Vogue Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Went for a random date night with my husband. The atmosphere was perfect and just breath taking. Candlelit tables, white lights outside just so pretty and romantic. The food was perfect. Waitress was so sweet and we never had an empty water cup. Not even half way! Loved it.
Not recommended. Tables are way too close together—like what you’d find in a BIG city downtown. It’s also has a high noise level. So conversation was difficult.
Food was mostly OK. But the creme broule dessert was cool rather than very warm like it’s normally served.
The onion soup was really great but my entree was meatloaf and augratin potatoes. Neither had much flavor. I've had this dish many times here and it has always been my favorite. I don't know what happened but my fellow dinners had the same dish and it was not very good. My past experience has always been good here so I'll try something new next time.
We dine at Vogue a couple of times a month and have never had a bad meal. Service is always exceptional and food is delicious. I have to say the Vogue Burger is my favorite meal and have never had a better burger anywhere. My wife loves sea bass and I also am just a little fond of the scallops (LOL)!!!
First visit...a little hard to find. Outside seating was unexpected, but fine. Nice heaters, but not too hot. Waiter (Jason) was pleasant and well informed about selections. Will probably return to try some other menu items. The creme brulee was good, but didn't think it lived up to the menu description.
An excellent dining experience. Though the noise level was a bit higher then I liked, it was acceptable. Dining outside, when the weather cooperates is a great way to go. Kudo's to the wait staff, as the service was awesome. One of the better meals we have had in a long time. This is a quaint bistro that we will certainly visit again
I like Vogue Bistro and my husband and I have been there several times for special occasions.
We invited some friend to celebrate their birthdays and they knew the restaurant och menu very well. We ordered duck for main course and was disappointed when they only offered breasts--not legs as it was described in the menu. The dish tasted good but not the flavor I had experienced the previous month. But the main reason I did not enjoy the evening was the SERVICE, which felt very RUSHED. This was a Tuesday evening. The previous visit was a Friday evening and I felt a little disappointed in the service at that time too, but I thought it was due to a busy Friday evening. I felt that the waiter did not have time to listen or took the time to answer questions about the menu and the wine list.
This restaurant's kitchen has struggled since it has changed owners. I have not visited for some time as it was disappointing last time. I thought I should give it a try again but I found not much has changed in the kitchen except they are quicker now.
The menu has changed somewhat removing some nice dishes my wife and I enjoyed. Many of the items remaining have suffered from execution. The 'crispy duck' is crispy but dry and tough and the 'coq au vin' was too overcooked and dry. It is hard to find a restaurant that doesn't overcook their chicken and fish. A pity for a restaurant in this price range.
On the bright side, the scallops dish was good and seasoned nicely. I would have this again. Their 'lasagna' is a little different and always good. I can't remark on their 'special' each week which I have only tried once in all my times there. Their staff is excellent, friendly and attentive at just the right level.
Truly marvelous restaurant on the Westside of town. Food and service was spot on. We had the pleasure of Laura`s service for the two of us. Thursday was uncharacteristically busy and there were just one other server besides Laura. Despite that, service was impeccable. We split the Sea Bass which was cooked to perfection. Cocktails mixed perfectly. Great evening all told.
Vogue Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants but tonight, I was very disappointed. My filet was very salty and we ordered the lobster tail special, but it tasted fishy and we had to request drawn butter which we were told would take a few minutes. Two others in our group ordered steaks that were served with French fries!! An expensive steak deserves more than French fries! We all ordered desserts which were all very good but the waiter said the coffee was brewing and would be ready soon. Unfortunately, the coffee we were served wasn’t even warm! We had to request hot coffee. Not sure we will be returning after paying $138 for our disappointing meals!
Vogue Bistro is our "go to" date night spot. A glass of wine followed by a table on the outside patio by the fireplace. As always we had a great meal. Jason, our server, was attentive and helpful. Started with raw oysters followed by salad and the lamb shank special. All were great.
Excellent service and a nice quiet patio, that's the good part.
We have eaten at Vogue many times before, that is, before new management took over.
Unfortunately this experience was less than stellar.
The special of the night was Dover sole. This delicate fish was fresh but dry and overcooked. It was actually burned on the bottom. The "chef" must have had too many things going. It must have been left sitting on the grill to keep warm. The shrimp/scallop stuffing was tasteless It will be a long time before we return.
Great food at a reasonable price. The Tuna Tower appetizer is a delicious meal in itself. I had the steak au poivre, cooked exactly as i ordered it. My wife had Duck 2 Ways and loved both of them. The Creme Brulee impressed me, and I consider myself a Creme Brulee connoisseur!
We ate on the patio and it was quiet and delightful Can't speak for the noise level inside.
Service from the kitchen was very slow. We kept being told our food was on it's way and then we where told someone's dinner was burned and they had to hold the rest. Not offered anything and waited for our dinner 1:45. Food was average, server did not communicate until we pushed the issue.
We went for a quick family meal while my son was visiting from out of town. We've had food here before but had previously got it to go. When we arrived the restaurant was empty and we were seated immediately. We took sometime to order because the menu has such great items. After ordering, we then waited approximately an hour for our meals. During this time our waiter never came to our table. Our water glasses were filled 6-8 times but no one came to ask if we needed anything else; appetizer, drink etc or to explain why the hold up on our food. A few more parties started to trickle in to the restaurant so it wasn't due to it being busy. The waiter did manage to stop at the other few tables and chat with the guests while noticeably passing ours without a word.
Once our food did arrive, for the most part it was delicious. We had burgers, salmon, and filet, with varying sides. The steak and burgers were overdone (well done v medium rare) but still quite tasty. The risotto was, as usual, delicious. And the salmon perfect. Desert was sublime- The Cake and creme brûlée.
I can only assume they must have been a little off for their start of dinner service on this day.
We will go back another time and see if the service is as slow and neglectful again before giving up on a restaurant that has such great food!
We were looking for something different in the area . We really were surprised . The atmosphere was casual yet upscale. A great variety of food on the menu and the presentation was very nice. The price was very reasonable also. We will definitely add this restaurant to our list of favorites .
