Had Nelson and we were in the wine room closing day!
All was perfect want to have opening day there too!
Came with a couple who were first time diners. E njoyed the bourbon, bbq, and bacon buffet. Great fun.Nice affair- delicious food. Ray, the manager, is a winner.
The rib eye or t bone was tough, the salmon was not cooked and sent back and came back over cooked, the halibut was not cooked thoroughly
We are Indian Wells resident and will not return. Very disappointed in the food.
The food was great, service excellent, view Beautiful
Service was quite slow but I was at a conference next to this restaurant & I don’t think they were expecting such a big crowd so I can’t really blame them. Food was good & server felt really bad about the slow service
Good food and great service - perhaps its because their location is near the hotels, its a better crowd than the typical Indian Wells restaurant.
The food is absolutely delicious and it has a beautiful view.
Waiter delivered all orders with wrong foods
Waited forever for everything from corrections to extra plates
Food wasn’t good at all!
Whenever we go to Palm Desert which is every year with some friends we come here to eat. Pretty good food, sometimes I wish they had a bit more of a selection but other than that it’s pretty good. They do need to figure out their waffle station cause it always seems to have issues with both waffle makers and the batter sticking. This last time we went they had a waffle attendant but it still did t help. All in all, food is good and will continue to come when we are in town for our annual trip.
It was very overpriced, the food was awful besides the dates. The drinks were awful, the waitress forgot our drinks. It was a very disappointing experience since we were only in palm springs for one night. Our waitress complained about work and the man that brought over our food was talking about how they were trying to instill etiquette there. Finally when we told the manager he made an awful joke
Service and good were great but I expected more for the ambiance being a notable golf course.
The best time ever. But it is still a buffet. Lots of choices, but food is still mostly cold. Staff is extremely will do whatever it takes to make you visit plessent. We will go back for dinner
We were seated in a nice private area but felt like our servers forgot about us. We had been there approximately 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us at our table (and had to ask 3 times for someone to come take our drink orders). Since this was Mother’s Day, the Sunday brunch price was increased $25 and yet the food was the same as any other Sunday and they were running out of items. Also had to wait 20 minutes just to get a soup cup. Very disappointed.
Wow, I was very, very pleased. Friendly server, amazing view, great menu, beautiful facility, and the food tasted great. The Garlic Crusted Halibut was wonderful. Great evening.
Always a great selection of food. The kids loved the waffle bar. Try the peppered candied bacon.
Beautiful ambiance. Food was excellent
A good place to go for Easter Sunday brunch, good selection of items except possibly the desserts. I lowered my rating mainly based on price which, at $65 a person, I thought excessive. The tastiest item was the sweetened bacon with flakes of jalapeño
Easter Buffet. A lot more expensive than normal Sunday Buffet that we go to often
We went to VUE for Easter Brunch morning.
They did not even have fresh melons slices, even
The cheapest hotels offer fresh melon for breakfast.
The quality of everything was cheap, shrimp very
Tiny and watery, small crab you had to crack with
Very little meat.
One woman cooking omelets for everyone with
Meats very little taste, waffles ice cold.
Service sadly lacking.
Champagne that gave me a headache, so it’s cheap,
Should not get headache on two glasses.
$140 and they would Not reduce My Wife price due
She cannot drink alcohol Doctors orders.
One of the managers told me new chef does not want
To change things until summer from what old chef was doing
Badly. Old Chef use Thousand Island Dressing in Everthing.
We went to the VUE 8-10 years ago for Easter Brunch and it was
Fantastic. We keep trying the VUE in hopes that they would get
Their act together but sadly they Fail ever time we try them.
VUE - Please get your act together or sell property to someone
Who will bring it back to its previous high standard
The food was hit or miss. My avocado toast with poached eggs was dreadful. Avocado was brown and one egg was woefully overcooked and the other just ok. My daughter's fish and chips were good as well as my sister's Cobb salad. It is a pretty setting, but definitely not worth the $$$.
Yes, great friendly service, patio dining with a nice view is what I look for in the desert. The decor is beautiful, and excellent food!
Food was ok but expensive for the quality. Our wait staff was great and very attentive. Food was well presented however too much butter ad sauce on all the item we ordered. I had Salmon which was drowned in oil/butter. My wife had chicken Marsala which had more of a thick gravy sauce (smothered). My Mom had halibut that was swimming in a bure blanc sauce..... The place is very nice - outside and inside. Not crowed at all (which may be a clue). Based on the prices of the meals and how the meals are prepared for the value, I would choose other restaurants in the area which excel in fine dining which is why I gave lower rating
Fine for what we wanted that night. A light, quick meal.
Location was was excellent. Fabulous views of the golf course and the mountains. Food was great. The service seemed to be a little disorganized. Too many staff attending to us without one person directly in charge. Result was some of the food orders showing up late. Aside from that a great evening.
Restaurant was empty when we arrived. Bad odor present. Server was too casually friendly. Had to ask for drink menus wine menus and table bread/butter. Long wait for drinks. Wrong appetizer delivered to one of us. One main course missing sauce, vegetable and potato toppings. Long wait for server to come by and rectify issue. Offered % off on that ordered item only. Food was okay. Would not return. Service lacking professionalism and wait was too long for delivery not to mention multiple errors in orders. Not worth the money paid.
Fabulous Sunday brunch. Would highly recommend it. We sat outside, looking at the golf course and it was lovely. We had great service and the food was delicious!
I can't say enough about the Sunday brunch here. Food and service are exceptional. Often at brunch a server points out the buffet tables and that's the last you see of them. Our server was great. He kept my champagne and my wife's mimosas topped off regularly. It was my wife's birthday, and they welcomed her with a small gift! Exceptional from start to finish.
The only thing we were disappointed in is that we booked early and requested an outside table. First we were sent to the parking lot side and declined. Asked for golf course side. They put us in the corner looking out at some practice area. Not what we wanted, but would not change us to the other end. It was okay, but we were expecting something nicer.
Pretty place but over priced. $12 for very small wedge salad plus $5 charge to cut in half. So basically $17 for three bites with watery dressing. Martini twice price and half size for comparable restaurants here. Same for wine. Prime rib was decent served with baby food puried potatoes. May try their brunch but will not return for dinner or drinks.
I recommend this restaurant for lunch. However we had dinner with friends (4 guests) on a Friday evening. During our dinner, the entire patio, where we wanted to sit, was taken by a wedding rehearsal dinner with 50 or so people. Their guests conducted themselves as though the entire restaurant was theirs to enjoy at the expense of those of us who were also there to have a nice evening.
I asked the host to close the door to the patio two times because of the excessive noise. The Host was noticeably put out, to do so. We knew the price of the meal before we made our reservation. However our dining experience was not fun and in line with other restaurants in that price range.
I will never return to The Vue with guests for dinner!
Asked for no pepper on our salads and then watched him go ahead and put pepper on one. We told him to stop and then he proceeds to grind pepper on the next one!
Absolutely would recommend the Vue cevwrything was wonderful. Will go back soon!!
Beautiful restaurant.excellent food and romantic ambiance
The Vue Bar has many TV screens enabling us to watch the Indian Wells tennis . The Bar is on the second floor and the large porch has nice view over the golf course. The short rib grilled cheese is delicious and we were amazed Pappy Van Winkle is on the bar menu!
The food was delicious but the service took much longer than I would have expected. Mostly because when we sat down there was only one other table of people.
Please update your OpenTable account as I booked the patio off the dining room and day of reservation was told it was totally booked for a private function so was seated else where.
We expected a full menu, but it was a special limited menu for Valentine’s Day. We were unable to get what we wanted. The food was still good, just not our choice. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come and take our drink order even there were many employees standing around. It was early so they weren’t busy yet. We always visit this restaurant when we are in town. Great bar, casual atmosphere and good food.
AFTER BEING SEATED BY THE GREETER WHO SAW OUR RESERVATION, SOME WOMAN CAME TO OUR TABLE AND SAID "YOU CANNOT BE AT THIS TABLE W/OUT A RESERVATION"! ...WE WERE EMBARASSED FOR OUR GUEST!
ALSO, WHAT IS UP WITH THE JEWELRY SALE GOING ON AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE RESTAURANT?? THIS WAS VERY TACKY AND RUINED THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE RESTAURANT, WHICH COULD OTHERWISE HAVE BEEN NICE.
However even though the menu items seemed appropriate I only rate "fair" on the 3 selections we had at our table. For such a beautiful restaurant and bar one expects more flavor in the food.
