Fantastic food, great service and delicious drinks and food
We will be back again and again
We arrived early and there were very few people there. The hostess was gracious, the waiter was fun. The cocktail was very nice, but the dinners were just so-so. Not bad, not excellent. Certainly tolerable and I took home the food I wasn't able to finish. $90 seemed a little steep for dinner for two with only one cocktail for the table, though.
Saturday night should have a bigger crowd. Great happy hour. Michael is s fun, sassy and skilled waiter/bartender. Decided to stay and have dinner in the bar because of the Drag Show. Performers were excellent-all of them, but our personal favorite was Borgia Bloom. (Hope I got the name right) We’ll be back! Watch out Michael!
We have been to the former Wangs in San Diego, so we were looking forward to the cuisine. We ordered one hors d'oeuve and one entree and split both. That worked very well.
We have yet to find a great Chinese-inspired restaurant in the desert. So, we have frequented Wangs several times. The food is delicious...noise level a little high -- but, it's that type of place. My only complaint is the cost -- (and we eat at fine restaurants). For this type of cuisine, the cost is quite high. Simply not used to that in the East Coast or Midwest...so simply be prepared. One drink and a nice menu item is going to run you around $40-$45...add a soup and appetizer, and well, that's a ton of money for this type of restaurant.
Excellent food. In my opinion it is the best Chinese food in the valley. Highly recommended.
It was good. Everything we ordered was good, above expectations. Service wasn’t great. Had been a long day and we took forever to order. Server clearly wasn’t having it 😂. Had a bit of an attitude but overall... he was fine.
Wangs has become a fixture of the Palm Springs restaurant scene. This Asian fusion restaurant is a reliable place for very good food, professional/friendly service and no long waits to be seated. We began with the dim sum platter which was fantastic. Followed by fish in various preparations and a fortune cookie. The evening was done. This night, there was a live band in the adjacent bar space which was intrusive into the otherwise moderately quite dining spaces.
Service started out good, but declined as the evening went on. When our entrees came we had to scavenge utensils ourselves for our waitress was no where to be found. We even had to flag down a bus boy to find her in order to get our check.
Very lively happy hour! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good not your typical Chinese food, ingredients seemed very fresh and flavorful. First time at the restaurant, would definitely go again.
We came here from out of state, based on a recommendation from a couple who have been coming here for years. Friday night happy hour was full energy, with a DJ. The restaurant side was much quieter and had a very interesting decor. We sat at a table for seven, complete with almost Moroccan-style pillow banquette seating. We shared a number of dishes, which were all excellent. An absolute must is to try anything from their drink menu—unique & fantastic. This is a MUST for any trip to Palm Springs.
Went to Wangs the 1st night we were in Palm Springs. The food and drinks were good and we had a great waiter. Will certainly return
Nick was awesome...the food and drinks tasty! Always a good time.
Food was great, service was ok and a bit noisy but overall great.
Very good Asian-inspired menu with plenty of kitchey decor!
Our waiter really sucked, he was late into work, he never came around asking if we needed anything. Our appetizers came with the meals. One couple didn’t even get their dim sum until after we were all done. We didn’t leave a tip.
Services from hostess, waitress, & bus people were first rate. We had a wonderful time. Most importantly the presentation was beautiful & taste of the all the different dishes we ordered were delicious. AND I enjoyed 2 Smokin Dragon martinis (husband had saki)! We had eaten here a few times on past visits and really glad we returned.
My waiter was awesome and am happy to be served by him every time I visit. The employees are very pleaseant and inviting
Very loud group seated right behind us.
Thank you for being so accommodating to my party! Definitely returning
Waiter was nice. However we ordered calamari that we 20.00 and let’s just say it was a very small portion. Also one of the servers would simply throw our food on the table and not pick up our empty plates. We spent 130.00 for two people. Not worth the price.
Nicholas our waiter was awesome!! Great experience as usual.
Valentines dinner with family. All of us had a good time. Nicholas, aka Nicky, did a great job of taking care of all 8 of us. As did the other wait staff.
A favorite of ours when in Palm Springs. Love the Walnut Shrimp and panang chicken. Excellent service.Jackie was an outstanding server though the team effort to keep patrons pleased is very noticeable. J.T. behind the Bar was attentive and added to our positive experience.
I don’t know of it changed, or we did but it seemed overpriced for just okay food. Probably won’t return.
The entrees just aren’t that good for $20 each. The ginger beef from the “fire” part of the menu was not remotely spicey. The food relatively bland except for what seemed like msg.
We get a more flavorful and enjoyable meal buying prepared from Trader Joe’s.
On the plus side ambience was great and service spot on.
Fun bar area to wait in, and then the best Chinese food ever! We recommend the walnut shrimp & the lo mein! And the drinks are fantastic.
Food was good, the service was outstanding, the entertainment happening in the bar area was not my cup of tea!
Wangs on Friday night used to be mobbed from 6-9pm. Unfortunately, the last three times we have been there the place has been nearly empty. We walked in at 8:15 and there were only three tables with people. What has happened to this once great place-It’s hard to say. They raised the prices considerably and that may have something to do with it. People that come to Happy hour don’t stay for dinner anymore. My guess is that new ownership will be required to make this place what it once was-a highlight of Palm Springs.
We had some great appetizers for Happy Hour. Live music was fun. A bit hard to have a conversation...we sat out on the patio. But I would definitely go back!
Was more impressed with happy hour menus than with dinner menu. Dined the Sunday prior and food was much better. Dinner portions were not much bigger, the pork PHO soup had a sour meat aftertaste. Loved the service, the ambiance, and the menu is adventurous. Will definitely be back!
It was very expensive for the amount of food they give you. There portion size is ridiculous!
Had been there for drinks, but was pleased to see that the food was delicious too! Great fun in Palm Springs!
The food was delicious, the service was very good and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Super loud as there was a party with live music next door in their bar. Couldn’t really talk with my guest. Some
of the food was just ok.
The service was terrible, starting with the front check in, they seemed very confused as to what they were to do. The food server was in a big hurry, even tough the dining room seemed quiet. Our reservation was at 6:00 so it was quiet. The food server didn't seem to know what wine was. He was too friendly and not professional at all. We have been to dumps before but this was terrible.
Excellent service. Good food. Dining room really, really noisy, making conversation difficult.
Great food! One of our favorites! Have been going for several years. Gets very noisy after 6:30.
Impossibly noisy because of a dance party in the lobby. We could not hear each other talk. The food was very tasty but a touch expensive.
We had an excellent dining experience. Delicious food and plenty of it.
Crowded restaurant , not enough staff.. waited 2.5 hours for dinner. Had to get our own drinks from bar. It was my nephews graduation party and family get together .. we had fun but Wangs has been better..
