Over a very high class feeling place. From the private elevator taking you to the top of the Rio to the wonderful view of the night lights of Las Vegas. It’s on the more pricy end of things but the food is undeniably wonderful. If you want to impress then this is the place for you. Ask for Jeff. He was my server and a wonderful host.
Only problem I had was with noise. It all came from one table so it was really only a problem with our particular trip. With it being as tight nit as it was it just takes one loud woman with to much wine to fill out side of the Restueant.
Overall I would recommend this for anyone looking for some good Steak and a great view. Dress to impress because the Voodoo Steak House Diserves it.
Bone in rib eye fair to poor. Dry, tough and lacked flavor. Service good but lacks the standards and etiquette of a premium steak house. C+
I ordered a surf and turf filet and lobster tail. The only thing good was the lobster, the steak was really dry, even though cooked to medium which was my request, but was really dry. The green beans got my girlfriend sick, we took food home, her son got sick from the green beans as well. I was really disappointed with the steak, our waiters often rudeness delivering utensils and such. Was just an all around unsatisfactory experience. I have dined at voodoo many times in years past. This was by far the worst and I won't be coming back at all. Voodoo WAS my all time favorite upscale steakhouse to frequent a few times a year when finances permitted.
Great food and service. Pricey but expected.
Food and service were outstanding! Large portions so come hungry or share. I would recommend making a reservation as well. Will definitely be back!
In Vegas for a Spring Break get away.Wonderful view of Las Vegas.Outstanding Rib Eye steak cooked to perfection.Girlfriend had a wonderful seafood entrée that was also cooked just the way she likes it.(not sure what she ordered, but she said it was great).Went outside after dinner and danced to a DJ that had everyone out on the floor having fun.Would go back here anytime!Oh, almost forgot. Our waiter could not have been more friendly and attentive.
Very slow night. Food was just ok. Have been here many times. Was not impressed this time at all.
Great server and very attentive to guests. Touch table frequently with nice smile on face at all times. Very pleasant and friendly. Food is great and nice presentation.
Our birthday dinner was amazing!! Our waiter was outstanding ....
Ordered two of the most expensive things on the menu seafood platter and tomahawk steak. Waited and waited for our food for what seemed like forever for the food to finally come . Asked for the tomahawk steak to be cooked medium well. It was served to us basically still rare. And like warm by this time we were starving and just wanted to eat because it was our last night in Vegas. The seafood was also a disappointment tasted frozen and old definitely not fresh . The only thing we actually enjoyed was the elevator ride and the view. Didn’t even know we could go out on the balcony until our waiter told the table next to us but sure forgot to mention that to us because we didn’t have on a suit and tie. I wouldn’t recommend going here to anyone at this point still very upset for how much we paid and the service and food we received
We were having a special dinner for a friend that was celebrating her birthday and first trip to Las Vegas. John really took care of our table and her. Such a beautiful restaurant
We had a large party & two of the meals were served after everyone else was done eating. This is just not acceptable. They should of comped both meals. We have been here many times but the quality has gone downhill.
Although we both had been to Las Vegas many times, we had never stayed at The Rio or dined at the VooDoo Steak House. We were tired from traveling all day and just wanted to stay at the hotel, have a nice dinner and relax. We had a great waiter, a wonderful dinner and were seated by the window to enjoy the beautiful views.
Do go but be on your toes for quality.
Unfortunately the aged steaks were over salted and the lobster over cooked.
I think it was the chefs day off ! (Joke)
The staff were pleasant and obliging.
As 3/4 meals were mediocre it was taken as the norm and the party decided not to make a fuss as it would also ruin the occasion, which perhaps was a mistake however - .
I would go again but complain immediately if my food was not as it should be to my expectations : the restaurant nicely provided a celebration drink for us gratis and they were very pleasant So go and enjoy it but be prepared..
Jamal was an excellent server! Recommend the crab cake and the bananas foster dessert.
Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Thank you!
I loved the view of night-time Vegas, and the Filet Mignon was perfectly done, as was the beets salad.
Superb drinks, setting, view and service! Every trip to Vegas should include this fine dining at the top of the Rio.
Food was excellent! They knew how to cook a steak black & blue - it was perfect! The lobster mac & cheese was a party for the mouth. And the staff was very attentive.
Our waiter Billy was fabulous. Loved the view and the relaxing nature of the restaurant.
Family vacation in Vegas to see shows. Voodoo has a spectacular view and nice vibe. But like all dining in Vegas it’s very expensive. I shared the land and sea with 1 choice with my daughter and it was served already split for each. Steak was very tender and the crab legs were split and cooked perfectly.
Food and ambiance was great....server not so great. Used my total rewards points and was never asked for ID....anybody could have used one of my cards that I lose in slot machines from time to time and had a $140 off there bill
This place is phenomenal! Billy and Janet made my experience unforgettable! Billy was my server and Janet was my photographer. I will be coming back here, surely!
Great place to eat and enjoy the view of Vegas strip from 50th floor.
Perfect for the romantic birthday for my wife, service was great and the view breathtaking.
Food was great, however, we there for our anniversary. Restaurant was almost empty. After we ordered they seated a rowdy family next to us. We asked to move to one of the many other table and was told they were unavailable. They tried to seat another couple next to us and they said " not here next to the noisy people, so they seated them away in the same area we wanted. I asked why and was told those tables were not available till a certain time. Our anniversary was not the quiet, romantic evening we planned. The staff did not seem sorry at all. Will not return.
I ordered my steak medium but it was medium well. When I mentioned that to the waiter he told me to wait until I cut to the middle but he will check back with me. Steak was still medium well and the waiter never checked back with me. The view is amazing but the food is overpriced for the quality.
I finished my meal b4 my husband's steak came out. He requested it be cooked "medium", it was definitely "well done". I expect this from Outback Steakhouse. Lobster bisque is ok. It was Valentine's Day. I expected a better seat near a window. Chair was falling apart. I wanted it to end quickly so I could go get a burger. The violinist was the best part.
It was a great experience. Normally when you go to a fine dining restaurant the food is good but the portions are small. This wasn’t the case with our meal. We actually weren’t able to finish our food because there was so much. It was excellent. Highly recommend.
Wife and I really enjoyed dinner. But I think a better value is easy to find.
We went here for Valentine's Day dinner & the music was loud. So much for a romantic dinner. There was a violinist which we didn't mind but the speakers were so loud that we had to ask the waiter to turn it down. They did what we asked but it was still a loud ambience than what we expected. The 5 course prix fix menu was absolutely delicious which included a 40 oz porterhouse steak. It was tender, seasoned perfectly & a melt in your mouth steak. Even the bread basket was delicious. The dessert tray looked adorable & well thoughtfully crafted that I felt bad tearing it up to eat it! VooDoo is 5 stars as a steakhouse but for a romantic evening, this is not the place to go. Great view of the strip since it is on the 50th floor of the Rio hotel.
We arrived about 15 minutes early for reservations, Valentines Day. The hostess said we could not be seated in our window table before our reservation, but could be seated in a booth if we wanted, or go to the bar. There was no waiting room or other place to sit. As we walked to the bar we saw individuals eating at several window tables, and then a large group of window tables open. We decided not to sit at the bar, returned to the hostess to ask why we couldn't be seated. She said they did not have waitstaff yet. We asked if we could just sit at our table until our reservation, and she said no.
We stood around and then were seated. I found it a bit unusual, that even though this was Valentines Day, there were no flowers or any candle on the table. The wandering violinist was very good but the sound was way too loud- we, and the table next to us, asked to have it turned down so that at least we could hear one another. Our server did take care of that.
We decided to go with their price fixed Valentines Day menu, and ordered a bottle of wine to go with it. Our server, Jamal, was very good.
The shrimp appetizer was nice done and came quickly. This was followed by a grilled romaine salad, that was served on one plate- two large romaine leaves topped with a single slice of toasted bread. There were no serving utensils nor did they offer to put it on our individual plates. The romaine leaves were considerably longer than the salad plates and the single slice of toasted bread was very difficult to cut in two. The romaine leaves were tasty, however.
The main course, a 40 oz porterhouse, was beautifully presented and excellent in taste as well as tender. The rissotto with truffles had so much garlic that you could not taste the truffles.
The tray of deserts was very nice, especially the white chocolate shell hearths.
All in all just an OK experience that could have been much better with a bit of effort by the hostess. Not on par with other strip restaurants.
Food is excellent but expensive. My wife picked a drink that cost $45 (no drink price on the menu). Seemed very much like a rip off. Why when I tried to make a reservation they acted so swamped but the place is dead when we got there? Really? Couldn't make a 6:00 reservation for two but 5:30 is open. Get there at 5:30 and the place was dead! To make it worse there was still plenty of room at 6:00. Very strange.
Special Valentines Day menu posted on website, but no mention of the option when ordering dinner. In fact, no mention of Valentine's Day. Would have appreciated a red rose on the tables, a chocolate candy with the bill, something special to mark the day. Also limited choice of seating at 5:00 pm reservation. Told we would have to wait for 6:00 pm time if we wanted a table closer to the strip. No one at reservation check-in booth downstairs in advance of 5:00 pm reservation. No signs informing guests to wait there or proceed to elevator. Several guests milling around elevator trying to decide what to do. Poor welcome as introduction to the dining experience.
Amazing services and the food was amazing. The ambiance was perfect
This was my 2nd time at VooDoo. The first time, we had the tomahawk, which I highly recommend, if you like steak. This time, we had the 20oz. bonein ribeye........I would recommend the tomahawk over this choice. It was "just ok".
The view was great and the service (thanks John) was exceptionally superb! We'll be back for the tomahawk.
Always a fantastic experience. Amazing food and wonderful staff. Definitely worth it.
Fun place! Great value for locals. The good was good and the atmosphere was really nice. Never know who you’ll run in to here 😉.
VooDoo NEVER disappoints! We visited this time for my sons 21st Birthday and it was exceptional. From the time you are greeted at the podium you feel like a VIP! You are greeted by a smiling face, sent up in a private elevator, greeted again by the hosts, then seated in style. It makes you feel special, even on the 20 or 30th visit! ;) We had mixed drinks, seafood appetizers and of course some of the best steaks in Las Vegas. All were cooked to perfection and delicious. Thank you (AGAIN) for being one of my favorite places to visit in Las Vegas!
The restaurant was beautiful up on the 50th floor. The view was amazing. The ribeye we ordered was over seared which caused a weird crust that wasn't appetizing. The waiter and help staff was great and made sure we weren't in need of anything. The complimentary champagne at the end for our anniversary was a nice touch, normally we get complimentary dessert.
