Very nice casual setting, beautiful view. Our entrees were very good, service and staff were pleasant.
Will return for the view!
Worst service ever! Had a reservation...waited...15 minutes finally got water...30 minutes later our food order was taken....60 minutes later our food arrived. The table next to us was in and out with food in under 45 minutes. Never going again no matter how great the view is!
The menu was small but quaint. The food was good but not amazing.
At the Vu there is a spectacular view of lower Manhattan, which is made more enjoyable by the excellent cuisine. We tried the CRISPY CHICKEN SCHNITZEL & LANCASTER COUNTY FRENCH CUT CHICKEN BREAST, both delicious. The staff is happy to try to accommodate all of your needs. We'll return to try more entrees.
Exceptionally friendly service.
Beautiful experience! Excellent service, amazing food! Can’t wait to go back!
Great food, great service, and an outstanding view!
Easter Brunch! Lovely buffets for salads soups charcuterie. Fabulous entree of ham with cheese grits. Much more elegant than it sounds!
Asked to have a special dessert saying happy birthday but the simple request wasn’t fulfilled.
Unbeatable view. Great ambiance. Decent food. Excellent wine list.
Fantastic view. Been there 7-8 times already. Will go again.
Food was cold but they took it off the bill and manager was very gracious!
Great view but that’s it. Nothing extraordinary on the menu. No Specials. Pricey for the quality of food.
Loved the view, and food wasn’t bad at all. Would definitely visit the Vu again.
Celebrated a birthday. Food was very good. Service was good. A little dark but lovely restaurant
Great view of Manhattan and the traffic on the river, and to watch a snow storm blow in. Beer flight was good, as was the tomato soup. The charcuterie and cheese was uninspired. Desert was bland and under seasoned.
I was very worried after reading the reviews about this establishment from other people. After experiencing first hand I must say this restaurant exceeded my expectations. When you first walk in you up the escalators and walk straight ahead. As you proceed down there is a nice bar in the center of the room which was very good. Me and my gf ordered a drink while we were waiting to be seated. Beers were average priced $6-$7 and my gf got a margarita $14 which was a little steep but they use all top shelf liquor which was great! When our table was ready within 15 min the hostess came to get us from the bar. She brought us to our table which was right in front of these huge windows that have the most mesmerizing views of Manhattan and the new freedom tower. I can not say it enough how gorgeous this view was. As far as for the food they have a wife range of options that can please almost anyone. I ordered the pork chop over polenta which was amazing! It's huge in size so if you do decide to order make sure you are hungry. The sauce it came with was very sweet which was very nice just but not my favorite. My gf ordered a crab cake with polenta and Mac and cheese. Crab cake was possibly the best crab cake either of us have ever had. Filled with mostly all crab meat and minimal breadcrumbs which to me is how it should be. Overall I would give this restaurant 9/10 and for food 8/10. Will definitely be back.
AWFUL! Never again!
After having a terrible meal we were then charged $35 for parking for 90 minutes. The parking attendant explained to be sure to get our ticket validated before we leave when we arrived.
We did so & that was the “discounted price”. We were never told we would be charged for parking even though we were dining at the location.
The food was terrible. It tasted as though it was cheap room service. Also overpriced just like room service!
Small portions & high prices.
The crab cake had no taste & the lava cake was the size of a peanut butter cup.
Luckily we had a view!
Wasted $200 on a meal & came home hungry & aggravated.
The view is absolutely breathtaking and the food, excellent!!! The hostess and server were wonderful!!! Absolutely romantic, I took my boyfriend to dinner and he can't stop talking about BUT! WE will be going back after Valentine's Day!
View is great! Food and service good. Parking fee @ $25 exorbitant for dining guests.
We went to Vu for my mother's birthday and it was a spectacular experience. The food was amazing, the view was beautiful, and the dining area was so ambient. I would recommend for anyone looking for a meal for a special occasion!
Great views and food and service and drinks. Superb overall
My daughter's salmon was not cooked, I asked for hamburgers "well done" for my son and I and they were cooked around the edges only, pink/red the rest. The waitress gave us another salmon but then I complained that my hamburger was not well done, she offered another one but I declined and then I realized that my sons hamburger was not fully cooked. She then gave us 25% off . I didn't feel like making a big deal and just left without more complaints. Disappointed.
Wahnsinns-Aussicht. Super Essen.

A bit pricier than I expected, but overall a worthy experience. I liked the calm affect the surrounding river and skylines give off in the entire restaurant.
Great food, good and friendly service, and most important: Fantastic view.
Went for Sunday Brunch. No buffet available, just ala carte. Food was OK, service was very good, view was fabulous.
The food is fairly pricey. The service is always a question mark.
Friendly, informed service...not noisy...good value for lunch.
Beautiful view, extremely mediocre food, overpriced.
well worth the trip, great service, very friendly staff
Our server Nikki was amazing! She made great suggestions for our dinner. Also, surprised us for a birthday celebration. The rest of staff was equally great. Service was fast and efficient.
Great brunch, lovely service, beautiful view. Im sure it would have been even more breath taking at night!
Belinda was a great waitress. Very knowledgeable and helpful. People bussing the tables were aggressive.
Sat with a nice view with the lunch menu (we were there for brunch). When the waiter came he said they were no longer serving brunch (even though there was an hour left in their serving window). So we ordered lunch. Food was cold, waiter did not check on us, and we had to flag down staff twice before our waiter came to settle our check.
Amazing location with complete view of the Manhattan skyline. The service was wonderful and the food was fabulous. They took special care to make arrangements for a post-engagement dinner complete with the prime, font & center, waterfront table and chilled champagne waiting at the table for our arrival. Highly recommend.
Great service and atmosphere. The food was good. The scenery amazing.
I believe this is my 3rd visit in many years, so that tells you something since it's only 2 miles from where I live. The hostess was nice and helpful. Wait staff is lacking. You have to flag people down to get a drink and they almost never refill your water (we had purchased bottled sparkling water). The food was good. I had the filet mignon and she had the flat iron steak. We split a Caesar, which was good but not great. The views are spectacular of Manhattan and the food is pretty good, but the service is always subpar.
Amazing servers and delicious food. We'll be back again definitely!
