Very. Good food
My favorite restaurant for a special dinner, a casual lunch, or just sitting at the bar during their terrific Happy Hour. Food always first rate, and the staff goes out of their way to be welcoming. Why there aren't more independent, non-chain restaurants like this in Surprise is beyond me.
Can't help but be a little disappointed considering previous visits. Upon arrival we were shown to an outdoor table, as requested, but one where the sun shade was blowing inwards so strongly that it keep hitting me in the back o the head. We asked to be moved to another table. One was open where the breeze wouldn't have been a problem. The hostess agreed to look into it but ten minutes later seated another party at was a vacant table. She never returned to offer an explanation. Fortunately, the shade was cranked up so that it no longer was a problem. However, it was still a bit too breezy but at this point there weren't any other options.
As so the service: It was beyond slow. We were seated for over 30 minutes before a drink order was even requested and that took another 20 minutes to deliver. When the waiter finally took the drink order he began to depart without even asking if we interested in ordering appetizers, which we were. I stopped him from leaving and said we'd like to place an appetizer order. We waited another 30 minutes to get the appetizers.
On a positive note, the food was excellent but our guests commented on how the oyster presentation was more like one you would expect at Crab Shack than at the Vogue Bistro. One disappointing meal doesn't mean we won't return but it probably won't be in the near future.
My daughter was visiting from Chicago. We were celebrating being together. Everything was excellent. The food delicious, the service wonderful and the drinks perfect.
We sat outside in the afternoon. Our waitress was so friendly & considerate— she opened the blinds so we could feel the misters. Was very attentive but not overly. We all got a different entree & everyone was delighted with their choice. The entrees were amazing & not your usual fare. We will definitely return!
My very favorite place to sit outside with a martini. I especially love their drinks and appetizers.
Very nice experience .service a little slow , but provided us everything we needed. Tables and chairs a little wobbly .
This outing to Vogue was the first time we have dined in an upscale restaurant since covid. I realize restaurants are still working through the restrictions they must follow however, I would hope they would be customer service oriented than what we experienced. Service was slow. Table was without a tablecloth which was on all of the other tables. The restaurant was busy but not enough to wait over 10 min for our wine to arrive, over 10 or more minutes for someone to come and remove our first course plates. Our wait person was not very attentive.
Food was under seasoned and underwhelming. The best dish we had was the decedent chocolate cake for dessert. It was my birthday after all.
First time back after two years. Food delicious, service excellent, table comfortable. Reservation procedure simple through Open Table, I left some specific instructions which were followed. Overall a wonderful experience. Will be back soon.
Food was bland--including the bright yellow dip, steak was tough, salmon was fishy and over cooked, duckling tasted like it just popped out of the costco wrapper and microwaved--need I go on...
Perfect as always.
Service was VERY slow. And our waiter had trouble getting the order right. We ordered fresh baked bread, and it didn’t show up until we were about to leave. We noticed several guests had to ask for napkins after they received their appetizers. So they get the napkins and the silverware follows some time later. Food was good though. Won’t be back
The portion on charcuterie board needs stuff added. Its so minimal and I was disappointed.. needs more fruits nuts..more meats!
we had asked for outside dining and even brought our reservation showing that. However they said they had overbook and we were seated inside--at the worst table--in the bar next to the kitchen with a view of a wall. Very disappointing. The food and service were very good as usual.
I like Vogue’s menu. My entree of crab cakes was over cooked. And cold. The flat bread was great!
Nice little restaurant. First time there, only for lunch. Sat out on the patio. Next to the parking lot, but it was pleasant. Weather was great. Salad was good, burger was good but could have used some sauce or katsup. A little dry. Service fine, but it wasn't too busy at noon. Will go back to try dinner some night.
Unfortunately we were let down. Food was average to good. However, service was really lackluster. Initially we thought it was because they were so busy, but as our evening progressed it was just lack of attention. We had to ask for practically everything from utensils, to order our entrees, to the bread promised to be delivered before our meal. We sat for many minutes after finishing our appetizer to order entrees. Our waiter never once stopped by to see how we were doing between food deliveries. Never offered to poor wine after the initial glass fill. The only thing that arrived on a timely basis was the check after desert/coffee. Unfortunately we will not be back.
Had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time. Arrived fifteen minutes early. No bar access while waiting. Once seated ( In worn out chairs), waited another 15 minutes for drinks. Appetizers came and no silverware available because still in the dishwasher. Food was excellent.
The food was outstanding but the service was seriously lacking. We saw our waiter very few times and had to ask for everything. Would go back but only if I had another waiter.
Loved it! It’s like stepping outside of Surprise and stepping into Fancy! The drinks, service, service is always always amazing.
As usual enjoyed our evening The Vogue - cocktails are amazing and the ahi tuna tower was special! We all enjoyed our meal and our waiter did a great job taking care of us! If you haven't been here before its a MUST!
Always a great time, best food and drinks around by far!
Overall great experience, food was delish ,other than , one of our steaks was a bit overcooked. But all other 6 plates were fantastic!!
Food was very good and the service excellent, but the misters didn’t need to be in outside. Made it a tad uncomfortable.
Dinner was great! We had the tuna tower for starters. Yum! Followed by steak vogue. Perfectly cooked medium rare with fries. Good wine, priced fairly. Happy hour ends at 6, so we made 530 reservations and took advantage of their drink prices.
Everything was fabulous as usual. Sat at the bar with friends for way too long, but good friends and good food/wine/service is to blame. We never want to leave Vogue. Everything was spectacular!
Family in town. Dana is worth the visit alone. She’s amazing.
New favorite place to take out of town guests! Will definitely be back.
Service was not as good as in past.. he seemed preoccupied with outside tables. Tipped because we are frequent.. not because deserved..
My wife and I were celebrating the listing of our house and the experience was extraordinary. Nice little place to get a delicious meal. We did the dinner for two Tuesday special and it definitely met expectations and nice for the price we spent. Highly recommend.
It was so great to be able to dine at Vogue Bistro again. We are seasonal visitors to this area and absolutely love this restaurant! You will not be disappointed.
Vogue Bistro is our special dinner go-to restaurant. We love it. The food selection, preparation and presentation are excellent. The service is personable, attentive and professional. The bartender is an expert mixologist and doesn't skimp on the alcohol. The wine list is varied and top-notch.
Waiter forgot brussel sprouts we ordered. Lettice wedge wasn't what I expected.
Nice seating outside, also having happy hour till 5pm.I like bringing a friend there.
Staff concerned about having screens pulled when sun comes in your eyes. I like location of restaurant.
Do hope next time order will be complete as ordered.
We used to come here once or twice a week Pre- Covid and have come only two times since they opened back up to dining in, and both times were horrible. Food was horrible, over cooked both times, service was horrible, we sat for 10 minutes before we were asked for drinks or water and then another 10 minutes to get the drinks and another 10-15 minutes until we were asked for our food order. Long story short, food came out over cooked and burger was hard and bun was hard and crumbled. The shrimp cocktail was over cooked and my quiche was full of water and under cooked and was not something that anyone would want to eat. The meatloaf was hard and dry. We will not be back.
Good food, but loud and service spotty.
Overall, though, we will return!
It is one of our favorite restaurants. Service and food is very good. I was surprised to find out that when we ordered cocktails they automatically make it a double and charged $1.50 each for ice. I asked why and was told that their policy is to pour a double even though I did not order it. I don’t like that and in the future will clarify what I order.
Have been to Vogue Bistro a few times before, but this past Wednesday, dinner left us not happy. My 2 guests had requested well-done burgers. Both were not well-done; one was sent back to prepare better; the second started out good, but then turned to medium. My medium burger turned to medium-rare the more I ate.
Amazing food and service!
I had not been to Vogue for quite some while, and was delighted that the meal was as delicious as I remembered meals being there. I definitely will return!
