I had a great experience. The scallops dish included some creative ingredients, but it was very tasty. I just went on Saturday evening April 14, 2018. I hope this restaurant reopens soon.
Great food and service as always. Only regret that we can't have one of everything!
There were 5 of us, 2 of whom are food critics. Every dish was excellent, except the mash, which was cold, under-seasoned and bland. The atmosphere is chic, the space is roomy and quiet. The service was rather slow and forgetful, however, and annoying kids were running around screaming on the patio,
Yummy food and mimosas for my birthday brunch! Great service from a young chef/hostess/server!
Went for Easter brunch and LOVED their special holiday menu. They offered an omelet station, served by Tina who was wonderful!! Their $3 mimosas are hard to beat! I ordered the avocado toast (yum!), my husband ordered the omelet bar, but the sticky buns took the gold! Delicious! I definitely recommend this place for brunch, or lunch. Looking forward to the warmer months and enjoying their spacious patio!
The food and staff are fabulous!
We ordered 2 different steak dishes, both medium rare. On the first attempt, they both came out well done. On the second attempt, they were cooked better, but the filet did not appear to be fresh. The outside was gray rather than a good sear, and the inside was dark purple instead of bright pink. We were comped for the filet, but overall, it was very disappointing.
We had a first visit to Walker Grill this week. It won’t be our last. It truly is a gem. Everything was delicious: appetizer, entrees, and desserts. Our waiter was great, attentive but not intrusive. Though we don’t often drink alcohol the wine list seemed extensive and the bar side of the restaurant was really busy. We can’t wait to go back.
First time at Walker's Grill and it did not disappoint. We were looking for a place with an atmosphere of casual elegance and we were not disappointed. We were there for brunch and the menu options were varied and interesting without being overwhelming . Our server, Keenan, was polite, attentive, and accommodating. We were highly satisfied with our experience and look forward to many return visits to sample more of their delightful menu!
Had done lunch there when I worked in the building. Sunday dinner this time with friends - started off quiet with a great atmosphere. as people arrived noise level grew. The food is eclectic and there is something for everyone. There are innovative pairings and what we ordered was done to perfection. Good Cappuccino and dessert also
Food was not good but the service was great. Went for a birthday brunch and it was pretty empty so we were served right away.
First time to one of their wine dinners. Loved it - small and intimate; great value. Will be looking for more of these
The only complaint I have is the noise level was too high.
Great food at a good price. They pay special attention to food allergies and are very helpful in finding a solution
We went on Valentine's Day and I really feel like they weren't prepared for the turnout. Maybe they had workers call out and they were short staffed, either way we waited a really long time. The hostess, Analise, was amazing! I could tell she was stressed but she was very professional and friendly. My food was burnt and they remade it for me with no problem, but when I got it back it was med well instead of well. Overall I enjoyed the place and I will go back to see if they can get 1 or 2 more stars😉
I have wanted this restaurant to succeed so I have given it several tries - unfortunately it is headed in the opposite direction. This last visit will be my last visit. The staff is nice enough but seems overwhelmed, the food is mediocre at best, and the dining room is loud. Not worth the prices they charge. Sorry....
Food was good, but very rushed. We were there for the Valentine's dinner special menu but the server hustled us through like it was Chili's or Applebee's. Until it was time for the bill, that took 20min.
Nicole was the person serving me (she was also the bartender) and she was on top of her game. The food was good (except the bread. They were trying a new recipe and it was not really good), but Nicole was the star here. Great place, looks really cool with outside seating options.
Visited for the first time during restaurant week. Food selection and presentation was amazing-- fresh, creative and delicious. We are looking forward to coming back especially when the outdoor patio opens up.
Came here for brunch and loved everything it. Our new favorite go to location for Brunch!
Walker Grille has fallen on hard times. We brought another couple with us for Restaurant Week and would up embarrassed for suggesting it. Despite only 3 other couples in the restaurant on a Sunday night, the service was terrible. We sat a long time before finally asking the host who seated us if he was our waiter. Then we had to ask for bread, ask for drink refills, etc. With only 3 entrees on the Restaurant Week menu, they were out of one. Then they got the order wrong and one of the entrees was delayed 15 minutes.
We met friends at Walker's Grille for an early dinner. Since it was early, it was not crowded
and we had a lovely quiet dinner with an attentive wait staff and excellent food.
We had a delightful lunch to celebrate my friend's birthday. It was Restaurant Week so we had a delicious three-course meal. Very good service.
Overall a solid place to dine. It's not for everyday dining, but good for dates and business meals. They could benefit from a more prominant cocktail menu (if one even exists). I only saw the wine list. The food was good. The waiter was a bit awkward at first, but warmed up as the meal progressed. Will definitely go back.
The food was just okay. The steak on my beet salad was bland. Another person at our table got the Steak Frittes and said his was bland too. The person at our table that got the chicken said the skin was seasoned well but it did not get into the meat. The bread in the bread basket was was either microwaved or stale because it was hard. We could have had a better meal for less elsewhere.
Service was so so.
I have been several times - food is usually good - menu changes to take into account seasonally available items. It is allergy/food sensitivity friendly. Waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
We sat at the bar and had dinner in a casual format. The bartender Nicole couldnt have been nicer, offering great service and wonderful tips on what to order. It was a great evening.
We went for brunch and had a group of seven. There was only one service person so he had a difficult time trying to tend to all the tables but did his best and was very friendly. Food was good.
Having eaten here three times prior to include Valentine's Day, I already knew it would not disappointment; this was, however, my friend's first time and she very much enjoyed herself. From the wine to the food, everything was great along with fantastic service who provided just the right amount of attention as my friend and I caught up since last time. A great place to enjoy an evening with friends, family, and loved ones.
Walkers is a good restaurant working on becoming better. I like the wine pairing dinner nights.
Where Walkers can improve is adding more refresh fruits, the orange juice should be squeezed not from a box. The menu should revamped it’s been the same a long while now. The chief should have specialties dishes daily. This is a good restaurant but can be so much more.
Poor service, poor food-they were out of several items on their menu-and what we did receive (except for the desserts) was not good.
The food was okay, did not have a lot of flavor. the calamari breading fell off in the bowl. The cobb salad had grissel pieces of the chicken in it, and the dressing did not really have any flavor (honey mustard).
It seems to me the food has gone down hill since it initially opened. It's a great location and has good ambience for the working and social crowd, but the food needs to improve for the prices charged.
This spot is a hidden gem. Once inside, or even on the patio, you will forget you are in a business park. Weekend brunch is great, it's a casual environment, very laid back. My poached eggs came out really overcooked once and they eagerly offered to correct it. Dinner during the week is usually beautifully quiet - and that's the best part.
Wonderful venue for my birthday celebration!
Delicious food and nice setting. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Narrow but great wine list. Could do with a better selection of craft beers
We gather with another couple monthly and alternate who chooses the restaurant. It was our turn and Walkers Grill was the restaurant of choice. The food was fabulous...some of the best calamari ever...cooked to perfection! Having perfectly-sized entree portions was refreshing and naturally they are beautifully garnished. My husband and I had the scallops and they were melt in your mouth delicious! Our friends were equally impressed especially with the roasted Brussel sprouts with cranberries...an unexpected flavorful surprise. When the weather is friendlier, the outdoor seating is a must for happy hour and dining... making Walkers quite the neighborhood gem!
Perfect location for a family reunion!
We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened. Service and food was fine. Menu has been degraded. Talked to manger who said restaurant will be renovated and refurbished in Nov-Dec 2017. We will try again in 90 days.
One of the worst meals I have ever had. One would think "fish & chips" to be pretty ordinary (i.e., safe), but the fish wasn't done, and the batter was soggy. It wasn't any better after I sent it back, and no offer was made to correct or amend the bill. Nor was I asked why I didn't finish my meal. The accompanying fries were limp and tasteless. They were out of two items on the menu. I hear that this restaurant might be closing - I think they should do us all a favor and just DO IT!
My husband and I have been to Walker's Grille 2-3 times over the years (in their early years), but it's been at least 2 years since we've dined at the restaurant. I love the new booths and the ambiance is quite pleasant and not that crowded. Everyone who worked there was super nice. However, we were extremely disappointed with the food. The quality was not as good and fresh as we've had previously. The oysters were dry and unseasoned and the slaw they came in was too creamy. I did not like the olive oil mashed potatoes...it gave it an unfresh taste. Please use butter. And the steak (my husband's and son's) was underwhelming and under seasoned. The wines we drank were also on the cheap tasting side. My stuffed chicken was only okay, pretty dry. I think I like the frozen chicken cordon blue from the grocery store better. We also had dessert...The apple fritters. Again, okay...too sweet for my taste. We're wondering if there's a different chef, because Walker's Grille used to be a hidden gem in Springfield/Alexandria. Unfortunately, we will not be back.
