Delicious food and great service. Stellar handling of new proof of vaccination requirement for dining. Thank you for making me feel safer!
Everything is great except all five dishes are overly salty. Especially, the steak. The saltiness level was beyond bitter and choking. It’s 815pm seating and it’s getting late. We didn’t want to say anything to cause a scene. If not of the sodium, it would have been a 5/5 experience. Pls taste your food. We’d like to revisit and support local business. Thank you.
I showed up late due to Seattle traffic from the new climate free billion of dollars key arena and the restaurant were super friendly. The meals were equally exceptional.
Friday night crowd was loud.
We had a fantastic time, great food. It was odd though, they asked us to clear the table because they needed it. What? We were only there two hours at the time. They moved us to the bar, which was nice and we had our espresso there. They were very nice about it…. Just sayin.
I will still go back,
Worst thing is to find parking on a raining night. Everything looked up from there. ( there’s a garage in the back ). We have great and attentive service. Food is tasty. Good flavor.
Will go back again
The food was excellent. The service slightly slow paced.
Wonderful food, great service, the best Cinghiale al gorgonzola this side of Tuscany!
Lovely evening with my friend. Wine, lamb meatballs, bolognese, and pork truffle mushrooms. Amazing.
Mostly a great experience. Server was awesome. Lamb was amazing. Sausage pasta was really good and so was steak. The crab ravioli was really good with the exception of the pasta being undercooked.
Amazing experience! Caught up with friends we hadn’t seen in 30 years snd hostess was nice enough to extend our seating (limited due to COVID) so we could enjoy each other. Every app, salad, entree was beyond delicious. Something for everyone. Server was delightful as well
The atmosphere was "sophisticated casual" the service was exceptional and the food was delicious. I met some out-of-town friends here for dinner and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be back
My family and I have gone numerous times to this restaurant over the years - both for work and personal reasons. This is the first negative experience with the food. There was a piece of cardboard in my mushroom pasta entree. The cardboard was ~2” long and ~1/4” wide.
The kitchen explained the mushroom was brought into the restaurant in cardboard boxes and the cardboard in my fish was mistaken as a slice of mushroom. They offered to replace the dish but I declined since I’ve eaten a third of it and no longer had an appetite. As expected, they took the price for the entree off the bill and gave me a complimentary dessert.
This won’t deter me from coming again but will dampen my frequency of patronage and will definitely bring business clients to this place.
So disappointed- First off we were sat right in line with the kitchen and the table was a walk through for all the waiters. Our waitress was great- no problem with her at all…
The food however was a big let down…I’ve eaten here previously and it was from good to just decent but last nights was just bad.
The caprese salad had HUGE thick slices of tasteless heirloom tomatoes with watery dabs of vinegar-
My lamb shank was just a mess- the bone was Huge and fairly meatless- and what was there was fat sinewy bits and again flavor was almost nonexistent….just bad with Brussels dumped over the whole thing…
Even the darn chocolate cake was a mess and dissatisfying…
I don’t know what has happened but we won’t be returning- 200. For two with a single app, wine by the glass and one dessert is way too much for what a really poorly done meal.
Two stars are for the waitress not much else!
We celebrated a birthday the other night and everything was perfect. Great service and incredible food! This was a Wednesday night and the restaurant was full....says something about Volterra!
delicious appetizer polenta with mushrooms! shared entrees and they were all delicious. always consistently good experience
Eva was amazing! She remembered my sister who was just in from California- just so lovely. The kind of customer service everyone should aspire to! Thank you!!
Food tasted good, not great or outstanding. Surprised at seasonal market vegetables, they must really be trying to save money as vegetables was a lot of cooked bell peppers, green, red and yellow with 2 broccoli and 1 brussel sprout mixed in.
I expected more out of my experience there. The food was fine but not great.
The service was excellent and our waiter took a couple of minutes to converse with us about the food options and a little about himself. The red sauce with the calamari was delicious. The bartender is a master and I loved the margarita and the espresso martini was exceptional. Enjoy!
The food was absolutely awful, the pasta was cooked to a an absolute mush, the lighting was so bad you literally couldn't see the menu, admittedly a light was broken above our table and not working but the other major issue was the text size on the menu, I have 20/20 vision and could barley read it. They are clearly short staffed but so are many restaurants so I understand why service was chaotic and slow and our waiter did their best but overall the place clearly lacks ownership that actually cares. It was obvious on several levels, the place looked dirty, the food was mediocre at best and for the price, they need to up their game. Very disappointed, will never go back to this place.
Excellent Service and every dish ordered was delicious
the wild boar was delicious and Vic was a great waiter. will be going back more often to support a local restaurant that does it right.
We were celebrating a birthday. The wait staff was friendly, professional and efficient. The food was fantastic! We had a wonderful experience!
Are experience overall was very nice however when we actually sat down to a table I did not request I wanted a window table but then we got a different table it was nice but everything we asked for they didn't have it so when we got everything it went good but had to wait about 15 mins to even get are check.
We loved our waiter, service was amazing didn’t have to wait too long for our Meal. Great ambience. Decor is beautiful.Great attention to detail. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for upscale dining
Excellent food and service! The clams and sausage was a great starter and crab ravioli was amazing. Our server was polite and very knowledgeable about all the wines I asked about. Volterra is a tried and true dining experience.
Excellent food and service. Food was well prepared, and good portion size. Overall a very good experience.
Great crab cakes and service
I have eaten here so many times and each and every time it is a 5 star experience!
Incredible service and food! We were looking for a really nice Italian restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday and we were so pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent...loved everything that came out. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be back
Went early to have a dinner & hopefully get out early so went at 5 pm ! Only a few tables in bar & one in dining room were filled so expected fast service ! Wrong , almost 2 hours later . I won’t go back , also food was cold !
The food was good and so was the service. It’s a beautiful restaurant, however, we probably got the worst seat in the house. Although we had a reservation, we were seated behind a tall brown divider wall near the bathroom and kitchen. I almost felt a little claustrophobic. I would go back but make sure and request one of the tables near a window. They were open-I don’t know why we were seated at such a bad one.
Nice place but hostess was abrupt, service slow, food ok.
Service was great. Great menu and great food. Our table of 6 was near the front door so it lacked the ambiance.
The food is outstanding, and the service is both friendly and professional. Comfortable, attractive decor, tables not too close together. All staff wear masks over their nose and mouth. No chin-masks or ear danglers. Again - the chef does amazing things. He was able to modify some dishes to accommodate a non-gluten eater in our group. We'll be back!
Great meal and fantastic cocktails!
Masks are now required before you sit, thank you!
Taylor was helpful and fun to talk to about the menu options, attentive and prompt service by the whole team.
We chose Volterra for a Saturday date night out and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We'll definitely be going back.
Good food, great service. Server was very attentive and quick to het drinks and food
Great Service not good food
