My husband and kids loved the sushi! They all said this will be our new go-to sushi restaurant. When I booked on open table it said there was a hibachi, so I was a bit disappointed but food was fantastic!
I had reservations for 6 PM, got seated promptly, then no one came to our table for over 45 min so we left.
The owner/manager approached our table, asked if we had been there before, and admonished us to "just call the restaurant directly to make a reservation next time and don't go through OpenTable because [she] had to pay $3 per person to OpenTable and usually people who use the app don't spend a lot of money so it's not worth it for [her]." Needless to say, we didn't even get our points.
Fantastic food and a very friendly and gracious wait staff. We will be back!!
First time eating here and we will definitely return.

The food was good but the seating arrangements were not ideal. We needed two hibachi's and instead if giving us the side by side, they stuck us in the corner with some folks in what seemed like a separate room. The waitress messed up orders and some who paid for steak got very little if any. Some ordered scallops that were next to forgotten. The automatic gratuity was not posted on receipts.
We went here after playing at Top Golf at 7pm on a Monday night. The parking lot had several cars in it, so we thought that was promising. After walking in we realized all of the cars we saw were the employees. We were literally the only two customers in the entire restaurant.
They put us in a dark corner in the back of the restaurant, which was weird since the entire restaurant was empty and there were other much better tables.
The food was good as was the service.
The waiter told us that they are really busy for lunch with all of the office buildings nearby.
While the food was good, the atmosphere was so lacking that we won't be back.
The food here is not only excellent but abundant! We had enough left for two more meals. The service was excellent. This will be a new regular for us.
Service was excellent. I had the Filet Mignon with Black Pepper on the waiter's recommendation. Lots of flavor with just the right amount of spice. I ate the whole thing!

The food was outstanding. Really enjoyed the meal. There was a loud party next to us so it was more of a party atmosphere than a nice dinner. The food was wonderful though.
From the outside - this restaurant would appear to be run down. Don't be fooled. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. My husband and I had some appetizer sushi and enjoyed the hibachi show. We enjoyed the food for three days as the portion was large. I would definitely recommend and return.
Our Hibachi chef had more tricks than anywhere else I've ever been. Had a great time bring my parents from out of town there for a a fun dinner.
We had been meaning to try Volcano for awhile, so when I saw it on the Restaurant Week list, we went ahead and made a reservation. I didn't notice the noise issue that others mentioned in their reviews, but it was honestly pretty quiet in the restaurant during our 8pm-ish dinner, on a Friday night. We went the first night of Restaurant Week. There was quite a snowstorm that had started up that afternoon, so it might have kept people away who had previously made reservations - I really don't know. But the restaurant was definitely not full. We had a great time though. We had to ask for the Restaurant Week menu - I got the feeling this was kind of new to them. But the $30 deal was pretty generous compared to the normal cost for the same dinner. It was cheaper for our kids to just order the 1-item dinner from the hibachi, but my husband and I enjoyed the 2-item combination dinner which included soup, salad, generous app, and dessert. All of the servers were super-friendly and our hibachi chef was very chatty (maybe even a little too chatty - at some point you just want to talk to your family). But it was a fun experience - you don't do hibachi grill dinners every night! I had the calamari and scallops, my husband had the calamari and filet, and one of the boys had salmon, the other a steak as well. The steak was absolutely fantastic - really great quality and cooked perfectly. Raves about the salmon and the scallops. I probably wouldn't order the calamari again - it was ok, but I think it's tough to cook on the hibachi and not get it rubbery. Everyone in my family likes steamed rice, but I got the fried rice, which was fun to watch it get made on the grill, and it tasted fantastic. All in all, a very good experience!
sushi was awesome!!! hibachi was a blast!!! we met friends here for a mini reunion get together and boy did we have fun!!! the saki choices are awesome as well!!! sushi was perfect and fresh!!!
Even for non-sushi eaters, Volcano is a great choice. Really good sushi not loaded with rice. I only wish they had a hibachi appetizer for those eating sushi as their meal. Very nice staff.
The manager called to confirm hibachi seating. The service and food was good. I didn't like garlic in my fried rice but everything else was good.
made a reservation for 7:45 via open table, called to confirm and they explained that for the hibachi side, you have to call and request a table rather than booking online like their website says. Was told we could get in at 7:45, but was not seated until 9:15. Upon being seated at the hibachi side, we noticed that it was so cold in the room all of our guests could actually see their breath. They only had 2 hibachi chefs for 5+ tables and the wait got out of control. Finally after waiting for more than 2 hours beyond our reservation for food, and having no chef show up at our table for 45 minutes (that was freezing cold) we decided to leave without eating dinner.
After i explained to him why we wanted to leave, he proceeded to charge us for drinks we ordered while sitting at the hibachi table that never arrived (yes, never arrived after 45 minutes!). It wasnt worth arguing about, i just paid the bill and left.
I will never return to this establishment. Between the 2 hour late reservation, their lack of customer service, and the gumption to charge me for food and drinks I never got to enjoy, it was all in all a horrific new years eve. Because they were so behind on our table, we missed our evening plans and ended up going home and ordering take out. Thanks Volcano for the horrendous service.
We really enjoyed the variety on the menu and the Saturday night live music! Everyone was very friendly accompanied by great service! We can't wait to go back!

I decided on Volcano as in my opinion the other popular Hibachi restaurants have taken a dive and I came across this one that has higher ratings so I thought we'd give it a shot. The venue seemed to be an old Applebee's so not real upscale and it did have a funny smell at first. However, the staff was so friendly, attentive and the food, well, let's just say we will never frequent the other Hibachi restaurants in town again. The food was great! And the portions are not as small as the others (I like leftovers). Not everything tasted like soy sauce- the ginger dressing and soup-delish! My filet was cooked to perfection. Our party of seven all had something different off the Hibachi menu and everyone was very pleased. We will be back!
food overpriced for the quality- staff kept apologizing for being so busy and not able to handle the customers-very chaotic and disorganized- entertainment jazz band was delightful and best part of experience.
I'm not sure if every Saturday night is so sparse, but my wife and I were two of maybe 15 people in the restaurant, which was much larger than apparently it needed to be. We also found the place uncomfortably quiet. With so few people in the restaurant, there should have been some ambient music playing or something to set the mood. Instead, the mood was uncomfortable. But the food was great, the hibachi show was well done and entertaining.
Our hibachi chef, Johnson, was amazing! So was our server meiling. However the manager was extremely rude. She harshly declined a substitution, which could have been handled with a much more service-oriented manner. She was unexpectedly rude and while I understand limited flexibility for substitutions, such questions can still be handled in a professional manner. I would recommend the restaurant, just don't have any special requests or questions.
The waiter was very patient and answered all of our questions about which items were gluten free. The food was great!

We found the floor to be very sticky around our table and the women's bathroom smelled terrible. It seemed clean but the smell was awful. Our hibachi chef was a great showman and very pleasant although very soft spoken and hard to hear at times.
We had a great Kid Friendly Hibachi birthday celebration. Our Habachi chef was very charming and made a delicious and fun meal.
The people that work there are great and have an awesome attitude. We were on a mini-honeymoon and the Hibachi Master was just great, made us laugh and the food was excellent. I would definitely return there again.

We are from NC and have had plenty of hibachi style dinners. These types of restaurants are on every corner where we live. This restaurant was quaint and had five hibachi grills. The cook was very funny and put on quite a show. Our reservation was for 7pm and we didn't actually get to the table until closer to 8pm. We were starving by then! The food trickles to your plate so by the time the meat came, which was last, we were full. Very good food!
While the local Sushi bars are overrun with people and packed this place is not overly crowded and the sushi was good.
Service was quick, reasonably priced and food overall pretty good. Happy hour prices are very good. Restaurant has been remodeled to fit the Asian theme however the bathrooms are very outdated and dirty which would be my only complaint.
The hibachi was awesome- I had the shrimp and scallops, my husband had the calamari steak and lobster tail. The hibachi comes with soup, salad, shrimp & noodle appetizer, rice, veggies, and your choice of meat(s)- it's a ton of food. We had so much that we brought it home and had it for dinner the bext night. The hibachi chef was a lot of fun too. Great ambience. Highly recommended.

We went here for Valentine's Day (wife and two kids). It was very busy so the service was a little slow, but friendly. We sat in the hibachi section and the cook was very young and was a little sloppy, but our food was all cooked properly and was tasty. We also had two sushi rolls which were both good especially the Super Spider Roll.
The menu has everything you can think of in oriental Eurasian cuisine. The live entertainment is excellent which you can catch on select evenings. Highly recommended for sushi and hibachi. Prices are very reasonable.
