Volario's at Vasquez Creek Inn
Really nice place in Winter Park. Worth a visit for sure. The Salted Caramel Gelato Pie was AMAZING!!!
Delicious food, great service, would def recommend.
Service was sporadic and then all of a sudden the server decided to try and take my plate from me before I was done...didn't even ask first. The server also appeared to either be really hung over or high....
The food however was great and the pasta not too heavy.
New Year’s Eve dinner.
Wouldn’t do it again. Poor service. Raw chicken. Crowded. I will cook for the remainder of our vacation meals. It’s just not worth the money.
Went on Christmas day evening. Arrived early for the reservation and they seated us as soon as possible. Excellent service Josh D.was great. Recommend an excellent wine. Explained a couple of the main entrees and was always checking if we needed anything.
The best gluten free pasta! Amazing. Great food in general.
Winter Park, CO, near the ski resort of the same name, used to lack really good restaurants. We feel that Valarios is the best of the excellent restaurants that have been established within the last few years. Really good Italian food, as well as steaks an d seafood. Quiet ambiance, great drinks, good, friendly service, fair prices.
Dinner for 5 was excellent. Service was good but they were a bit overwhelmed. It still was a great dinner with family.
Nothing great...felt like a dinner I could make at home but 4 times the price.
during happy hour, ONLY the happy hour menu food is available. was bummed we couldn't try the meatballs, which looked amazing online. our bartender Cecil was on point though very welcoming and awesome!
Great food and Cecil was a top-notch server/bartender
The restaurant is cold and not much ambiance. We decided to eat in the bar... warmer but very dark and dingy.
2/4 dishes were what was ordered. Waiter didn’t know what was in dish and needed to bring back to kitchen to “investigate”. Food over salted. Lasagna was the best dish of the group was the cheapest. Really, really disappointed and changed our opinion of Devils Thumb Ranch.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at Volarios. 2 of us had the turkey dinner and the other 2 had pasta. Everything was delicious. The wait staff went out of their way to accommodate my daughter's celiac needs. Atmosphere was perfect for a mountain holiday dinner. We will be back.
This is the second time that we had Thanksgiving dinner at Volario's and we were not disappointed. The servings were generous and the overall quality can be summed up in one word: delicious! Service is attentive and the special meal was reasonably priced. We always try to eat here whenever we are in the Winter Park area.
Enjoyed our meal. Cecil did an outstanding job, appreciated his menu suggestions.
Italy has so many moderatly priced wines that are wonderful. Maybe consider offering some $30-50 selections? Your wine seemed way to expensive for the setting and menu. Our waiter commented with the same suggestion.
Hands down, the best restaurant in Winter Park. Cafe Gio's in the morning has the best hot breakfast in the area as well.
Great Service by our server David S and very helpful in his suggestions. Very rustic ambiance and the outside seating in beautiful. Great wine list which a good variety. Looking forward to our next visit.
We like to go to Volario's when we are in Winter Park which is four or five times a year. We ate in the bar area on a Sunday night, next to the window which was lovely. Restaurant wasn't too busy and our waiter was outstanding. We enjoyed our pasta dishes (spaghetti with meatballs and spicy sausage). Excellent red sauce. The caesar salad was very flavorful but they used red leaf lettuce instead of romaine so it didn't hold up well to the other ingredients. Good wine selection. Will definitely go again.
Pizza crust was a little overdone. Everything else was really good.
Not great. We dined here last December and it was fantastic. Service and quality seemed to have gone downhill since then. Our server was lovely but the majority of the waitstaff was not attentive and didn't seem to know what was going on. It took nearly 15 mins to get our wine after we ordered it. The salad came out before the appetizer and one of our dishes, the gnocchi, was a mushy mess. The gnocchi wasn't fully cooked at all. It was also so loud that my mom could barely carry on a conversation with me throughout dinner. It was a disappointing meal and I don't think we will be back.
We had the lasagna. Very good but I wouldn't say outstanding. But the tomato bisque spicy soup was fabulous. The value would be my biggest concern. Granted we each had a $15 glass of wine but to pay $120 for two was definitely overpriced. I would have been happy paying $60.
Viva Italiano! I took my 90 years young mother there (Italian isn’t her fave), but it was in the way to her grand-daughter’s wedding, convenient and I had been there before and loved it. They seated us in the bar area as it was too cool to sit outside and the most quiet. The menu and wine list were extensive and the food delicious so she ate every bite. Then in walked the bridesmaids! They had a fantastic dinner as well. So glad there is another great place in Winter Park, CO.
Our waiter was not at all attentive . The kids said they thought that the sauce tasted like the canned Chefboyardee
Service was perfect. We split a salad a primo and a secondi. All times and delivered expertly. The wine was fabulous too. It had been over a year since we dined at Volarios, but this meal will bring us back.
So great, all around. The burrata is a must.
Lovely quiet bar seating. I came with my 2 boys (10 & 14) Cecil was an excellent server. The other servers were attentive and helpful. The food was fantastic. Melt in your mouth pork loin and excellent pasta dished. Overall a lovely dinner out with my children.
Didn’t get my salad before the entree.
We had a wonderful dining experience! We opted for inside instead of the patio, and it was wonderful. Quiet, with excellent service. The servers were young but clearly interested in the food and making sure we were enjoying ourselves, and the food was outstanding! Started with the caprese burrata, which was delicious and so fresh. For dinner, i had the hanger steak and my husband had the duck risotto special. Both were flavorful and cooked as requested.
Pasta not cooked adequately. Not a good sign for an Italian-style restaurant
We waited 45min to get our salads. We were with hungry kids, and we had to ask multiple times for help. They were completely not proactive, and barely apologetic. Never again.
Volarios continues to deliver the best food and service in Winter Park. The quality would easily compete with the best restaurants in Denver. House made pastas, killer appetizers and deserts done in a friendly, unpretentious setting.
Food was just ok but service was almost non-existent. The host seated us and then we waited a crazy long time before a waitress even acknowledged we were there. I was just about to give up and ask that maybe the hostess would re-seat us somewhere else. This was 6:00 pm on a Saturday evening and almost no one there. For what it cost us I would look elsewhere to spend my dining dollars.
We loved this place and the food was spectacular! Service was excellent.
Not much to rave about. Food was ok.
This was a "go to" for us for out town guests and we were disappointed to see a significant change in the management and reduction of the wine menu. The food was good, but for our table of 3 it took almost a hour for it to arrive even though less than 50 % of the dining room was full. The kitchen was staffed with two people and seemed over whelmed. What appeared to be the evening manager stopped at tables where no service issues appeared present and I witnessed one wait person apologies multiple times to a 10 top about the very delayed food readiness but the manager never stopped to equally address the problem. Hopefully this is just a one time bad blip.
We were seated on the patio on a gorgeous evening, which turned out to be the only saving grace for this dinner. Their patio is quaint and beautiful with the river running by. The staff was forgetful and aloof. It was painful trying to order anything and when we did, we weren't sure it was coming. Our appetizers took nearly an hour to arrive and we had to remind our waiter they hadn't come. They had to be reordered as they had been forgotten in the window. They were not busy at this time, so we weren't sure why he wasn't visiting our table. We racked up quite the hefty bill between appetizers, drinks, salads [$14 a piece?] and pasta and our waiter still wasn't eager to help us. One of us ordered the carbonara which was like breakfast on a plate [not in a good way] without the pancetta. We asked a manager about why there was no pancetta and she said " it's light on the pancetta." Meaning none at all?? Overall, the food was good for most of our table and we enjoyed ourselves, but it took 3 hours to eat our meal. Once again, Winter Park fails due to service.
