I have liked Ward 8 in the past, mainly for a particular salad that they don't currently have on the menu. The food was good. The martini I had was expensive and our server may have been having an off day, since she was just "blah". We go here before events at the Garden. Wouldn't bother going other than that.
Great food, fun atmosphere, nice place to grab a quick meal before a game. Be careful if you sit in the back, sometimes delivery personnel leave the door open and it can get a little chilly. Tacos are great on Taco Tuesday!
Great food, great service we will definitely go back. For apps we had the burrata which was delicious, Buffalo wings and pretzels. Two people had the burgers and said they were great. I had the chicken sandwich which I really enjoyed. The spicy sauce on the sandwich didn’t pack too much heat but had a nice flavor.
Delicious and creative food and above average mixed drinks and beer. Great place for a pre-game dinner.
A happening place, with a very animated crowd (also loud), but overall nothing special. Close to the Garden and efficient service, so good for Celtics and Bruins games
The chicken & waffles was UNREAL. Also, you can’t beat $5 mimosas on Saturdays & Sundays.
Great spot for a date night or meeting friends for dinner and drinks. The menu is slightly limited, but still a good selection.
Our afterwork dinner at Ward8 was fantastic. The host was incredibly flexible with our having to push reservations out to a meeting that ran late, and the servers were awesome at accommodating our team. There was some slow service due to what looked like being shorthanded, but the FOH team were really doing their best to meet everyone's needs.
Food was incredibly tasty, drinks were on-point, and it was overall a great impression of the city for the international guests of our group!
We loved the brunch menu and the waiter was great about changes to the original menu. Service was good but the place is a little loud, lol, to have a family "reunion";we were yelling a lot! We will certainly come back.
Great Place to visit with friends for a brunch. Fine selection of food and large portions. I would come back another time.
Hip place, good plates. Rachael provided great service!
We had a birthday party as pre-game to the Bruins. The energy was great while not being over crowded, and the service was quick and efficient. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good dinner spot before an event at TD.
The waiter was awesome. Restroom could have been cleaner— food was a bit over cooked…and they could use more food options in the menu.
Excellent food and little to no wait. Perfect ambiance before heading to Big Night Live for a show , which is walking distance. Had the ramen, crab cakes and pork belly. Crab cakes were amazing with real crab, not filler. Ramen was the perfect portion. Drinks were strong but tasty. Prices were fair. Highly recommend!
Amazing food and atmosphere! Perfect dinner spot will definitely be back!
Went before a concert. Never disappoints! Intimate, personable, great food and service. One of my faves in this neighborhood!
Great brunch spot, charming interior and great food. Bruins fans seemed to flock in before an afternoon game.
The chicken sandwich my husband ordered was very good, but my steak was so bland and charred. Our waitress was miserable. Didn’t small talk. Didn’t check on us. Took the check, turned around, opened it and then turned back to say thank you. Very dissatisfied.
We sat outside on the patio, which is in the empty lot next to the restaurant. Obviously, next time the street, it’s a bit noisy, but there were lots of heaters, string lights so the ambiance was nicer than most outside areas. The food was great - we had the dumplings & duck wings as apps. Dinner was spicy chicken sandwich - crispy & moist & fries which were too salty for me, but my husband & son loved them. Husband had the double burger which he loved. Son had the ramen which he enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit.
Service was great. Food was tasty. Lively spot.
Great service and food!
Good meal and drinks on patio pre-Celtics game.
Excellent spot for a last hurrah with my current colleagues. The food and drinks were all fantastic, the waiter was attentive and on point, and the ambiance was perfect. Thank you!
Food and drinks were great! Fast service.
Great food, drinks, & service! Food came out quick and was a perfect pre Bruins game spot! Will definitely be back!
Food was delicious. Great deal on the $5 mimosas. We ate outdoors by the exposed brick wall, which was trendy. It was a little loud, being on a busy corner. But the food was worth the inconvenience.
The food was fantastic. The Mac n cheese was the best I’ve gotten in Boston. Great spot for night out with friends.
great food and drinks. nice server. nice hostess.
The manager wasn’t very friendly and wouldn’t allow us to move when we asked. The restaurant was too loud. There were empty tables where we wanted to move.
Food was choice were better than average bar food, good healthy options, and pleasant staff
The burnt out look was at first very strange but then up on closer inspection it was just a wonderful design. The food was great. Went for brunch, sat outside, and everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. I had the corn beef.
Management seems to have taken too many reservations and the kitchen staff was overwhelmed, delaying food to about 30 min. Service was good but need to get on top of lead times.
Very loud and seating was very close.
Ate outside- wait staff was excellent
We appreciated being able to make a reservation at this restaurant near TD Garden.
Average brunch food, crappy service. Had the crab cake benedict and it was good but nothing special. Nice atmosphere.
excellent service and great vibes. a bit expensive and loud but I really enjoyed myself.
We always enjoy W8. opted to sit inside near open windows instead of patio. For apps we had burrata toast w shisto peppers, fresh quac and ducks wings - burrata was fresh and creamy, quac and chips made to order and duck wings had great spicy marinate. everyone enjoyed entrees which included fresh ahi tuna with pear salad and healthy option of W8 bowl w spinach, farro quinoa fresh pears and apples w tasty lite dressing. 4 or 5 nice salad combos to chose from with grains, greens and fruit w add-ins like salmon and steak available. in house choc/vanilla cream for desert - triple sized. as always, a great selection of beers and craft cocktails. service, price point and atmosphere can't be beat.
Great food, service wasn’t great but frankly I understood that because I know help is so hard to find. What I was most concerned about at this restaurant was how close the tables were to each other during this pandemic. They seem to think it’s fine to have strangers sitting 2.5 feet away from each other. I didn’t feel good about that at all and they should smarten up.
We had an outside reservation so obviously one would expect the noise level to be higher. We were seated punctually and our waiter greeted us soon after we sat down. We were very impressed with how quickly our food arrived. Most in our group were satisfied with our food with the exception of the Fish & Chips which was slightly undercooked.
