Our 39th anniversary. Great place to celebrate.
The dessert was very good. We could easily hear the conversations of our fellow diners and there was a point when we all smelled burning hair and the server said someone had indeed got their hair on fire. That’s a first. Our server was very helpful with choices but my husband’s rib eye was slightly tough and overdone. For the price we expected much better. My chicken meal was delicious.
This is a fabulous restaurant. Everything was perfect as always.
Limited entree menu but made a.meal with apps which were excellent
We went to celebrate our first night of our honeymoon. We were waited on by Kimberly and she made our night perfect! She made great suggestions, the food and wine were great, and the view from the restaurant cannot be matched. Highly recommend!
Very disappointed in our entrees and desserts. Portions small and although they were not busy our food was served cold. The salads were good. Cocktails were good. Service was outstanding! We will not return.
Food was descent, service was good. Overpriced by ~30% in my opinion.
Basically paying for the view and ability to say “yeah, I’ve been there”...
It had been almost 6 months since we’ve dined out at a nice place, so we were EXTREMELY excited to eat at a 4 star restaurant again. Unfortunately this turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Restaurant was VERY slow (due to Covid and social distancing I presume) and our apps came out within minutes, but entrees took almost an additional hour! During that time we only saw our waitress once, when she picked up our app plates! After that we never saw her again. We were not even given any bread and couldn’t even get a refill on our water or order new drinks. Our waitress had the personality of a piece of burnt toast....was just HORRIBLE!!! After waiting about 45 minutes for our entrees I called the manager over to complain, and his personality was even worse than our waitresses. He mumbled something we couldn’t even understand and then walked back to the kitchen. When our entrees came out (Elk Loin and Lobster AKA microwave them. We were so hungry we just said no thank you and even declined the free dessert since by this point we just wanted out of that place. So, while we are still finishing up our cold entrees our elusive waitress appeared out of the corner of my eye, quickly walking our direction, while not even stopping she slammed a metal cup with our bill in it on the corner of our table....and did it hard!!! I yelled “excuse me” but she kept walking. The manager came over and I told him what she did and around the corner the waitress yelled “I DID NOT”. We were in a nightmare! I gave the manager my debit card, paid and ran out of that place!! We were planning on coming back in Feb. to stay at the Grove Park Inn, but because of this we will NEVER come back. WORST $200 EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!
Thank you for your candid feedback regarding your recent dining experience at Vue 1913. We sincerely apologize for the service and wait time you experienced. We have shared your comments with our Food and Beverage Management Team with the goal of improving our guests' experience in future. We hope you will dine with us again so we may show you the dining experience for which we are truly known.
Food was absolutely delicious! Our waitress, Karen, was very attentive. It was our anniversary and we were to feel very special. We were given a complimentary dessert and champagne to celebrate. I was a little disappointed that we weren't able to get a table at the Sunset Terrace at Grove Park Inn, but after dining at Vue 1913 , I would highly recommend this restaurant. It would be a 1st choice next time for sure!
A lovely place for a special evening (we were closing out our honeymoon). Our server Kimberly was attentive and professional without being intrusive. Our filet mignon was perfectly prepared and sides were excellent as well. Cocktails were generous and desserts were divine. We’ll be back!
This was one of our favorite meals ever. The elk was absolutely outstanding and cooked to perfection. The entire meal was amazing from the cocktails to the cheese board to the two desserts we had. The service was wonderful too!
Gorgeous restaurant, great service. Food lacked seasoning, description of the food didn't match what we got. Classic fried chicken, was thin chicken cutlet wrapped around a bland stuffing. Menu looked better at Edisons where we had a drink afterward
Pricey but good. Excellent vegetarian options. Haut cuisine portions.
Perfect date night! My boyfriend got the elk, and I got the sea bass. Definitely add the lobster if you can! Great service and impeccable food. Wine list has a compliment for every dish on the menu. The view is astounding. Definitely a place to eat if you’re in town. Worth every penny!
I gave a 5 on noise level even though there was very loud patron there at the same time. This is because the host and the waiter, also our waiter, handled the situation as well as, and maybe better than, I've ever seen.
Thank you; we genuinely appreciate your observation. Our guest experience of the highest priority, and we are so pleased that your dinner was indicative of such exemplary service despite its challenges. We hope you will be back to enjoy Vue 1913 as it was intended to be experienced soon.
Got a nice table by the window;however, it was Impossible to see the sunset due to the way the window was constructed. My steak had no seasoning but salt and pepper, I.e. filling, seasoning, etc. The whipped potatoes were excellent but the broccolini was way too salty and steak was cooke medium to well. I had ordered medium rare. My husband’s sea bass was equally tasteless. The wine was good and Limberly was the best and was appalled our dinners were so poor and wanted to take it back but we did t wish to go there. I doubt anything we ordered would have been equally tasteless. In fact, all of the meals we had at the Grove Park Inn were not very good. Each restaurant seemed to compete for weird foo-foo food. There was nowhere to get plain food. The breakfast sandwiches were tough and too salty as well. Overall, the cuisine at GPI left a lot to be desired for the price we paid. Sorry
Dishes were cooked very well and were delicious. Portion size of meat good ,but vegetables could have been greater. Nice ambiance & wonderful service, but the cost seemed inflated.
The server Ben was great, everything he recommended was good. The sea bass was the best I’ve ever had. The strawberry shortcake was delish. Thank you for the best night to celebrate my anniversary!!
Thank you for sharing your experience at EDISON, craft ales + kitchen and may we wish you both a very happy anniversary! With Ben as your server, we are thrilled that his recommendations only improved your dinner, from the best sea bass to a delicious strawberry shortcake. We hope you will choose to celebrate with us again soon.
Every course was a work of art! Beautiful, delicious food. Highly recommend.
Our dinner was fantastic. Kudos to the chef. Our service, by Amy, was wonderful. All staff very knowledgable about menu. Would definitely visit again.
Amazing menu, superb flavors, good beverage selection, outstanding service, great mountain sunset view.
The most underwhelming anniversary dinner I’ve ever had. So disappointing.
Food was tasteless. All dishes lacked flavor. Appetizer wasn’t worth eating. My husband’s Masala was dreadful and the naan bread came out burnt. He ended up eating half of my meal which was marginally better, however the seabass tasted like they tipped a container of table salt all over my dish. We didn’t venture for dessert as the first two courses were so terrible.
The service was mediocre and prices were extraordinary in comparison to what we ate and experienced.
Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The hotel and spa, however, was fabulous!
Thank you for your feedback, and may we wish you both a very happy anniversary. We appreciate that you enjoyed The Omni Grove Park Inn as a resort and Spa, however we sincerely apologize that Vue 1913 did not meet expectations. Your concerns have been shared with the Food & Beverage management team in an effort to improve, and we hope you will give us another opportunity to show you the dining experience for which we are truly known.
I know I’m in the minority here, but I didn’t love this restaurant. I, along with 4 friends, ate dinner here on Saturday night. My food was good (not great), but I had 2 friends whose meal was downright bad. For the price, we should have loved our meals.
Thank you for choosing to dine at Vue 1913. We apologize that the food did not meet your expectations. The Omni Grove Park Inn offers four signature restaurants, and we encourage you to visit us again at any of the remaining three for menus more appealing to your palates.
Visiting the Grove Park Inn is always a treat. Eating at Vue 1913 was exceptional. Not only were we able to watch the sun set over the mountains, the restaurant itself was beautifully appointed. My mother has hearing issues and it was quiet enough that even she could participate in conversation. Tables were spaced far enough apart to allow for a sense of privacy, and the table setting was intimate and simply delightful.
The food. What to say about the food? From my sorghum and blueberry salad to my son's elk tenderloin, each dish was exquisitely prepared with attention to detail. Three of our party ordered the filet of beef and each was cooked to perfection. The menu is incredibly well-organized; on the left are vegetarian friendly options, with options for carnivores on the right. The waiter's recommendation for a wine that went with both fried chicken and a vegetarian butter masala dish was impressive- it suited both. The beer drinkers at the table were also not disappointed- they found a local stout that had them raving.
Wait staff was a little too busy to be quite as attentive as we might have liked, but our water glasses didn't go empty and if we had to pour our own wine, well, I think we can live with that in the grand scheme of things.
So the cost. It was about $100 per person, and we did not all order appetizers, salads or dessert. I think you could easily run $150-200 per person if you ordered the Wagyu beef filet, but I don't doubt that it would be worth every cent.
Bottom line: be prepared to spent a good amount of money on a great meal, with a spectacular view, in a lovely setting. Absolutely worth it and I will recommend it to friends and family.
Thank you for your detailed observations. From the sunset to the service, the menu to the noise, we are thrilled that you enjoyed your dining experience at Vue 1913, and we hope to welcome both your fiends and family to our establishment in the future.
Service was amazing.
Excellent food and our server Amy was amazing. Will definitely dine there again.

We come every year and it’s always awesome.
Thank you for your continued patronage. We look forward to serving you another awesome meal soon!
The meal was enjoyable, view off mountains great. Service excellent. Elk tenderloin and sorghum and blueberry salad all excellent. The wonton appetizer terrific. The fennel parsnips soup was good but not as flavorful. Husband ordered the wagyu filet was not as good as others he had had. But the elk tenderloin was among the best meat we’ve ever had. It won’t disappoint! Dessert was also very good.
Thank you for sharing. We appreciate that the view, service, elk tenderloin, wonton appetizer, and dessert all exceeded expectations, however we apologize that certain menu items were not to your liking. Should you choose to dine with us again, we look forward to offering you a terrific meal overall.
Food and service was very good. The wine list as presented by the chef on the menu was very misleading in that most of the wines that were recommended were for some reason NOT available. This reflected poorly on management.
It was excellent! Food and view / atmosphere was fantastic!
Great food and experience
The food and service were great!
Simply amazing! Ive had a lot of high end meals and this tops them all!! Completely worth it!!! Also, Sandi, our waitress, was incredibly informative, super sweet, funny, and very helpful! Absolutely worth it!
Thank you for your kind words towards our dining experience and staff, especially Sandi; she is a valued member of the Omni family and truly embodies what it means to be a hospitality professional. Great service & meal! Worthy of the location.
Thank you for joining us at Vue 1913. From the service to the meal, we appreciate that you enjoyed your dinner and look forward to welcoming you back at another time.
I cannot say enough about the exquisite food, knowledgeable and professional service and lovely ambiance, with a view that is like no other. An experience we cannot wait to repeat. Thank you Vue 1913
Ambiance was nice. Low lighting and pretty decent seat layout that affords some privacy.
Hate to say it, but it’s not often I have to scour the menu just to find something I like. The menu, from appetizers to main course was “creative”.... I’m not looking for a bland meat and potatoes menu, but I felt this menu went to the other extreme.... too funky for its own good.
I settled on the last line item on the menu....the fillet.
It was cooked to perfection, nice presentation.
How about adding some “normal” items to the menu (maybe the local trout ?)
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate that you found the filet was cooked to perfection however apologize that the overall menu was not to your liking. Please know that all of our menus are available for you to view on our website prior to visiting, and we offer three additional signature dining restaurants that may present options more appealing to your palate. We hope you will choose to visit us again at any of the four.
Great meal and ambiance. View of mountains was super... try to go at sunset to fully enjoy.
We hoped for a great meal to celebrate our two birthdays, and Vue 1913 exceeded all our expectations. It began with a wonderful view of sunset behind the Blue Ridge mountains. Then we met our waiter, Ben, who was simply fantastic. He managed to be very personable and fun, while still providing insight and guidance regarding the entire menu. We do not consider ourselves "foodies," but we have had the pleasure of dining in many top establishments around the world, and our dinners at Vue 1913 were simply exquisite. The lamb was not only outstanding quality meat, but prepared perfectly and with some innovative spices. The morel and potatoes were divine, and unlike anything we had ever had. As we joyfully reflected on the meal before departing, we concluded that we will find a way to come back soon to try other selections from the menu, because the food was so different. But, we also concluded that we will probably remember our heartwarming exchanges with Ben even after we have forgotten what was on the plate. I strongly recommend Vue 1913.
