Melissa was excellent!! Quiet place that is great for slowing down and enjoying a beautiful evening in scottsdale!
Our first visit, definitely won’t be our last. We LOVED it!
This is authentic French food in a comfortable atmosphere. We had three entrees and tried each other's . They were all good. I wish it were closer to my home.
Great food, lovely evening with great friends
The atmosphere is wonderful, good, knowledgeable waiter and delicious food. The owner is very charming.
Highly recommend for any dinner or special occasion!
Small venue dining, fabulous food and delightful service. What a treat!
Love this restaurant and the owners. The food is authentic French as are the owners and so welcoming, and the food is delicious!
Started with moules marinieres, sweet, succulent and escargots, meaty and garlicky. My wife enjoyed the Noix de St. Jacques, scallops in puff pastry and beurre blanc sauce. For me, le canard, leg of duck confit a l'orange. The Sancerre, at $58, was terrific. The bread, served with aioli, was crusty, and disappeared quickly. No problem, we were brought more. Decadent profiteroles for desert. Everything here is reminiscent of France, and comes highly recommended.
Outstanding French food in the Valley. Quiet, intimate French bistro setting with attentive, warm service. My husband said it was one of the best meals he has eaten in years. We’ll definitely be back.
Wonderful food and service! Definitely will go again!
Exceptional service with lovely food in an attractive bistro environment. We were greeted immediately upon arrival, and seated outdoors in this terrific bistro. The menu and wine list are extensive, comprising a wide array of French wines and dishes.
Our table shared three appetizers, entrées, and then three separate desserts. Each was flawlessly presented, flawlessly prepared, and delicious. You cannot go wrong here.
A lovely evening & a delicious meal. The REAL deal!
Fantastic. Wonderful 4th anniversary special. Very good matching of wine with food. Specially liked the lobster sauce and the Bordeaux
This husband and wife team create fabulous food in a personal environment. It is a lovely place to have a nice dinner.
The food was outstanding!!!
Thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying dining experience. Must return.
We dined with friends we met years ago in Lyon, France. We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere and will definitely return.
Every time we go to Voila is a special occasion!
Great little piece of France in a quiet Scottsdale neighborhood.
An exceptionally fine restaurant serving authentic French cuisine - none better in the Valley. Unpretentious atmosphere, friendly engaging staff and food par excellence make for a remarkable evening quite up to special occasions. Do leave room for the Grand Marnier souffle.
Best kept secret in Scottsdale. Takes us back to Provence
Charming restaurant and always wonderful food. Only disappointment is that they did not have their fabulous mussels the evening we were there.
Ooh, lala ! Magnifique! Mid-week Lunch with friends on the patio. While service was impeccable, wine delightfully chilled, we were in no rush to leave. We lingered and talked in this most pleasant place. Hope to head back for four-year anniversary celebration.
Wonderful experience because my husband speaks fluid French and so did the waitress. It was especially fun for him as it was his birthday to be able to speak French. The food was delicious, hot on arrival and seasoned perfectly for our tastes. We enjoyed two different quiche flavors with a lovely mixed green salad.
I also had escargot and my husband had a glass of wine, all was wonderful. It was topped by our favorite
Dessert Profiterole, an ice cream puff with chocolate sauce, yummy! Would go back again and invite friends to join us.
World class authentic French cuisine in a perfect bistro environment .... a must try ....
They needed more help in-serving. For being one server she did the best she could. Food was good there are no substiutions . Not a good thing .Food was ok.
The servant was flighty but overall food was outstanding.
The food was very good, and of good quality, however there was only one waitress for 6/7 tables. She was nice and polite, but not the professional I’ve experienced in most up-scale eateries. Dinner for two with wine was right at $200 , and the service was my only disappointment .
Extraordinary dining experience...French Cuisine by the French Chef! I enjoyed the evening special..a duck entre. And my partner had the skate ...he raved about it. Wine List is rxtensive..with some wonderful wines by the glass. This is an intimare, authentic restaurant nestled in our neighborhood but patronized by people from all over the Valley...definitely a destination. Highly highly recommend.
Had a great time. We'll be back. Next time I'm trying the mussels in garlic/butter. The champagne was a nice final touch! Thanks- Dave & Jo
I am never disappointed with the excellent cuisine at Viola. I can depend on them to serve a perfectly delicious dinner always presented with an elegance and flair. It is a gem in our community!!!
We dine at Voila often and find it to be authentic and delicious! This is a small neighborhood GEM! We'll be back again soon!!!
Hits and misses at this small French Bistro. Cheese plate not very adventurous and definitely missing a sweet element like fig jam to complement the three cheeses. Salade Lardon comes with spring mix instead of the usual frisee. Soft boiled egg slightly overdone...lardon was just bacon. The Salmon en croute was odd looking but delicious. My skate was delicious but overly sauced. The beautiful chocolate raspberry souffle was slightly underdone...but we ate it anyway because it was delicious. For the uninitiated I'm sure the experience is different...just not quite up to my standards.
The “new” ownership (4 years) has transformed a lousy French restaurant into quite a good one. The cuisine is inventive, delicious, and authentic. We tried the steak tartare, escargot, and a few other traditional dishes, and all were prepared extremely well: not overly garlic-ed or sauced, but with a knowing hand. So, welcome back a terrific reincarnation of a Paris bistro; we needed it.
Food is fantastic!!!
The service and ambiance was delightful. I was very happy with my meal choice. Excellent presentation.
I am always so impressed with the entire ambiance, service and fabulous dinners at Viola. It is a pleasure to take guests from out of town there to enjoy a very special dining experience. The boeuf bourguignon was truly excellent!! As delicious and as well prepared as anything I had in France!! Viola is a sure bet if you want to always enjoy a perfect evening.
We came for our wedding anniversary dinner and Voila did not disappoint! The menu listed classic French cuisine. The food was out of this world! I'd forgotten how complex and subtle French food is when prepared correctly. The service was a little slow but very polite and gracious. The wine selection was a little limited compared with other restaurants but the choices we made were perfect with our meals. The ambience left something to be desired: the restaurant was too small for the number of diners and we had to wait for a party at another table to be seated before we could sit at our table even though each party was being seated simultaneously. The temperature in the room got too hot toward the end of the meal and that was the main reason we did not stay for dessert though the dessert listings were very tempting. All in all, it was a very good experience. We look forward to returning there when the weather's cooler so that we can sit outside and have a bit more room.
Excellent small bistro that appears to have more tables outside than inside. As we were there during the heat of summer we stayed inside. Very good food. We had the chicken pot pie and the duck leg with orange sauce, and then had an delicious dessert soufflé. Entree prices were quite reasonable. We will return.
