VooDoo Steakhouse - Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino Ratings and Reviews
Food was outstanding as it is every time we eat there and that is every time we are in Vegas. Always ask for the same waiter ( Jeff) and have done so for years. This trip was for my 82 birthday and I had the Halibut it was very nice and being from British Columbia I know a thing or two about fish also they had a new salad beet and goat cheese which was the best salad I ever had!! If you are in the area you should try to eat there hope you enjoy it as much as my family and myself have over the years.
We loved this restaurant! We both had steaks that were cooked to perfection. The lobster bisque was out of this world and very unique (tiny pieces of apple). We went there for our 25th anniversary. Our fantastic waiter allowed us to take our time and served us each a glass of delicious champagne at the end of the meal. We would definitely go back there again. A very unique and excellent restaurant.
Service was outstanding, our waiter was excellent. I had a special request for my daughter, she wanted lobster mashed potatoes and The chef did a remarkable job! A+++ You guys need to put them on your menu excellent. Thanks so much for that. The steaks we ordered were bone in ribeyes. Mine was just ok not much seasoning or just a blan steak idk? But the lobster bisque and lobster mashed potato’s were the bomb. Overall great place will definitely be there again! Thanks again Dave D. in Colorado
Very disappointing. Food was average. Salmon was undercooked and absolutely tasteless. It came with a few halves of heirloom cherry tomatoes and that was it--$50. I don't have a problem paying for good food and good ambiance and service. The only thing this place had going for it was the service. There was a very loud table of drinking young women--hooting and hollering and downing shots, right next to us. I came here for a nice quiet romantic meal for my boyfriend's birthday. They should seat the larger groups on one side and the couples looking for more quiet atmosphere on the other. If I wanted to see drunk girls being rowdy, I could go just about anywhere in Vegas. I came here to get away from that. The place is very overpriced. You get a nice view but what good is that if the food sucks and the atmosphere is loud and boisterous. I actually am quite surprised that the maitre'd didn't come and ask them to quiet down--it was THAT bad. $150 on crap. I would have done better going to a bar and having appetizers.
Food and view were great. Waiter became very rude and provided poor service after our daughter said she wasn’t feeling that well and would share a meal with her mother. Go figure - best location of any restaurant, superb cuisine and to have a waiter spoil it all...
Food was good but server made mistakes. He only served one entree. After 20 minutes of waiting we said we would just share the served entree. After we almost finished the entree he brought out the other entree that we cancelled and said to eat what we can because it was free. It showed up on the bill!
Table ambience was only average. Table cloth and candle would have helped. Primary items like scallops and halibut were not available. Service was good but not over the top. Food was ok but again not anything special and with only average value. The view of course was fabulous. The outside patio is great but without service. The overall layout of the restaurant is starting to show its age but still ok. With the competition in Vegas this place needs to catch up.
The view is spectacular from the 50th floor of the Rio. Our server Jacinto was very patient, kind, and prompt with service. The scallops were exquisite and the asparagus was the best I’ve eaten. Very memorable meal for my birthday.
Wow! Food was excellent, view was outstanding, Service fantastic! Olive tapenade with the bread was to die for!! Filet Mignon you could cut with a fork. Sweet and tender Lobster tail and Prawns. What more could you ask for on date night? An awesome and humorous wait staff and yes they were.
I took my son to Las Vegas this past weekend for his 21st birthday. I picked this restaurant due to it being in the hotel we were staying (Rio). What a wonderful surprise that it was more than I thought it would be. My son had a memorable evening from the food and his big first legal drink, The Witch Doctor!
The view is breathtaking of the whole Las Vegas strip and surrounding

Came here Sunday night with my husband for a special occasion.
PROS: The view of the lights on the Vegas Strip we're pretty cool. The inside of the restaurant was classy & sophisticated. The menu had gourmet & upscale options. The appetizers & sides (especially macaroni) were great!!
CONS: Lighting/Glare/Reflection on glass makes taking a pic of the view almost impossible. The Wagyu ribeye was not evenly cooked & was over-spiced (very salty). My husband & I were celebrating a special occasion & would have appreciated NOT being sat beside the only other table (of 15 loud people) in the restaurant for our romantic evening.
Our server Jamal was busy with this large table & forgot about me & my husband. However, a couple that arrived After us was served their drinks & appetizers & were even their dinner before my husband & I were asked to place our order!! -so basically we were forgotten twice!!!not Very disappointing & took away from the entire experience of our special occasion.
Maybe this was just an off night for the wait staff? I'm sure these are nice people, just crappy timing.. Sadly, the next time we celebrate, we will not be returning to VooDoo.
This was dinner for my birthday celebration dinner. We had dined here previously and were disappointed but since we were staying at Rio, we thought we would give it another chance.
Glad that we did as both the food and service were excellent. The view from the 51st floor is stunning. Our only complaint was being seated right by terrace door, as it was cold and drafty every time people went in or out.
It would be nice if they added some type of buffer from the elements.
Service was terrible. We waited 2 hours for dinner with a medium filled restaurant. When the food finally showed up the crab was fishy and the steak for medium rare was like chewing on jerky. The matrady was very short when speaking with my wife and I, and dident really apologize for the food or the terrible service. It's too bad, my wife and I were very excited for a great experience. Settled for Philly cheese steaks in a bar. Booo.
Hands down the best dining experience I have ever had in many trips to Vegas. We went based on the reviews, especially the view. When your waiter tells you he has been there for 21 years that immediately told me something. I will say, the signature drink was a bit pricey, but very good and very shareable. Everything at our table was very good. No complaints at all and make sure you step outside for the views. If I was to comment negatively on one very small thing, I found it odd that our waiter had to search for salt and pepper shakers. To me those should always be on the table. Great meal, great service, great view. Bill for table of four including drinks and tip about $450.
