VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. “The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques.” said Voltaggio. VOLT’s relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color pallet that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.

Private dining and meeting space is available in our Conservatory. The Conservatory seats between 6 - 12 persons. In the conservatory we offer audio | visual capabilities for presentations.
In addition to our Conservatory, we have the option of hosting your event in the Gallery. The Gallery showcases a collection of local artists work and can accommodate events up to 32 persons.

We offer complimentary parking starting at 5:00PM. Our lot is located adjacent to the front entrance to VOLT, off Market Street. Off street parking is also available in the Church Street Deck - located at 17 E. Church Street. Directions to entrance on Church Street:

VOLT is available for private parties and our dedicated dining team is on hand to assist in planning your event. Everything from menu selection to wine pairings can be custom designed for a memorable occasion.
We offer a number of settings for your private event.
The Conservatory is available for parties of up to 12 guests.
Audio/visual capabilities are available in the conservatory.
Chef's Dining Room can be reserved for parties of up to 20 guests.

For a wedding reception, social affair or corporate event, we offer the possibility of exclusive use of the restaurant. We can accommodate up to 70 guests for a seated dinner and 175 guests for a cocktail reception and provide the full attention of our entire staff.

This was a great meal. VOLT is on-par with some of the finer establishments in DC, NY, or Los Angeles. The food was spectacular, service was unsurpassed, and even the bathrooms were clean. The Bar is fabulous and had an excellent collection of beers and wines at decent prices.

Amazing!! First time there and drove over an hour. Well worth it! The service and cuisine are out of this world. They made you feel like you are the only ones there. We have dined in Niagara on the lake, Stratford Ontario and charleston,.sc numerous times at fine dining restaurants, but nothing ever like this! VOLT is a hidden gem and amazing find!! Can't wait to go back and.do thef 15 course tasting menu!! Thank you all for an amazing evening and amazing dining ecperience!!

Everything from the ambiance, decor, service, to the cuisine was amazing. The gentleman who took care of us, Stan, was amazing. He was extremely patient with my fiance, who has quite a bit of dietary restrictions, and we never felt rushed. Overall experience was five-star, but Stan made the entire evening over the top

We enjoyed a very delightful brunch on a Sunday. Service was excellent. There were varied and delicious food choices and a pleasant atmosphere. We were not rushed and could enjoy the meal and conversation. Volt is highly recommended and we will return.

I selected Volt for a Valentines get together and my fiancée and friends loved it. The food and drink pairings were excellent and very creative. I saw chef Voltagio on Top Chef many years ago and have wanted to eat at Volt since it opened. It was well worth the wait.

My wife and I have been to Volt's on several occasions. We like the location, food, service, and the chance to experience something different (Sweetbreads this time). The quality and service have been consistent over the years. We never find anything we dislike, but sometimes we find items we enjoy more than others. Worth the trip every time.

We would go again. High end food but we were surprised that it cost significantly less than a high end restaurant that we had gone to in Potomac a few weeks ago.

The food was creative and delicious ! The staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive. I took my brother to Volt for his birthday and it was memorable one due to the amazing food and staff. We will like to try brunch another time.

Exceptional in every way. Service was very good and friendly but Frederick is not New York, London or Paris so the service here is Friendly but less “Professional” than this sort of price would usually demand.

Went to Volt for brunch with a friend visiting from the west coast, and it really showed off the east coast food scene. Each course was creative without trying too hard, and we all loved our meals. The service is outstanding, too. You really feel welcome and appreciated as a guest. Highly recommend for special occasions.

What a great dining experience. I had been wanting to try VOLT for years and finally decided to make the trek from the VA burbs for my birthday. Boy, it did not disappoint. I would rank this as my #2 all time favorite meal and I’ve had to sit through a lot of bougie dinners for my work and also just because I like trying new food. The drinks were spot on. Every course had a purpose and you could taste more love with each bite. The best part? The peanut butter dessert made to taste like a PB&J sandwich when all mixed together. Everyone at my table was beyond impressed and can’t wait to come back for the summer menu. It’s pricey for sure, but it’s worth an every now and then splurge.

Amazing. It was out second visit to Volt. Both times were exceptional. The staff is wonderful and professional. They guide you through each menu item. Each dish is a work of art visually. The food is delicious too. My daughter has dietary restrictions anf the server and the chef altered several items to her needs. Wonderful!

We went to Sunday Brunch, there was a $35 menu, choose 3 options.
Every course was delicious, we added on the bacon and donut side dishes.
The Iced tea was the best we'd ever had, and the cappuccino was to die for.
We can't wait to go back and try the chef's tasting menu for dinner.

We had a great dinner experience at Volt. We sat at a table in kitchen and enjoyed the up close view of how the food was prepared. The atmosphere was just the right mix of upscale without being pretentious. The wine director, TJ, was an excellent resource and made perfect wine suggestions throughout the meal. Worth the drive from DC.

Overall, VOLT met my expectations for a fancy restaurant owned/inspired by a famous chef. It is a wonderful experience for those in the Frederick, MD area. The food was very good, although we noted it is very heavy on seafood. The plates were presented esquisitely and we were given enough food that we were full at the end of the evening. We had a good discussion with the "wine director" and ordered a very good bottle at the low end of their price range ($40) that complemented our food well. We sat in the main dining room, which while in a historic building, did not elicit the building's charm. The better place to sit (which you can request), I think would have been in the "kitchen room" where you can watch the open kitchen. They also had a very cozy bar area for cocktails. Our seat unforunately was right next to the wait staff's staging area, near the main dining room entrance, so it was often loud with lots of distractions. But the service was outstanding and you get many unexpected extras. Overall, I would recommend it for special occassions without young kids.

Good experience overall. We went there to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Our waiters were very nice and professional and the food was delicious. We shared the tasting menu. A few of the items on the tasting menu were average but others were amazing. We didn't do the wine pairing but opted to have a few cocktails, no disappointment there.

Love Volt and the tasting table - having the brunch is a very low cost way to enjoy the restaurant and spend a day in downtown Frederick. The breads are amazing and the options of 3 to 5 course prix fixe menus make the experience easy and fun.
