Voyagers- Perdido Beach Resort Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I visited this restaurant while on vacation. We both had steaks and they were ok. We expected them to be better based on the prices. We had a chocolate mousse torte that was wonderful! And I had a chocolate martini that was exceptional! Rico was our waiter and he was very attentive. He definitely made out experience enjoyable!
We are locals originally from are large cosmopolitan city who are accustomed to fine dining, which is limited in our area.
The service is impeccable and all staff will make you feel special. It is obvious that they pride themselves on outstanding service.
The past two visits we had Rico as our server and either Sergio or Cylea assisting Rico. Both experiences were wonderful and they all did an outstanding job.
Our favorites are the ceaser salad, and lobster tails with a tomatoe infused butter dipping sauce, inclusing asparagus wrapped bacon and also includes delicate potatoe thinly sliced with a slight cream drizzle on top.
We generally order a bottle of Shiraz or Malbec.
The manager is always helpful and ensures all is to our satisfaction.
We love this restuarant and recommend ordering a drink in the lobby. The bar is a bit hidden but just priceed straight ahead when entering to the glass windows as there is a sunken bar in that area. We had great service there and enjoyed some french champagne before proceeding to dinner.
Our server, Christina was very attentive and knowledgeble about her wines. She helped us with our selection. We chose Cain Five, a red blend of Cabernet, Cab Franc and Merlot that is full body, with a cherry tobacco and lingering oak and a tawny bite! This wine is spectacular! I was shocked at it's price point per glass $10. I have had bottom of the barrel reds for $12. Our server was nice to tell us a story that goes behind this great wine selection. Cain Five is exclusivly made for Voyagers Restaurant. The owner lives in California and has his own vineyard. The bottles are only sold at the restaurant uncorked. So buy a bottle, sit and enjoy your romantic evening, like we did! The food is Contemporary Coastal We are foodie fans, and we give this Chef and the kitchen crew two thumbs up! The soup of the day, I believed to be a Creamy Carrot Curry soup that had little bites of crab. This soup was incredible! My entree was Herb Roasted Gulf Shrimp on a bed of Crab Salad. We also had the Ribeye with a side of Sweet Roasted Corn that had a thin layer of melted cheese on top. For all of you steak lovers, this is on the top of our list!! You have to try it to believe it! We had a wonderful experience! If Voyagers Restaurant was close to our home in New Orleans, they would know us by first name:) For now, its close enough to where we will be back for another road trip and a visit to Voyagers! Enjoy everyone!
The Voyager is our favorite restaurant. Viktor is the perfect waiter and goes out of his way to meet our every need. Mr. Eddie is cordial and efficient and welcomes us so warmly each time we dine there. We would recommend the Voyager to all our friends and family members.
Phenomenal!! My husband, sister and I stayed at the Perdido Beach Resort for a short vacation and Voyagers came highly recommended. It did not disappoint!! We are natives of New Orleans so we know good food! The oysters bienville were a little different from those I've had in Nola but they were delicious with great flavor. The Grouper entree in its entirety was flavorful and creative. The steak was tender as ever. Do yourself a favor and try the Bread Pudding!!! Overall fantastic dining experience. We will definitely return if we are in Orange Beach again!
My wife and I dine at Voyagers on our visits to Orange Beach. ( 2 or 3 times each year) The food, the ambiance, the service, has always been superb. Our 1st dinner date at Voyagers was in 2004. We hope to have many more dinner dates at Voyagers.
My appetizer was the Cold Platter. Oysters on the half shell, a lobster tail, crab claws, jumbo shrimp, enough for a meal and I ordered the small. Highly recommend!
My entree was a beef filet, aged and tasty, melt in your mouth tenderness. My side was cream spinach.
Desert was bread pudding, served hot with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream, yummy. It's a huge serving, more than enough for two.
My wife enjoyed the fried green tomato appetizer and oysters bienville for her entree.
The staff is friendly and gracious. The view is spectacular, especially at sunset.
The prices are very reasonable for this upscale restaurant. We each had 2 glasses of wine with our meal and our check was about $120 total.
Get a reservation, especially during the summer months.
Went to Voyagers after someone recommended through our Ttavel Agent. My husband and I were celebrating our 34th anniversary and wanted to enjoy our time away. Voyagers was nice, but the best part was the cheese and meat tray. Our entrees were both overcooked, which can be a game changer. We did enjoy appetizer, salad and dessert! We also enjoyed our server. I still recommend Voyagers and just have to believe this night was an off night for the chef!
