Very nice evening at Volterra! The service was excellent and food outstanding... I didn't love the ambiance overall since the place is small, but the food is what we came for! We ordered both items off the special menu - pork ravioli and steak medallions, both excellent.

One of the better bets in Kirkland for a good meal with solid service. Dungeness crab ravioli are excellent. The polenta with mushroom appetizer is divine. Desserts are a little less inspired.

We had such a great Valentine’s evening here! They accommodated me by making all of my courses completely vegan, and they were absolutely delicious!

We went for Valentine's day dinner. Everything was excellent! It was a bit load, then again I have hearing aids. I added a 20% tip and was called within 10 minutes, given it was a special dining evening a 15% tip was included in the check. The 20% tip was returned to my credit card. Quite honest given I'd likely never have known.

We will definitely return and highly recommend Volterra!

Tried this place simply by website/menu for our Anvsry. BAD IDEA.
Seating is AWFUL! They put is in a row of tables placed inches from ea other, turned on their ends to cram more into the space. They seat one of you at each end- so you're TOO far away from each other! You can barely hear each other speak. The couple next to us was clearly lamenting the same thing, so he decided to rotate their table, which was way better. We did the same. W/in minutes a woman comes running over and says "You can not do that! It's a hazard!" Super rude about it, no apologies or pleasant request. The server came over, apologized & said everyone tries to do it, but it's not allowed due to fire code or something.
OK. If everyone is trying to do it, then why doesn't mngmt FIX IT so we can enjoy our meal?
We could literally hear everything the ppl to our right & left were saying. Although the guy next to us could not hear his wife - drove him crazy.
Ambiance is just not great.
Food was just OK. The best thing was the Caesar salad, which we all can get anywhere.
Dessert was good.

Service was marginal. Food was just ok. What I presume was the manager (short portly lady) was very rude and unimpressive. Will not be going back as a result.

Absolutely fantastic. I had the seafood parchment pasta (which I've never seen before), not only was it super cool, it was exceptionally tasty. My wife (it was her birthday) had the crispy chicken, also divine. The staff made us feel special for our special event, our glasses were never empty and the wine recommendation was second to none. 10/10

Food was ok not great. We were seated right next to kitchen even though plenty of space available. Menu was not accurate regarding choices. No one said happy birthday even that was noted on our booking. Parking situation sub par.

Lovely experience. We were quickly seated and welcomed warmly. Food was consistently yummy... oil soup (bean soup with oil drizzle sooo good) and polenta with mushroom app was too die for. Always recommend volterra! Another amazing evening dining in kirkland, yes you can have great italian in our neighborhood!

Tonight was an off night with the desert. The waitress was not busy but for got us at the end .
Got the chocolate cake and twice the inside was cold it look warm . Too much gelatin it had a funny taste
Our dinner was fabulous as ever. I think we will skip the desert nest time .

We came to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. Our time was perfection from the moment we stepped to the moment we left. The hostess was kind and discreet about my pre dinner drink request. The staff was amazing—- I loved how all of the servers helped Each other out- we did not feel rushed and our tables were cleared constantly we never had to ask for anything. Dinner was amazing- 3-course meals app:polenta /mushroom , Caesar salad, lamb shank and the creamiest polenta, Wild Boar with fingerling potato’s and the most amazing gf chocolate cake. We enjoyed Sparkling wine and D2. Flavor was amazing, service impeccable , relaxed atmosphere. Will be back!

The tables where we were first seated were too close together. We asked to be moved into the bar area where we had a much quieter high top table for two. The service people were very accommodating about the situation. It was my wifes birthday and overall a very nice experience.

The food was excellent, although pricey. The service was good, but not as accommodating as I would expect at these prices....they have a taster menu with a bunch of selections and I had hoped to try one appetizer combined with a full price main course from elsewhere on the menu....nope, can't do that, so that was disappointing. The tables are also small (although adequate) and close together so you hear all your neighbor has to say.

Good Italian restaurant. We tend to be picky about the oddest things... We love the bread, served with olive oil and their own seasoned salt, wonderful stuff! Nice menu, friendly staff.

Cocktail (Vodka soda was weak or no existence of alcohol); Pasta dishes were warm, not hot as they probably waited on the hot line for a Wild Boar meat dish.

A very pleasant dining experience; we went for our anniversary and we're glad we did. We're foodies so we have a very discerning palate; I found the crab ravioli a bit "fishy" as if the crab as a day or two old. My bride's melanzanie pouches were tasty, but the pasta was a bit thick for her taste and they were a tad overdone. Otherwise, a truly lovely evening with wonderful and friendly service.

As always, the food here is superb... flavorful short ribs was the choice for our party, and our young man had seafood fettucine. Atmosphere and accoutrements were also grand, down to the fine bread and olive oil. There was a minor service glitch, but they rectified it professionally and completely.

We love Volterra! The food and service is great! Some of the tables are a bit close to neighboring diners though. Overall a very good experience.
