Excellent service, meal and atmosphere. VUE 1913 was an exceptional dining venue to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We look forward to dining here again in the future.
Best meal I've had at a hotel. The lamb was superior!! Save room for dessert!!
We enjoyed an excellent dinner and our server was outstanding. She was knowledgeable and professionally entertaining.
We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday there we had many family members from all over the country. The food was amazing our server and everyone else who helped us was so gracious and kind
We went for the Ricotta Gnocchi and they switched it for sweet potato Gnocchi, which was not on the menu.
Server’s were on top of every detail, the food surpassed expectations, and the view of the sunset and mountains was breathtaking. All together a fully dimensional experience!
A beautiful restaurant with wonderful food. We were seated in an elevated section away from the window and I suppose the secondary staff (bread servers) just didn't check these areas because we had to ask three times for bread which finally came with our main course...not with our appetizer or prior. Just a tad annoying for an expensive meal. The waitress was very knowledgeable about all the food and brought us a Happy Anniversary plate at the conclusion of our meal. Very nice overall.
Thank you for dining with us, and may we once again wish you a very happy anniversary! We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the food and celebratory dessert plate, however apologize for the inconsistent service. We hope you will give us the opportunity to show you the full guest experience we strive to provide daily upon your next visit.
A great experience. We will dine here again.
It was a blessing to have our Anniversary dinner here. And Ben was an amazing server. He made the night extra special.
food was excellent and our service was outstanding. is fairly expensive
Very nice dining experience. Wait staff did an awesome job. Entrees were excellent and meats cooked perfectly to order. Appetizer chowder was slightly heavy on salt. Table by the window for four was nice but was very close to the hostess stand.
Thank you for visiting Vue 1913. We appreciate that you enjoyed your entrees, as well as the view and service, and apologize that the chowder was not to your liking. We hope you will choose to dine with us again soon, when we may improve upon your experience as a whole.
Very disappointed. We have eaten here a few times and always felt Price’s very very high. Last night the waitress dropped the cork of a wine she was opening on the floor and still put next to my wife’s plate. When we left we had her put the rest of the wine in her glass. She continually interrupted someone in the middle of their sentence instead on waiting for them to finish. Ordered the pork belly. I love salt, but this was so salty it literally was not eatable. This is most likely our last visit
Thank you for joining us. We have shared your concerns and internal notes with the Food & Beverage management team and, should you choose to dine with us again, we look forward to the opportunity of showing you the same high standard of service for which we are truly known.
Excellent attentive staff
Excellent quality ingredients, presentation, taste and service!
Recommend for a special occasion
We had a great dinner - the service, facility, "sunset," and entries were all exceptional. A great end to a wonderful day.
My only criticisms are the menu and liquors were very limited for such a nice and highly rated restaurant. The menu choices were much more limited than we expected. The items were prepared very well - it just was a limited choice for all areas - appetizers, main courses, and deserts. I asked for a drink of a bourbon that was at the bar down the hall and they went to get it for me- they did not have the bottle on site. Again the limited menu and bar items are not what I have come to expect from high end "5 star" restaurants in major cities and hotels.
Menu changes from what I saw online were a problem both in price and selection.
Once we asked for gf options server was accommodating. I also received complimentary chocolates and a rose for my birthday which was a lovely touch.
Next time I’ll bring hubby and plan to spend more!
Thank you for reaching out, and happy birthday! We are so pleased that the service exceeded expectations and apologize for any confusion with the menu. The Omni Grove Park Inn website is the best resource for current information online, and we do recommend any dietary restrictions, including the need for gluten free options, be made aware to the server and chefs. We can certainly accommodate your request and will help you navigate the menu. We look forward to welcoming you and your husband back.
Capstone of our 10th anniversary! The staff, the food, and the experience are why we decided to come back and celebrate at Vue. Loved it and we absolutely plan on coming back. Was a little loud from all the talking of one of the groups, but it was no bother. A giant Thank You to everyone at Vue
Thank you for choosing to dine with us, and may we once again wish you a very happy 10th anniversary! We are thrilled that you continue to make Vue 1913 your special occasion destination, and we look forward to welcoming you back for many years of celebrations still to come.
Slow service, poor quality food made for a negative experience. While the view and the ambiance of the restaurant are nice we found the food lacking. Lobster over cooked, mealy grits with very little flavor, and dry chicken. The charcuterie board was tasty. Will not return
Thank you for choosing to visit us. This is not the dining experience for which we are truly known, and we sincerely apologize that the evening fell short of expectations. We have shared your comments with the Vue 1913 management team as well as the Executive Chef, and we hope you will return to enjoy the high standard of service we strive to provide every day.
My birthday dinner, thank you.06cy0voyc4s74srxrxrxtxycuvuvuv9yx9ycytxy9coycycyyccyc9ycc
Thank you for celebrating at Vue 1913, and may we wish you a very happy birthday! We hope you will choose to visit us again, perhaps making such a special occasion an annual tradition.
Excellent service from greeting to departure. Karen was an excellent server. Food was excellent. Like the fact that they have a kids menu so we can enjoy with our young daughter. We loved Horizons, but we recall it was nearly impossible to bring a child under 12 to dinner at Horizons (no options for kids). Not sure why this is describes as a French bistros, it not anything like the bistros I’ve been to in France, but that doesn’t really matter. The food and service are both wonderful.
Thank you for your continued patronage. What was once Horizons is now Vue 1913, and we couldn't agree more that the family friendly environment has certainly improved. We also sincerely appreciate your kind words towards Karen; she truly embodies what it means to be a hospitality professional and is a valued member of the Omni family. We look forward to welcoming both you and your daughter back any time.
I'm sorry but I don't mind spending $$ on good food but there was nothing we ordered on the menu that was worth spending this amount of money and we huge foodies. A very tired space with very tired food.
Thank you for sharing. We sincerely apologize that your dining experience fell short of expectations and hope you will give us another opportunity to show you what it truly means to dine at Vue 1913.
The food was over priced and of poor quality. We are happy to pay top price for a great meal, but this food is far from great. The portions are small, the lobster was over cooked, and the food had little taste.
Thank you for reaching out. We apologize that the lobster was not to your liking and have shared your feedback with the Executive Chef with the goal of improving.
Staff was very professional and ambiance was lovely. Both of our entrees were way too overly salty (mine almost to the point of being inedible). Menu prices were a bit steep— $16 for three wontons and $38 for a plate of mushrooms and mashed potatoes. But overall a nice experience and we will return at some point in the future.
We thought that the menu was limited and overpriced. The food was tasty and fresh, but our orders were very slow in coming out and one salad was served about 10 minutes before the other.
Thank you for your feedback. We are thrilled to hear that the food was tasty and fresh upon arrival, however apologize for the lack of promptness. This is not the service we aim to deliver. Should you choose to dine with us again, we have shared your concerns with the Food and Beverage management team and will use this as an opportunity to better our operation.
Wonderful meal, great service & AMAZING sunset
Overall a great experience that we would gladly do all over again. The food and scenic views were a great way to spend the evening.
The food was fantastic! I ordered the lobster and grits! It was really delicious! I was underwhelmed by the view.
Thank you for sharing. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the food at Vue 1913, especially the lobster and grits, however apologize that the panoramic mountain view was not to your liking. Should you choose to dine with us again, we look forward to serving you yet another fantastic meal.
Excellent, unique food, fabulous service and stunning view.
Very expensive!!! View was ok but not the best. Food was prepared perfectly.
Service was excellent and food was prepared to perfection. Wait staff was on point through our entire dinner.
Thanks to staff of the Vue 1913 for a very enjoyable dining experience . Will definitely return on our next stay at GPI.
Wedding anniversary. Service great. But the food too pricey for what you got.
The quality of food has declined in the past decade or so when I last visited. The menu, while not short, didn't have many interesting choices. The prices were very high (and this is coming from someone who lives and dines frequently in New York and other culinary capitals) and some of the portions were minuscule. My cocktail (on a hot summer day) was mostly ice cubes with a little tequila (four small sips). There's something to be said for the stunning view and reveling in the charm of an historic hotel, but I doubt that many people would rush back for a re-visit.
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that the food was not to your liking upon your return visit. The menu is updated seasonally, and we hope you will choose to dine with us again for a newer, fresher meal in the future.
The most amazing dinner . Elk tenderloin... so great!
A very nice restaurant. The portion was minuscule. I had the lamb, I counted 4 bite pieces, 4. At $48 I had expected a bit more. I don’t know, call me crazy.
This is by far one of the finest restaurants I dine in. I have been here several times and each time it is great. The service, food and atmosphere is fabulous. I highly recommend dining here if you are in the area or a guest of the hotel.
Our server was extremely knowledgeable and explained every course thoroughly.
The view of the mountains was amazing!
It was very romantic!!
We have tried the salad and wasn't that bad.. but my quantity was really poor.
Mushroom meal no flavor..
Meat was ok.
Thank you for reaching out. We apologize if your meal was anything less than exemplary. Should you choose to dine with us again, we will share your feedback with the Executive Chef in an effort to improve.
Went to Vue 1913 to celebrate our anniversary, and we were given a table with a wonderful view of the mountains. The service was impeccable; everyone from the person who seated us, to our waitress and her assistant, was friendly, professional, and attentive. The menu is imaginative, with half devoted to vegetarian dishes. We split the artisanal cheeses and the sorghum and blueberry salad. For our entrees, my husband had the elk tenderloin, and I chose the lobster and grits. All were well-prepared and delicious. As a nice finishing touch, our waitress brought a red rose, along with chocolate hazelnut truffles and an edible anniversary "card" of dark chocolate. I would definitely recommend Vue 1913 for a special occasion.
Thank you for sharing, and may we once again wish you both a very happy anniversary. From the panoramic mountain views to each delicious dish, we are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your dining experience at Vue 1913. We look forward to celebrating many years of marriage with you again in the future.
My wife and I highly value creativity and distinctiveness in restaurants. If you want standard American faire with a small degree of distinctiveness, this is great. If your taste range is a little more conservative and a little less adventurous, then this is great. If you are unconcerned about cost, this is great. But it is a high priced meal that is definitely of good quality but only somewhat original. There are numerous restaurants in Asheville which cost considerably less but whose meals can be genuinely memorable for more creative and adventurous eaters. Our costs for this meal were about $65 per person, and it was a "good" meal, but the night before, we went to a restaurant in Asheville and paid about $45 per person and it was highly memorable and distinctive.
Very small food portions for the prices and left us still hungry after dinner, but overall enjoyed our experience!
