed a restaurant where high-end entrees are served at a reasonable price in an atmosphere that’s upscale yet relaxed.



At our steakhouse, we want you to feel just as comfortable ordering full-plate entrees in the main dining room as you would ordering from the bar menu and watching sports in the lounge. While prime rib is our specialty (served every day), we also give special attention to seafood, chicken, veal and vegetarian entrees as well as our lighter fare of appetizers, sliders and stonefire flatbreads. And we offer a variety of martinis, beers, cocktails and wines by the glass – as well as an extensive list of 500 wines by the bottle, all at a fair price.

Phenomenal dinner experience. Group of 5 guys and they put us in a private room. Prime Rib was delicious. Prime rib chili was out of this world. Service was great. Highly recommend.

reservation was at 6:45 pm and we were seated within 2 min of that. The hostess was accommodating and quickly moved us to a different table where there were no drafty windows. The server came to take our orders within minutes of us being seated. The food took a little while to get to the table though. The steak and prime rib were very good but need additional seasoning. The server made sure he came to check on us periodically. The ambiance was very romantic, quiet, and a great spot for an intimate date. We had a nice time.

We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation, and they apologised for not having our table ready. We sat at the bar, and I was very impressed with the world class selection of whiskey they offered. We both had prime rib. I ordered the 16oz, which was probably closer to 20oz.I paired it with a glass of 12yr old Red Breast. It was hands down, the best steak I have ever tasted. I wish I could remember our servers name, he was friendly, engaging, and made us feel like we were the only 2 people in the restaurant. It was a wonderful experience.
It should be noted that you definitely get what you pay for. If price is the first thing you look for on the menu, this probably isn't the place for you. Plan on a minimum of $100, depending on how thirsty you are.

The food all around was amazing the wine list and drinks are exceptional. I was drinking the Apple Old Fashioneds omg so good. The price is quite high but the food is nothing to be scoffed at, at any rate in my opinion it’s pushing the upper limit of value but I will be going back, it’s a great once in a while place for someone on a budget like me. My check for 1 appetizer 2 meals 2 old fashioneds 2 sodas and 2 deserts was $150+

We were impressed with the service and environment offered by Wards. I ordered my prime rib medium and the meat was very good. The only problem was I've never liked the type of steak that has a amount of jelly-like fat that naturally comes with prime rib. Think I'll stick to filet mignon in future.

Eaten at Ward's four times before and was excellent each time. This time, the steak had no flavor and the medium rare prime rib was so tough, the steak knife would barely cut through it. The chocolate cake for dessert was awful also. Quality of food nowhere near what it was the last four times we have eaten there. For the cost of the meal, very disappointed and will not be returning. Service, however, was excellent.

Exceptional food. I had the 16oz prime rib with a twice baked potato. I also had shared the brussel sprouts and had the lobster bisque. The prime rib was fantastic as usual paired nicely with a horseradish cream sauce. My only criticism was the Bisque. While the flavor was good the lack of lobster meat was glaring (there were lobster bits but that’s about it). Other than that the food and the overall experience was great and I would recommend to beef lovers everywhere.

Nothing special about the New Years Eve menu, same items as regular menu. Salad and twice baked potato were very good but filet was very average. Should be better quality for these prices.
