Wai'Olu Ocean Cuisine
Great view and delicious food.
Food was average. Ambience and service were great. Nice experience however we probably won't be going back again.
The food was amazing. The staff was very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions. I highly recommend this establishment. Mahalo Trump team for making memories for me and my family.
Wonderful service indeed! Many thanks
Unfortunately the kitchen was completely off. A very disappointing meal timing wise.
View is gorgeous
restaurant atmosphere, service and food.....outstanding! Valet parking was excellent!
The service at Wai'Olu is above and beyond what would be expected at a Waikiki Hotel. As the wind picked up, there were shawls that were offered to guests in case they wanted one. Food was quite good. Since this is a more casual dining venue, I had not expected the quality of the food nor service at this restaurant. When coupled with a beautiful view of the skylines at sunset, this was a restaurant that we felt would be a place we should return to.
Always a wonderful experience watching the sunset and dining at Waiolu!
Never disappointed when dining at Wai'olu in Waikiki. Excellent food and the best, fresh made Mai Tai's in Honolulu. Spectacular view while dining to watch the Friday night fireworks!
We enjoyed this restaurant so much. It is a great location and has excellent service. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time to get a Terrance table. If you’re there on a Friday night you can see the fireworks. The food and presentation was wonderful. we especially loved A whole page of nonalcoholic drinks which were delicious!
My wife and I shared the bouillabaisse for two. It was excellent, though, the fish in it was slightly overlooked. Their Mai Tai was excellent as advertised. Service was excellent and the premium seafood in the dish was outstanding
Poor service. No one came to greet us for what seemed like ages. Eating with littles deserves more not less attention. Had to ask for steak knives. MaiTais were delicious however.
Solo musician was very good. It was a breezy night and quite chilly. We should’ve been more prepared for the cold and worn jackets. Food was tasty and service was very good. We enjoyed our valentine’s dinner and will be back with friends to enjoy the experience
Great food and service.
Both appetizer and entree arrived cold. We were told the manger would come and speak to us. Her never did. The restaurant picked up the cost of the entrees but the evening was already spoiled by that point. Truth be told, I think there are better options elsewhere.
The Best thing about our experience was our server Britteny, who was prompt, courteous, and very attentive to our needs. When we mentioned the food was too salty, she offered to adjust our bill, and brought us two desserts on a complimentary basis when my wife and I could not decide which one to share. Also nice was that we were greeted and seated without having to wait.
Shortcomings I think would have to be the food which was much too salty. The Nishime that came with the dish I ordered appears to have been simmering in its shoyu broth too long, and my wife's King Crab seems to have been prepared without realizing the crab already contains a fair amount of salt coming from the sea. The sushi appetizer however was wonderful. Lastly, when booking through Open Table the indication was no times earlier than 8:15 pm were available. When we arrived at 7:50 pm however, it was not crowded and there seemed to be many tables available. I mention this because we normally do not like to eat late and would have appreciated an earlier booking time.
Full disappointment - the food did not live up to the expectations.
Always five star service. Great kids menu, food that kids actually eat. Butterfish bento was great. Fish and chips was not good. Batter was soggy and oily. Prices on the higher end but that’s expected dining at the Trump. Server was great and gave my son a chocolate dessert for his birthday.
Our server was very attentive and friendly; food was excellent; overall very satisfied!
We came in for Restaurant Week
Paul did an excellent job serving.
The menu worked well and all dishes were cooked well
Looking forward to coming back
people sitting near me spoke loudly, which was annoying. A bit westernized cuisine not but real Japanese. All the food I had tasted a bit sweet.
Husband and I went there for dinner. Had clam chowder, seafood dynamite, tuna roll and mussels. Food came quickly and were delicious. Drinks were much more reasonably priced than the hotels nearby. Waitstaff was friendly and courteous. Had none of the issues with either food or service that I had seen in other reviews of this restaurant. Beautiful view also of surrounding area. Highly recommend this place!
Amazing food. Awesome service and fantastic sunset and firework views. Plus the best mai tais in town!
The atmosphere was amazing, live band, very casual and the food was very flavorful.
Though food was good, kitchen timing was way off. Much more was expected of a Trump venue.
