Established in 1997, Volare welcomes guests to enjoy upscale Italian cuisine in a classically styled Italian Restaurant. Located on East Grand Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, Volare offers guests the opportunity to take a step back in time and to enjoy a traditional Italian meal made with only the finest cuts of meat and fresh produce. I love this place! They have the best homemade pasta and vodka sauce. Sadly, they are closing,
so we will have to find something that might come close.

Our service was awful. We had to ask the host / other servers to send over our own server multiple times. Our food was incorrectly ordered (but delicious) and it took forever. Dinner for two, sat down at 7:00 PM and didn't receive our check until 9:15.

The downtown restaurant is one of my favorite places. The food was just as good at this location. You can definitely feel the passion the owner has for a great dining experience.

The kale salad with roasted chickpeas was a standout. We all felt that the sauces were too rich and tended to overwhelm the taste of the seafood. The Black Spaghetti was quite nice. Our server gave useful suggestions and knew the menu well so could answer some specific questions.

Unusual twist on a few Italian dishes that makes it fun, especially the Volare salad.

We have gone to this restaurant many times and it is always great for food, service an ambiance. We highly recommend Volare West to anyone in the Western suburbs who does not want to drive into the city to have great Italian food.

Had reservation at 7pm. Checked in and told there were no tables. Went to bar to wait, checked with host twice more in the 1 hour we waited in bar. After seeing two parties the same size as ours, who arrive at least 30 minutes after us, seated, we called a nearby restaurant, made a reservation, paid our bar tab and left Volare. Because we were not seated in a timely manner, we missed our Christmas eve church service. We are not strangers to Volare, and the food is delicious, but on such a busy evening, they should not have overbooked reservations.

My husband and I took our son there to celebrate his 25 Birthday on December 24th. We had made early reservations because we figured they would be busy. Upon arrival, there were several large parties and the place was hopping. We were seated in a separate room right next to the kitchen. My husband asked if there was anywhere else since we would be in line of the kitchen traffic. Another table was pointed out which wasn't any better. Realizing that there weren't any better places to sit because of the large parties, we stayed where we were. Service was fine until our server was placed with a party of 30. We knew that the service was going to suffer. Prior to the server waiting on the party of 30, we had questions regarding some of the food items. I had one more question and the server responded that we ask too many questions and he didn't return. Another server gave us our check. The food was very good, however, this isn't the place to go on a holiday. I felt regardless on how busy a restaurant is, service should be spot on especially when you are spending quite a bit of money. It will be some time before we return.
