Lovely atmosphere. Love the details like thin wine glasses and white linen table cloths. Those “small” details make or break a restaurant for me. Perfect lighting, reasonable prices, very good food. Please don’t change a thing, WLI!

Always a treat to enjoy a meal at the WLI, especially their morel mushroom special. Great food and service overlooking a fantastic northern Mich lake is a fantastic way to honor Mothers Day. You’ll spend a bit for this treat but it’s still a good value.

Amazing food. Loved the deeply smoked pork chops. Beautiful presentation as well. The accompanying sides were equally outstanding. Whitefish also delicious. Service was impeccable. Servers worked as a well orchestrated team. Professional yet attentive. This is a real Michigan jewel!!

There for Mothers Day brunch with limited menu. Both food and drinks were great - Lax Eggs Benedict, Monte Christo sandwich, creme brûlée crispy French toast, and a Bloody Mary. Only issue was a noisy table behind us that altered the ambience a bit through no fault of restaurant and some mixups with the billing that took multiple attempts to correct. Overall very satisfied and will definitely return!

Outstanding! The food is amazing, the service is amazing, the location is amazing - viewing Walloon Lake as you dine, the history of this restaurant makes it even more attractive. We didn't know this restaurant existed in all the years we have been coming to Northern Michigan. I was hesistent to share this 'best kept secret'. We will be regulars for sure!

Such a special dining experience. I treated a friend who has never been. She loved it!! My only thought, the choice of background music seemed a little to …… sad. Maybe there is another option? This summer we treated out of town guest and they loved the experience, but did comment on the music. This will not keep us away. Just a comment. Thank you!
