Really slow service. Wicked slow, actually. Maybe the waiter was new, but what the hell? Drinks were empty - we want to have refills.
Had a nice dinner here with 2 friends. Food and service was good and we ate inside and they did a good job with social distancing. Prices ok by Boston standards. Would like to go back and try the brunch!
Excellent food! Beautiful night to eat outside.
Drinks were perfect. Made a reservation here because of the drink reviews and the bartender did not disappoint. Also would recommend the guacamole and soft pretzel for snacks. The tables were appropriately spaced for Covid as well. Will absolutely be returning!
Ward 8 was great. The lights and set up outside was very festive. The waiter was so nice and just the right amount of attentive. Though the menu is small, the cocktails and food were delicious. I highly recommend it.
The strawberry basil smash was an amazing drink! Loved the atmosphere and the Nutella waffles were very good!
The service was amazing, very friendly staff! And food was terrific.
We had a great time. I managed to score an open reservation last minute that night. The food, service, and drinks were all fantastic.
They had a great outdoor set up! Service was amazing and the food was delicious.
Service was slow and the “hot cheese” with the pretzel was cold, as if it hadn’t been reheated all the way through. Not lukewarm, but cold. Nobody ever came back to check so we got our check to leave. They didn’t leave a pen, and we sat for another 25 minutes trying to get someone’s attention so we could sign our check.
Great food and service. Appreciated the covid precautions.
So fun, great outdoors
I always enjoy Ward 8. A casual atmosphere with all the pleasures and pacing of a fine dining experience.
Waitstaff/host were attentive, friendly and prompt.
Incredibly noisy outdoor dining. Need more plants on the sidewalk/patio. It feels like you are sitting in the middle of traffic. Food is so-so.
We had a great dinner. Food was delicious, service was fantastic and the drinks were both delicious and incredibly well balanced. I can’t wait to head back and eat inside the beautiful space once it’s safe to do so. That being said, the outdoor patio is HUGE with a great vibe and a bunch of heater lamps. We’ll be back before the start of winter
Waiter was awesome!
We got there early and no one else was there. It still took 15 minutes to get our order. I’m not sure what was going on, but we weren’t the priority. It looked like inexperience staff. I hope they get it together, it would be a great place.
Great food and and good atmosphere. There seemed to be limited staff so our waiter was quick and very to the point. But very good ramen and amazing cocktails’
Brunch was great! Drinks were amazing. Staff was friendly and attentive
Great outdoor setup with distanced tables, heaters, and lights. Delicious food! Recommend the salmon!
Julian is amazing! Definitely go visit him and ask him for one of his cocktails!
100 percent satisfaction... Great hospitality and dining experience memorable.
We sat on their patio which runs along the road so ambiance is what it is. The food and service make up for any ambiance you think you want though. We were there for brunch. I had the Thai avocado salad and my husband had the steak and egg burrito. Both were stellar. I spied some patio heaters so hopefully patio season will be extended here 🙏🏼
It was a cool little spot with a multitude of options for cocktails that were unique and refreshing. It was right in the heart of Boston with a direct view of the bustling of the city. Our waitress was excellent and made great recommendations. We were there for brunch and had the best Nutella waffle and avocado toast ever. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
Delicious food! Good drinks!
Phenomenal ambiance with both unique selections and standard selections of food. This is going to be my spot for out of town friends - whenever traveling and dining out in groups is safer!
Food was good, service was terrible. Had a reservation and took until 40 minutes past our reservation time to get us seated. Getting service at the table took forever. The waiter was nice but forgot multiple things. They gave us the bill for a different table. Lots of dirty tables that weren’t bussed around us. The bathrooms were quite dirty and the soap dispenser was broken and lying on the floor.
We found this restaurant by reading reviews online and recently attended a Sunday Brunch. We had made a reservation since the weather looked beautiful and am so glad we did. We arrived early however were not able to be seated until the time of our reservation. No big deal. Although all staff we encountered were very pleasant, it was clear just from watching them they were wearing multiple hats or just very busy. (For example, the hostess was bussing tables.) We opted to sit inside as it was a little chilly out but they have a gorgeous bar that is the centerpiece of their space and is currently not being used due to covid. I felt that the interior ambiance was lacking due to this. In addition, I had hoped to try one of their Bloody Mary's but they had sold out by the time I ordered. (12:45ish). That was a bummer. On a positive note, we all very much enjoyed our food. I had the avocado toast which was pretty basic, but the eggs on top were poached perfectly and there was a nice side salad that accompanied it. Someone else in our party had the chicken and waffles and also the nutella waffles - both were fantastic. I would love to see this place in action during non-covid times as I thought it had the potential to have a cool vibe. The food being so good definitely enhanced our expereince.
The brunch food was spectacular. The service was lacking due to under staffing. Basically a host/manager, a single server, and a bartender in front of house for the entire restaurant including the outdoor patio. Had the staff not been spread so thin (long waits to get food order, remind waiter we ordered coffee, remind waiter we asked for sugar, give up on waiting for pepper) I think it would have easily been 5 stars. Again though, food was outstanding so hopefully it was just people called out that day and it’s not normally like that.
The restaurant was short staffed so it took awhile to get the food. We enjoyed our meals though.
The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating! They went above and beyond to help me and a few friends move to indoor dining so we could sit by our other friends, even though our reservation was for outside. Cheers and thanks for a great experience!
So yummy! Will def be back!
Outdoor seating. Great service. Really nice cocktails.
Brunch is great
We were not happy with our brunch. The eggs Benedict was cold. The salmon Benedict was cold and they forgot the hollandaise sauce. When I got it, the sauce and the food was cold. Not enough umbrellas to protect everyone from the sun on a hot day. All four of us agreed that brunch was not good.
Delicious food and great experience!
Service was nonexistent. 21$ for a salad (and more expensive than chicken sandwich) is ridiculous. Sucks for a vegetarian. The grilled halloumi tasted like butt. I tried to like this place on many occasions but I’m going to have to stop coming here.
Great playlist! Spicy cucumber margarita was delicious !
It was great - frozen aperol spritz, Bang!!!
A bit too overpriced for what they offer. I was not impressed at all.
