Volterra is our regular Night Out restaurant. We've become somewhat regulars. The food is exceptional and we do highly recommend it.
Food was pretty average and I came in with high expectations. Cocktails, service and ambiance were great. Maybe just a bad night from the line??
My wife and I went there to celebrate the Valentine's Day. The initial impression was good. Even though this was a set menu, the choices looked attractive. However, as we went through the course we realized this place is really an imitation of a high end urban restaurant. The food preparation seemed rushed, lacking sophistication for the type of menu items they offer. While the soup was good, the rest was below our expectations. The desert was truly awful, which we made pretty clear to the server. She admitted that much but did not hesitate to add 20% tip on top of the entire menu, including a pretty expensive bottle of wine, cocktails etc. Needless to say we didn't feel very good about the choice of venue this evening.
We went for Valentines Day and it was a very nice restaurant, great food and service.
Introduced a couple to Volterra and they were very impressed, the food was delicious, the waiter quite knowledgeable about the menu and the service right-on. Nice to have a recommendation make such a favorable impression.
prix fixe menu was excellent, as was the service, server, food and ambiance. Loved everything about it.
Great restaurant in a great area of Kirkland. Wait staff were very nice and knowledgeable. Loved the atmosphere in terms of it not being too noisy and the tables were spread apart where I felt privacy in my dinner group.
Volterra is among the very best restaurants on Seattle's Eastside. We always have a fabulous meal and a great time there.
The service we had was excellent! Our dinners were all high quality and delicious. We will be back.
Have eaten here several times. This was our first mediocre experience. Main factor was the tasteless tenderloin.
Volterra in Kirkland is one of our favorite spots. Great for getting together with friends, or for a cozy date night. The food is always exceptional, and the service impeccable.
The food was delightful. The only issue I had was that the tables were a tad too close to each other and felt crammed in.
We enjoyed every minute of our time at Volterra! We started in the bar, where Russell entertained us with his mixology talent. The Blood Orange Citrus Drop was delicious! We moved to the dining room for dinner, where we were seated at a corner booth. By the end of the meal, our server, Fern, was part of our family! She recommended three pasta dishes. We decided to each order one of them and then share, and we were not disappointed! The Tagliatelle Bolognese, the Hog Jowl and Mushroom pasta, and the Chicken and Artichoke dish were all awesome! We shared a beautiful bottle of Amarone with our dinner, and ended the night with Irish coffees and a shared dish of peppermint gelato. We can't wait to go back!
Came here base don Yelp reviews for a family dinner. Made the res through OT. We were seated (5adults) near the front door to the left next to a party of 15, which made it very loud and hard to hear for us. Our waiter, Paul, was attentive and an excellent waiter. Allowed us to taste our wines generously before we ordered by the glass. Pasta was cooked to perfection. Definitely will return, but will ask to not be seated near the door and larger parties. Thank you!
I have. A handicap. The servers are most gracious. They see that my table is easy to
Get too. Went here New Years with a friend and it was special O yes the food is very good
Date night out! We have been here before but it had been awhile. We were seated right away and the staff were very nice. The service and food were good.
Nice atmosphere with great service . Food was very good. Would recommend for date night, meeting friends or any casual dining.
Our new favorite restaurant in Kirkland! Best soup, pasta & service!!!
Great menu selection and reasonably priced. I ordered crab ravioli - yum!!
I had read the reviews on and had it recommended to us. My husband enjoyed his meal My salad was supposed to have beets in it. There was probably 5 tiny pieces of beet. You had to look for them trust me. I had the veal chop. It had a lot of fat on it and absolutely tough. On the up side of things our server was just wonderful and staff were very attentive. The food and quality of the food served just isn't there.
It was very nice. Copper cups for their Moscow Mules would be nice.
Waiter was not attentive at all. Had to ask another waiter for dessert menu, came by one time and picked up an empty glass. Didn’t ask if we wanted another drink and took off before we could ask for another drink. Had to flag waiter down from across the restaurant to ask for bill.
Celebrating my wife's retirement we had dinner at Volterra before a show at Kirkland Performance Center. Hadn't been in a while and the food was still delicious. Service left a lot to be desired. We were seated at a banquette in the middle of other couples. All had different servers, ours could not get his act together. We were seated first and both people on either side of us got drinks, bread, appetizers long before we did. Food was great but service means we won't be back for a while.
Great small place with great unique meal options. The fixed price 3 course menu was a good deal. Nice special selection as well.
Roasted chicken still the best!
Very noisy; tables were set such that I heard neighbor's conversation more than my own.
Food is good, service is good, paying $3 for refills on soda isn't where you should be making your money.
Excellent food and drink. Wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Great location for a quiet dinner for two or a celebration with friends. Food is excellent as always!
Simply a treasure from beginning to end as we entered the restaraunt, ordered and ate. Wonderful experience.
Great service - Russell took great care of us. And the handmade pasta was the bomb!
