Vue on 30A Ratings and Reviews
The Sunday Brunch was very good and very reasonability priced. There was plenty of food and we were all satisfied with what we chose. We each had a Bloody Mary prior to our meal coming and it was a meal by itself with all the vegetables on top! Great atmosphere and we were lucky enough to get a window seat . The restaurant sits on a little rise so the ocean view is really spectacular. I will go back.
The food was fantastic. Our server Jessica was outstanding. When we asked for suggestions she chose well for us. Unfortunately it was cloudy so we did not get the benefit of a beautiful sunset. Guess we'll have to go back on a clear day, and make sure we get Jessica as our server.
Wow, what great food.. fantastic Filet Mignon and the vegetable dish was delicious, with plenty leftover for the next day! The sunset over the gulf of Mexico was off the charts. They had a two for one dinner special between 5 and 6PM (off season), when we were there that was amazingly generous. Thanks for a great meal.
This restaurant was recommended for the Sunday through Thursday 5:00 to 6:00 buy one and get one entrée menu. The waitress was sooo friendly and made great recommendations. This restaurant is beautifully decorated with white tablecloths and cloth napkins. There is a panoramic view from every table. We saw the sun set on the horizon. If you want a window seat -- must get there at 5:00 p.m. We will go back!
We love the restaurant, the ambience, quality of the food, and the service. The other night my wife and I had the pleasure of bringing friends of ours, a retired AF General and his wife and we had a wonderful time. Except... the light illuminating the sign facing the direction we were traveling was out and we drove right past it. There was a bridge outage that rerouted us several miles and by the time we got to the restaurant we were afraid we lost our reservation window. Fortunately it was a quiet night and we had no further problems. The general was very gracious and we laughed about it later.
Great dinner & service.
Sadly, we were not able to have a table next to the window as requested :(
(even though we were there on the earlier side and there were tables open by the windows the entire time we were there).
Looking forward to returning when the weather is warmer so we can sit outside & hopefully enjoy the “Vue”
Service and food were both fantastic. Our server recognized that we had been seated next to a large family gathering that was having a wonderful time albeit a bit loud. She immediately reseated us in a more quiet part of the dining area that made the meal much more enjoyable. Her recommendations were excellent. All told, a great experience and well worth the price.
Brit was our server :). She’s the BEST! We had friends with us and she explained everything and recommended food, appetizers, and drinks!! She has an AWESOME personality and made our dinner both enjoyable and fun! We will return and ask for her every time!!!!!
Food and service excellent. Atmosphere lacking. It's really that simple.
My wife and I went to Vue Saturday evening to celebrate a fabulous week at the beach. The first thing we noticed as we drove up at 5:45pm was the utter lack of parking. Fortunately, there is a lot across the street but we were fortunate to find a parking place there as well. Only later did we discover that a large group occupied half the place. This proved to be an issue throughout the meal as the group was having a good old time in the adjoining room. That aside, the ambiance would have still lacked as the lighting was bright and harsh and there was no background music. Plus, since it was after sunset there was no view to distract, either. So, take this with a grain of salt as our experience was definitely colored by the noise of the big group, which you might not have to deal with.
Now on to the good stuff.
The food was superb. I'd had seafood all week and was in the mood for beef so I opted for the 8 ounce filet, medium rare, served over smashed potatoes with a side of green beans. The filet was absolutely perfect, cooked to an authentic medium rare and seasoned "just enough, but not too much". Outstanding. My wife ordered the pistachio crusted grouper. She likes her fish on the well-done side and the chef did not disappoint. The fish was served over a bed of risotto with seasonal vegetable and sweet pistachio cream sauce. Thumbs up from her side of the table. We finished with the largest slab of cheesecake we'd ever seen. So large, in fact, that easily 1/2 of it ended up being taken home in a box. SO good! There was also a key lime dessert and a triple chocolate dessert but the cheesecake sounded best and it did not disappoint.
Service was excellent. Our hostess was friendly, knowledgeable and kept an eye on us without being a helicopter.
I would recommend Vue on 30A, probably especially with the sun up as I'm sure the view is outstanding. You will love the food.
