Had a wonderful evening, the only problem was our waiter was very hard to understand with his mask on and he wouldn't speak up louder. He wasn't very attentive to our table and as a server myself, I thought he should've been a little more involved with us. Overall experience was good.

We really enjoyed the seafood sampler filet and lobster and veal Marsala. Derick was an excellent server and the wine list was on point!

The food wasn’t good. We ordered 2 NY strips the cut of meat was NY strips. Food wasn’t seasoned at all. Only thing that was ok was the potatoes. Sad because I really wanted to like this place.

Everything was great. Was a little cold right at the door but perfect otherwise.

Gone here the past 2-3 years. Food quality was not the same as years in the past. Not sure if covid had an impact on this.

The prime rib did not have much flavor and plating was abismal! It looked as it was tossed on without regards! Also the prime was extremely tough. The best part of the meal was the pork belly starter! The experience was very unwelcoming, we arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and the restaurant was not ready for service! The hostess informed us that it did not open for another 10 minutes but we could sit at the bar...however the bartender was not pleased to see we were there before and made smart remarks as if we were not even there! The floor manager gasped and made the mumbled “I guess I won’t get to eat my food then”, because we were 10 minutes early for our 4pm reservation! Overall I will not return considering how much we spent and the experience was Walmart worthy!

Out of PRIME RIB at 5:30, at WARDS HOUSE OF PRIME . We have been eating there since opening and absolutely love the place , the staff and the owner Brain and Julie my GOD they are the best . The drinks and wine selection , fantastic ! BUT HOW CAN YOU BE OUT OF FREEKING PRIME RIB AT 5:30 When that is in your name ?!

My husband and I were celebrating an Anniversary and my husband loves prime rib so we chose to try Wards. My Husband wanted to try the 40oz prime rib which he said was very delicious and he pushed himself to finish so he can get his name on the wall. I had the lobster bisque and the Squash ravioli, I'm not a huge meat eater. My meal was okay which I expected since they are a steakhouse! The Owner/Sister came to our table thank us for coming and explained the family business dynamic which was really special. We got a piece of cake for the anniversary which was very thoughtful. Overall, good service, good food and fine pricing.

It was our first dining experience at Wards and we really enjoyed it and will be back!

Visited for Winter downtown dining - everyone's meal was delicious from prime rib to filet to sea bass. Service was great as well. Have been there previously and would return/recommend again.

What an absolutely fantastic experience, again! This family run business is tops and not on the great food but friendliness. The food is wonderful, steaks are outrageously good and if you stick around for dessert, their banana cake is out of this world. Probably the friendliest welcome we’ve had in a long time, thank you. Our waiter Derrick was amazing, and we were happy to meet one of the Ward family members! Everything was perfect ... salads, filet mignon, prime rib, merlot, and cheesecake dessert. Magnificent!

There for DD week. Had the prime rib. It was good for the most part but I have had better which was disappointing because we came here for that. Was flavorful. Some pieces had thick patches of fat throughout, which was much more than expected. The outside ring wasn't as crispy as it should be either. Mashed potatoes and glazed carrots were good. As was the rasberry cheesecake, chocolate cake, creme brulee and reeses cheesecake.

Will definitely be back as we think it was just a fluke with the prime rib. We love coming here.

We always love visiting Ward’s and we are certainly pleased to see a family owned business surviving (and thriving!) in challenging times for restaurants everywhere. The staff and management treat us as though we just visited yesterday, even if we haven’t made it there in months. Always a fabulous special to indulge in. Brussel sprouts are a must. Sea bass a top alternative to the steak options. And don’t even think about leaving without a slice of the ever fabulous banana cake. What a treat.

We sat in the bar area at a high top table. Server was outstanding when he explained his favorite dishes and told us a story about the prime rib eating competition. He was attentive without ever being intrusive. Food was great and we didn’t feel rushed to leave to turn the table. Very fun night.

First date night out with my wife since February of 2020 and having a baby. It was absolutely wonderful being back -not only out and about- but at one of our favorite restaurants in Milwaukee. The service, staff, food, and atmosphere was spot on, and the Wards experience never disappoints! Thank you Ward family!
