The food was hit or miss. My avocado toast with poached eggs was dreadful. Avocado was brown and one egg was woefully overcooked and the other just ok. My daughter's fish and chips were good as well as my sister's Cobb salad. It is a pretty setting, but definitely not worth the $$.
Yes, great friendly service, patio dining with a nice view is what I look for in the desert. The decor is beautiful, and excellent food!
Food was ok but expensive for the quality. Our wait staff was great and very attentive. Food was well presented however too much butter ad sauce on all the item we ordered. I had Salmon which was drowned in oil/butter. My wife had chicken Marsala which had more of a thick gravy sauce (smothered). My Mom had halibut that was swimming in a bure blanc sauce..... The place is very nice - outside and inside. Not crowed at all (which may be a clue). Based on the prices of the meals and how the meals are prepared for the value, I would choose other restaurants in the area which excel in fine dining which is why I gave lower rating
Fine for what we wanted that night. A light, quick meal.
Location was was excellent. Fabulous views of the golf course and the mountains. Food was great. The service seemed to be a little disorganized. Too many staff attending to us without one person directly in charge. Result was some of the food orders showing up late. Aside from that a great evening.
Restaurant was empty when we arrived. Bad odor present. Server was too casually friendly. Had to ask for drink menus wine menus and table bread/butter. Long wait for drinks. Wrong appetizer delivered to one of us. One main course missing sauce, vegetable and potato toppings. Long wait for server to come by and rectify issue. Offered % off on that ordered item only. Food was okay. Would not return. Service lacking professionalism and wait was too long for delivery not to mention multiple errors in orders. Not worth the money paid.
Fabulous Sunday brunch. Would highly recommend it. We sat outside, looking at the golf course and it was lovely. We had great service and the food was delicious!
I can't say enough about the Sunday brunch here. Food and service are exceptional. Often at brunch a server points out the buffet tables and that's the last you see of them. Our server was great. He kept my champagne and my wife's mimosas topped off regularly. It was my wife's birthday, and they welcomed her with a small gift! Exceptional from start to finish.
The only thing we were disappointed in is that we booked early and requested an outside table. First we were sent to the parking lot side and declined. Asked for golf course side. They put us in the corner looking out at some practice area. Not what we wanted, but would not change us to the other end. It was okay, but we were expecting something nicer.
Pretty place but over priced. $12 for very small wedge salad plus $5 charge to cut in half. So basically $17 for three bites with watery dressing. Martini twice price and half size for comparable restaurants here. Same for wine. Prime rib was decent served with baby food puried potatoes. May try their brunch but will not return for dinner or drinks.
I recommend this restaurant for lunch. However we had dinner with friends (4 guests) on a Friday evening. During our dinner, the entire patio, where we wanted to sit, was taken by a wedding rehearsal dinner with 50 or so people. Their guests conducted themselves as though the entire restaurant was theirs to enjoy at the expense of those of us who were also there to have a nice evening.
I asked the host to close the door to the patio two times because of the excessive noise. The Host was noticeably put out, to do so. We knew the price of the meal before we made our reservation. However our dining experience was not fun and in line with other restaurants in that price range.
I will never return to The Vue with guests for dinner!
Asked for no pepper on our salads and then watched him go ahead and put pepper on one. We told him to stop and then he proceeds to grind pepper on the next one!
Absolutely would recommend the Vue cevwrything was wonderful. Will go back soon!!
Beautiful restaurant.excellent food and romantic ambiance
The Vue Bar has many TV screens enabling us to watch the Indian Wells tennis . The Bar is on the second floor and the large porch has nice view over the golf course. The short rib grilled cheese is delicious and we were amazed Pappy Van Winkle is on the bar menu!
The food was delicious but the service took much longer than I would have expected. Mostly because when we sat down there was only one other table of people.
Please update your OpenTable account as I booked the patio off the dining room and day of reservation was told it was totally booked for a private function so was seated else where.
We expected a full menu, but it was a special limited menu for Valentine’s Day. We were unable to get what we wanted. The food was still good, just not our choice. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come and take our drink order even there were many employees standing around. It was early so they weren’t busy yet. We always visit this restaurant when we are in town. Great bar, casual atmosphere and good food.
AFTER BEING SEATED BY THE GREETER WHO SAW OUR RESERVATION, SOME WOMAN CAME TO OUR TABLE AND SAID "YOU CANNOT BE AT THIS TABLE W/OUT A RESERVATION"! ...WE WERE EMBARASSED FOR OUR GUEST!
ALSO, WHAT IS UP WITH THE JEWELRY SALE GOING ON AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE RESTAURANT?? THIS WAS VERY TACKY AND RUINED THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE RESTAURANT, WHICH COULD OTHERWISE HAVE BEEN NICE.
However even though the menu items seemed appropriate I only rate "fair" on the 3 selections we had at our table. For such a beautiful restaurant and bar one expects more flavor in the food.
We are four women who try a different restaurant every Thursday ...and this is a tough group of women to please. We loved it. Ambiance is upscale but casual. Perfect for the desert. Service was impeccable; attentive but unobtrusive. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious! What seriously impressed this foodie (love a great presentation) was the Cobb salad...it’s brought out in an oversized, clear martini shaker! Dressing is added (if desired) shaken, and poured into a slanted bowl!
The only complaint was that the food was very salty.
We had lunch, a soup and an omelette. Both were too salty for us.
We went expressly for the prime rib special. Two orders were find. Two orders required a band saw to cut them. We told the manager, improperly attired for the dining room, that the cuts were tough and one portion of each loaded with gristle and fat. We are not going back.
Our waitress was as good as it gets !! We had a table of 8 in the Wine Cellar and everyone liked our waitress and I think her name was Jessica.
Great food served by friendly staff, what more could you ask for ?
Great view. Service and food were outstanding
Not that good. Expensive for lunch.
Food not good. The smoked salmon was hard and devoid of taste.
Sunday brunch is a must do. The grand buffet, along with the views, are amazing. Exceptional service on top of it all. You will also not be disappointed with lunch, or dinner, and other day of the week.
We held a small client dinner in the wine room and it was very nice. Our waiter, Martin, was excellent! The food was also very good.
This was our first time to try VUE Grille & Bar, and we were told they have a new chef. Their menu has changed from what is posted on their website. We had the most delicious halibut entree with asparagus risotto. It was outstanding. We sat in the dining room which was very nice, but you can also order from the same menu in the bar area which is a large area. They also have a bar menu. Can't wait to go back and try out the bar!
Not great value for money. I had the lobster mac and cheese appetizer which supposedly came with a 6 oz lobster tail. It did not but did have some nice claw meat that was very tasty. Cheese sauce was watery and the crumb topping almost non-existent. Tasty but not up to expectation at all. Main course I had the mushroom linquini with added chicken. It was excellent. Other 5 diners seemed more or less happy with their meals.
Great place for a Sunday birthday brunch for my mom. We had a large table outdoors with great views. Plenty of options for adults and the build your own ice cream sundaes were a hit with the grand kids! Staff was very attentive without being bothersome. I was looking for a place near La Quinta for brunch, after noon, and a place on Open Table and this option exceeded expectations. Well done!
We went for the Sunday brunch. I think it was fabulous and seating outside over the golf course even better. Great service and the food selection was outstanding. If you like a brunch buffet with great service the Vue is the place.
Food was mediocre at best. Buffalo wings didn’t taste anything like buffalo.
We had the same waiter as our visit before " Adrian" .
Im glad we did, he goes over and above his request to do..
The food was not disappointing ,as we remembered..
" Don't let him go"
Ciao 4 now ...
Great birthday lunch by the fireplace ...did not disappoint
We had NYE dinner at this spot. They offered a special menu for the evening. While everyone from the hostesses to the bartenders to the servers were very nice and hard working, things seemed like the staff were overwhelmed hosting the amount of people they booked. Initially we were seated outside on the patio, and while they offered blankets and heaters to offset how cold it was out there, this was completely separate from the live band and more festive atmosphere inside. Thankfully, at a polite request, we were moved to one of the last tables indoors. Food was just okay, and overall we felt a little disappointed for the price ($95/pp). With the number of positive reviews for the place, we figure that dining on a regulR evening is the way to go there.
New Year’s Eve. Overpriced, very slow service and solid (but unspectacular) food. Freezing cold, sitting on terrace.
Our party of four enjoyed their Christmas buffet. The buffet was wonderful with many items to choose from prime rib, pork roast (smoked in-house), delicious salads and yummy desserts.
