We are always celebrating life . The lamb shank was fabulous. And our waitress was awesome love you all
Food was ok not great. We were seated right next to kitchen even though plenty of space available. Menu was not accurate regarding choices. No one said happy birthday even that was noted on our booking. Parking situation sub par.
The food is delicious! We come from California and eat here every time we are in Kirkland.
Love this place!!
Lovely experience. We were quickly seated and welcomed warmly. Food was consistently yummy... oil soup (bean soup with oil drizzle sooo good) and polenta with mushroom app was too die for. Always recommend volterra! Another amazing evening dining in kirkland, yes you can have great italian in our neighborhood!
Always a consistently quality experience. Friendly staff. Great value.
Fabulous menu and waitstaff! Thank you!
Great dinner. Wonderful service. We will come back again.
Tonight was an off night with the desert. The waitress was not busy but for got us at the end .
Got the chocolate cake and twice the inside was cold it look warm . Too much gelatin it had a funny taste
Our dinner was fabulous as ever. I think we will skip the desert nest time .
Pasta super oily and buttery. Way too much truffle butter, not to mention portion was hige
We came to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. Our time was perfection from the moment we stepped to the moment we left. The hostess was kind and discreet about my pre dinner drink request. The staff was amazing—- I loved how all of the servers helped Each other out- we did not feel rushed and our tables were cleared constantly we never had to ask for anything. Dinner was amazing- 3-course meals app:polenta /mushroom , Caesar salad, lamb shank and the creamiest polenta, Wild Boar with fingerling potato’s and the most amazing gf chocolate cake. We enjoyed Sparkling wine and D2. Flavor was amazing, service impeccable , relaxed atmosphere. Will be back!
The tables where we were first seated were too close together. We asked to be moved into the bar area where we had a much quieter high top table for two. The service people were very accommodating about the situation. It was my wifes birthday and overall a very nice experience.
The food was excellent, although pricey. The service was good, but not as accommodating as I would expect at these prices....they have a taster menu with a bunch of selections and I had hoped to try one appetizer combined with a full price main course from elsewhere on the menu....nope, can't do that, so that was disappointing. The tables are also small (although adequate) and close together so you hear all your neighbor has to say.
Cocktail (Vodka soda was weak or no existence of alcohol); Pasta dishes were warm, not hot as they probably waited on the hot line for a Wild Boar meat dish.
The food is always wonderful and the staff friendly and helpful
A very pleasant dining experience; we went for our anniversary and we're glad we did. We're foodies so we have a very discerning palate; I found the crab ravioli a bit "fishy" as if the crab as a day or two old. My bride's melanzanie pouches were tasty, but the pasta was a bit thick for her taste and they were a tad overdone. Otherwise, a truly lovely evening with wonderful and friendly service.
Wonderful Christmas Eve dinner
As always, the food here is superb... flavorful short ribs was the choice for our party, and our young man had seafood fettucine. Atmosphere and accoutrements were also grand, down to the fine bread and olive oil. There was a minor service glitch, but they rectified it professionally and completely.
Service was fantastic and knowledgeable. Not overbearing. Food was excellent. Demi was a little salty
Always great food and great service no matter the occasion. Love the wine list , cocktails and fresh innovative dinner dishes!
We are enjoying Volterra so much . The chefs are fabulous and the service is outstanding.
Very good food. Extremely slow, inattentive service.
We had a lovely holiday dinner for our party of 8. Staff and management were gracious & accommodating. Food and wine were fantastic.
We love Volterra! The food and service is great! Some of the tables are a bit close to neighboring diners though. Overall a very good experience.
Great! Food was wonderful and service great!
Needs more decoration, a bit too blan!
Good food, good ambience, price is not bad, table layout could use improvement
Beautiful place, had a great evening!
Requested a table away from the service areas but it was obvious the request was ignored since the oinly table left was right in front of the service area and a table set for 5 was not offered and remained empty of customers all evening. We went there as the food is always good, but our guest who is hard of hearing had a very difficult time in conversation with those of us across the table from him. The head waitress who greeted us actually said they don't read the comments on the open table site and suggestedd that calling them direct might get us what we want.
Food is GREAT! Enjoyed the service of Andy. Will return fore sure!
Very good fixed dinner menus. Boar was tender seafood pasta very good.
Excellent food and excellent service. We will be back.
My husband and I went in for dinner and it was a delic
It was nice to get to try Volterra because of SRW. Food was good, but it would normally be too expensive for us.
Delicious as always with great drinks, great food, great service. Nice options for restaurant week with full sized portions.
We spotted this restaurant on open table for a Saturday night outing. The open table reservation worked great and we were greeted at the door, checked in our coats and taken to our table promptly. However the table was very small and squeezed in a corner and surrounding by a group of 6 very loud customers. The food is fine. The oil soup tasted good. The deserts did not taste as fresh made on the same day—may be one day old. Still ok but not great. We probably won’t go back again.
We tried Volterra on Friday on a recommendation from a friend and were so pleased! We liked the variety of menu offerings as some were so unique for an Italian restaurant. My personal favorite was the calamari appetizer. The calamari had a wonderful smoky flavor. You knocked it out of the park! I'll definitely be recommending Volterra to all!
Decided to try it for restaurant week. Great food and drinks. Wild boar entree was sensational. Polenta with mushrooms was creamy and very hearty. Tiramisu rounded out a perfect meal. With restaurant week prices this was a very good value for the money. Drinks are great and a wine list very extensive. Service was great and very friendly without being obtrusive. We’ll be back!
Wonderful service, wonderful meal. All in all, a great dining experience.
Disappointing visit- it was a cute place and service was fairly attentive, but the food didn't live up to the reviews and pricing. The mushroom soup flavor was excellent, but was ruined in texture and mouth feel by the large amount of oil partially emulsified within it.
The boar tenderloin was overcooked and hidden under a thick layer of gravy-like sauce.
The seafood fettuccine was so overly spiced I couldn't enjoy the flavor of it.
Dinner ended on a good note though- we enjoyed the chocolate cake and tiramisu, which was nicely moist.
