We have eaten here before on a previous trip and it was exceptional. Vue 1913 did not disappoint on this trip either. It is just a fabulous restaurant at the Grove Park. The service is also exceptional. We highly recommend trying the Foie Gras entree. It is perfect to split (it is a very rich dish) and it is one of those meals that you will forget. My son said it was the meat version of a "Krispy Kreme" donut! Just fabulous! Highly recommend!
Very sophisticated menu that is a pleasure to the paler. Unique without pushing the boundaries. It was superb service on a relaxing environment. Everything was amazing.
Food was excellent, unique and very flavorful. Wait staff were great and helpful. Restaurant is certainly beautiful and great for a special occasion. Prices were high but it is at the very nice Grove Park Inn.
The food was delicious. I had the Lobster Maine Pot Pie and my husband enjoyed the Catch of the Day, which was Tile Fish. Brain, our waiter, was very knowledgeable as it related to the menu and was able to describe every item explicitly in great detail. He provided exceptional service and was very responsive to our concerns.
Overall the experience at Vue 1913 was very good. The service was fantastic. The food was good/ very good. The menu could be a bit more creative. The duck confit was very good with crispy skin. My wife had roasted oysters that had very good flavor but some of the oysters were very small. Desert options were uninspired.
Limited menu , high quality items
Great food and service. It was a great meal to celebrate a birthday. A bit pricy for what it was, but fantastic all the same.
Very pleasant, indeed. Sophisticated menu, great, attentive service. Pricey, but good value. Great for conversation and catching up.
It’s was a beautiful restaurant. The view was amazing and the ambiance was great. My sister dined there for dinner and we were not impressed with the menu choices. We ended up getting the meat and cheese board. We also enjoyed 2 glasses of wine. It was very expensive and that set us back $80. Would go back for a drink but not to eat there.
Too expensive for quality plus 15 dollars to valet park
The waiter was extremely nice without being overwhelming. He was knowledgeable and very polite the service was great and it was the best clams I've ever tasted. I just wish there were more clams LOL or bigger if that is such a thing. Quiet cozy and enjoyable, pricey though.
Ben was a wonderful server and made excellent recommendations throughout the meal. The food was outstanding as were the views.
Vue 1913 is perfect for special occasion dinners. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable and the food is delicious. Make sure you are there at sunset.
Excellent food, excellent service and a lovely dining area, to top it off.
One generally doesn't expect much from a hotel restaurant, but Vue 1939 surpassed our expectations.
We'd be very happy to make a return visit.
Everything was perfectly balanced between elegance and comfort. One of the best dinning experiences I’ve had in some time.
Order was miss taken. Not a problem. Staff was very attentive and informative. Overall the food was over priced.
Exceptional service and quality of food. Great use of interesting and complex accents on traditional American fare. Good wine list, deep in California wines with enough variation for those who prefer other. Wonderful evening that stands out even from excellent restaurants nationally. Pricey but worth it.
Wonderful location. Excellent food. Incredible service!!
Amazing food and great service. Beautiful view! Such a memorable experience for my boyfriend and I!
We had a lovely meal. The service was outstanding.
As good as food gets. Beautifully prepared and presented. Made my wife’s birthday a memorable occasion.
Amy, our server was superb. Excellent attention to detail, pleasant, professional and courteous. It was a very busy night (New Year’s Eve) and the chef’s plates were well presented and up to temperature. The desserts were meticulous and festive. Drinks were also very well chilled and presented. Overall A+, well done!
New Years Eve
It was nice, but very expensive.
We ate at Vue 1913 on NYE while celebrating our anniversary at the Grove Park. They offered a prix-fixe menu, and everything we tried was delicious. We left the restaurant full and extremely satisfied.
Very good food small portions, very expensive. Good view, friendly service upscale resturant
The best dinner I had all year! I’ll be back he service and the good was excellent. We did not feel rushed at all.
My wife and I were traveling through Asheville and staying overnight downtown. We went to the Omni Grove Park Inn for dinner at Veu 1913. We had an exceptional experience with Diann as our server. We had Short Ribs with Chantrelles and the Steak Frites (filet) with Loster Tail and everything was prepared perfectly. The wine was also exceptional. The prices were a bit high, but worth the experience.
Exsquisite food, service - probably one of the best meals we have ever had. Service superb. Although expensive is worth it!!
Christmas Eve dinner
This is my second time dining at the Vue. We visited last year on Christmas Eve and again this year so it’s become a tradition. Food is excellent and so is service....Five Stars
Overpriced. The portions were extremely small. Excellent service.
Excellent service, food was great, but for the price, we have experienced greater quality food and ambiance.
Food was great, but a poor value. Service was very poor. My wife informed the waiter that she couldn't eat garlic due to her having colitis and her food came out with lots of garlic in it.
Fantastic server and outstanding food made for an enjoyable evening
this is our new tradition every Christmas stat at the omni grove and eat at the vue 1933
A little drafty but everything else was perfect!
Beautiful restaurant in Grove Park Inn. Service was very good. Good wine list - expensive. I thought menu was pretty limited and did not match their menu online. So we were disappointed in a few items not being available. Food was about average but very expensive.
Food is very good but pricey as expected. Good place for special occasions.
Appetizer - Scallops prepared very well with great flavor - $18 for two large scallops
Entrees - chicken with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes; short ribs - both had great flavor
Dessert - crepe brûlée- very good
Total cost about $125
We dined at Vue 1913 on Thursday 12/21. The service we received from our server was fantastic! I believe his name was Jerome. I have a severe gluten and lactose intolerance and he confirmed with the chef that everything I ordered was okay.
The food was wonderful as well!
