VooDoo Steakhouse - Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino Ratings and Reviews
Came here Sunday night with my husband for a special occasion.
PROS: The view of the lights on the Vegas Strip we're pretty cool. The inside of the restaurant was classy & sophisticated. The menu had gourmet & upscale options. The appetizers & sides (especially macaroni) were great!!
CONS: Lighting/Glare/Reflection on glass makes taking a pic of the view almost impossible. The Wagyu ribeye was not evenly cooked & was over-spiced (very salty). My husband & I were celebrating a special occasion & would have appreciated NOT being sat beside the only other table (of 15 loud people) in the restaurant for our romantic evening.
Our server Jamal was busy with this large table & forgot about me & my husband. However, a couple that arrived After us was served their drinks & appetizers & were even their dinner before my husband & I were asked to place our order!! -so basically we were forgotten twice!!!not Very disappointing & took away from the entire experience of our special occasion.
Maybe this was just an off night for the wait staff? I'm sure these are nice people, just crappy timing.. Sadly, the next time we celebrate, we will not be returning to VooDoo.
This was dinner for my birthday celebration dinner. We had dined here previously and were disappointed but since we were staying at Rio, we thought we would give it another chance.
Glad that we did as both the food and service were excellent. The view from the 51st floor is stunning. Our only complaint was being seated right by terrace door, as it was cold and drafty every time people went in or out.
It would be nice if they added some type of buffer from the elements.
Service was terrible. We waited 2 hours for dinner with a medium filled restaurant. When the food finally showed up the crab was fishy and the steak for medium rare was like chewing on jerky. The matrady was very short when speaking with my wife and I, and dident really apologize for the food or the terrible service. It's too bad, my wife and I were very excited for a great experience. Settled for Philly cheese steaks in a bar. Booo.
Hands down the best dining experience I have ever had in many trips to Vegas. We went based on the reviews, especially the view. When your waiter tells you he has been there for 21 years that immediately told me something. I will say, the signature drink was a bit pricey, but very good and very shareable. Everything at our table was very good. No complaints at all and make sure you step outside for the views. If I was to comment negatively on one very small thing, I found it odd that our waiter had to search for salt and pepper shakers. To me those should always be on the table. Great meal, great service, great view. Bill for table of four including drinks and tip about $450.
Went there for Thanksgiving dinner, alone. I was treated very well, not stuffed into a corner, but sat at a 4-top by the window with a FANTASTIC view from the 50th floor of the Rio. They had a fixed Thanksgiving menu, but I opted for a couple of dishes based on recommendations from Open Table and Yelp. The Lobster Bisque is a MUST HAVE! I then had the 12 oz. Fillet Topped with Foie Gras ad whipped Potatoes. Delish! The wine list was great, there was a killer Red Blend that went as well with the soup as it did with the steak. (There pre-dinner martinis didn't suck either). Got out for under $200. I was never rushed, or ignored. Will definitely come back. Only one minor thing. I was surprised that the dress code was so "casual". Such a classy place and I was the only one with a jacket or a tie. Oh well. Recommended Highly!
Horrible. Waste of time and money. Food sucked, service was worse. It was so bad, the chef came to our table to apologize. As he was speaking, the sneaky busser took my wife's plate with a shrimp and some of her lobster still on it. It was never returned or replaced. Blood pressure spiked from the over salted steak. Speaking of the steak, I wasn't given a knife to cut it. Server was annoyed when asked for a knife. I was speechless when given a filthy, used knife. It had dries sauce and bits of food on it. He was annoyed again when I asked for a clean knife. The only good thing about this DUMP was the views from the roof.
Thanks for putting us right next to the noisy kitchen in your nearly empty restaurant. The view would be greatly enhanced if you would wash the windows. Timing of the meal was horrible. Ordered a glass of wine, waiter brings the entire bottle and then looks at me like I'm the idiot when I ask him what he is doing. Teach the chefs the difference between medium and medium rare. Manager essentially clueless, and really didn't care to receive any feedback. Overall...go to Ruth's Chris or Del Frisco's if you are going to drop a few hundred dollars for a dinner. Everything at either establishment is so much better.
A very good evening until a colleague (in an operator error) was charged 5 times the cost of her meal on her debit card. When we asked for the funds to be refunded the management said they could not and my colleague would have to contact her bank and chase up the error herself. This left her in deficit in her bank account and was detrimental to her weekend in Vegas.
The management offered her a glass of champagne as a scant compensation.
Very much enjoyed our dining experience at Voodoo. My love cannot get over how good his 20oz steak was- he was smiling the whole time, and since claims it’s the best he’s ever had. The Mac n Cheese was delicious, and we both want more of the very tasty pineapple mojitos! Very romantic with a breathtaking view and great service;
This was Absolutley the BEST resturant!! The meal was Fantastic and the service was Amazing!! Jeff our waiter was FANTASTIC!!! The view was Incrediable!!There was a group of 6 of us celebrating my daughters 31st Birthday and her Bachelorette party!! I will definitely be coming back and ordering the Witch Doctor drink again!!!
