Sprint lunch meeting/ birthday lunch
Our waiter was great.
The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed what they ate. I ordered the cowboy ribeye (pictured) which was cooked to perfection and tasted great. It was huge and should be shared! The waitstaff was a little quirky but not necessarily in a bad way. I wish our waiter had a bit more knowledge of the menu. However they were very attentive and everything came out great. I will definitely be back.
Our waiter Brandon was horrible. Did not refill drinks. Did not bring me bread like I asked him to. We never saw him only when he brought out dinner. Never got refills on water. Just not friendly at all. Usually, the service is great.
Excellent food and service. Large portions. My wife asked for veal piccata, which was not on the menu, and they happily obliged. My steak was excellent. Best meal we have had in a long time.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal tonight. We were well taken care of with our water consistently being filled and dirty dishes bussed off our table in a timely manner. I presented an email for a free appetizer but the appetizer was never brought to the table. The tortellini was delicious, the 9 layer chocolate cake was a perfect dessert to share and the vanilla gelato that accompanied the cake was amazing! Only thing that was so so was the house salad that was served before our dinners, the dressing was too acidic and I noticed that everyone at the table only ate a little bit of the salad. Will be back.
Menu is excellent !!! Spretzatura!!!!
Incredibly slow service. Seafood pasta was ridiculously salty. Waitress blamed the bar for not getting us wine refills until dinner was over. Expensive.
Atmosphere was great and menu has an incredible selection.
We were under-dressed as we were coming from a sporting event. Maybe that contributed to the service level.
Always a great meal and Andrea is a wonderful waitress!
I am so proud to have this restaurant so close to where I live. It is fantastic and gives our town some measure of class! The food is sumptuous and fresh (some items come from the chef's private garden) and the ambiance is friendly and warm. Andrea is an excellent server - so professional, and she knows details of the offerings intimately.
Volare means, "to fly." Our dinner was the kick off preparation for both of us to fly to higher heights. Thank you Volare for a wonderful evening!
The server Gino is the Man. Food was impeccable as always
Volare is our fav! I highly recommend it for either casual, business or fancy night out.
Excellent food but a bit pricy. Service was not up to par with prices paid-Had to ask about specials, not very knowledgeable on wines, never asked if wanted pepper on salads or cheese on entrees. Not sure if waiter was new but sure seemed very inexperienced or untrained
Very nice. Great wait staff. Quite time with siblings. Very enjoyable. Thank you
Never had tried since new location. Really enjoyed it. Diverse menu and very attentive service. We will be back.
Waiter lacked knowledge of the menu, manager was unattainable, menu was over priced and wine list was deceptive- listed wines and vintages were not available, and substituted wines/vintages were not comparable. Waiter remarked that “Ink and paper for the menus are expensive and that’s why the wine list was not current or accurate”
Love Volare! Been coming here for years now. Best restaurant in the area. Great service, incredible good, nice ambiance, and a chef owner who is very personable. I highly recommend!
Excellent food. Takes a really really long time to get drinks and food on a Saturday night. Thank God we were not in a hurry.
Food was delicious. The beef excellent. Attentive wait staff - especially our waitress. Would go back and highly recommend the restaurant.
Kitchen was very slow. 2 of our meals had to be sent back
We visited on Valentine's Day, the busiest day of the year. That being said, we had made a reservation and the hostess didn't even acknowledge it and tried to give us the worst table in the place. I had been warned not to be seated in the outdoor section in February with the noisy space heaters ... That was right where she headed even though my reservation requested an indoor booth.
Being very put out, we were seated in the main dining area, where my husband's chair was continuously bumped into by patrons and waitstaff.
The steak was good but it wasn't enough to make up for the lackluster salad, boring sides (brochllini and fingerlings) on EVERY plate, and the shrimp that were horrible.
This used to be a first rate operation when they were across the street in Wixom, but this is definately a remember to wear a shirt and shoes kind of place. Volare is NO longer fine dining but there prices are!
This place was great. The food was awesome and our waitress was great.
We were in the patio area that is enclosed. It was slightly noisy because of the heaters. The heaters also had the temperature very uncomfortable at times. Otherwise a great experience.
Bourbon selection could be better.
First time going here and it was great! The steaks are amazing. My bf loved his birthday dinner
Bone-in filet was outstanding.
One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. And the chocolate gelato with salt is a great finisher
Great food! Service is usually good. A bit pricy but usually worth it. Kids love the pasta!
Volare lacked ambiance but the service was awesome. We had the sausage and peppers appetizer which was awesome, however our entrees were average. The entree felt like it was missing a pasta side dish. I had the chicken piccata which had a wonderful sauce with capers and artichokes but was over-cooked and quite tough. My husbad love the chicken parmigian.
Gino made our evening complete with his excellent service. Food was wonderful as were our companions. Great place to dine well and break bread with friends
The food was superb. My only slight complaint is it seemed to take longer than usual to bring the food out.
Normally a great restaurant. On this particular visit, Volare was off its game. We were placed in the sidewalk dining area (01/20/18) which was enclosed and had heaters. We were placed directly under one of the heaters, which felt like a broiler. Our waitress explained there was limited control of the heater. Since we we away from the main dining room, service seemed unusually slow - out of sight is out of mind. Our waitress, whom we had before and was excellent that visit, was having an off night - apologized constantly - explained a shortage of Cooks in the kitchen - forgot the normal table set-ups (water, bread, drink refills, etc). The food was the saving grace. Yet, the Fileto ordered as medium, ran from medium well to medium to medium rare. Still, it was tender and delicious.
We went out for a late dinner after arriving back in town from a trip. It had been a few years since we were at this restaurant. We always had a good experience but it's a half hour from the house. We made a reservations on OT, got there and were seated right away. Our server, Klotilda (I thought it was Claudia and kept calling her that) got us drinks in a jiffy. I asked her how the pour was and she said pretty good but I ordered a double bourbon anyway. It came out in a tall glass - it looked like a glass of soda. We ordered appetizers which were outstanding and by the time they were done, the salads came and then the entree. Perfect timing on everything. All the food was delicious - my son had the 18 oz ribeye; it was like 2" thick. I realized I had underestimated how good this restaurant is and will start going more regularly. We were too full to eat dessert.
Great food amazing service only downfall the patio heaters were on full blast and it was VERY hot
Great food. Disappointed in the limited New Years menu and unwillingness to make a subsution. This was our third news years there and first year slightly disappointed.
Still will be back.
The food was good but overpriced. Do not sit on the porch in the cold season. The overhead heaters burned our necks and ears. They finally turned them off after two requests only to turn them back on 5 minutes later. Our whole meal felt rushed by the server and busboy. Left with a splitting headache. Ruined our new years eve!
This is one of our go-to places for birthdays, get-togethers with friends and date nights.
We have been to Volare in the past for New Year's Eve but we will not be returning next year. When the restaurant called to confirm our reservation, I was told there was going to be a limited menu. Not only was the menu extremely limited but many prices were dramatically increased. My father-in-law loves fish and the only fish on the menu was Chilean Bass for $56, therefore he did not order it because of the inflated price. There was no children's menu but they did accommodate us.
We love their pizzas but unfortunately that were none on the menu. The menu had a very limited number of salads. My husband's favorite is the NYC (chopped salad) but that was not on the menu.
I specifically booked an early reservation so that we would not be with the crowds and be rushed. Unfortunately, wait people were asking us if they could remove our dishes before we were done. One after another.
I understand that restaurants often have limited menus on New Years' Eve but Volare's was too limited. It is important for restaurants to retain the loyalty of regular customers such as us whether or not it is a holiday. Volare failed at this.
Wonderful meal once again! My husband had the linguine which comes with all kinds of seafood and even I was impressed (I don't eat seafood). My gnocci was flavorful and tender and fresh.
We always have a great time at Voltaire. Joe is a fantastic chef who spends time out on the floor interacting with the guests. The service is excellent and you will not walk away hungry.
The Halibut was good. The braised beef/veal Ravioli however was swimming in its sauce which could have been reduced by 70%. The wine selection was very disappointing. The bottle recommended, after a lengthy menu search, was over ripe and on the edge. We should have sent it back but chose to finish our dinners and leave. We will not be returning.
Great job as always...never disappointed. Keep up the good work Dino and staff!!
