Neighborhood gem, terrific happy hour, versatile menu with great tasting food.
We have been to Vogue several times before and loved it each time. This time we went for my son’s birthday, our meal was amazing and the service was spectacular. We will definitely dine here again and tell our friends to go as well.
Food and service were great. We both ordered the Vogue steak and it was as tender as the finest aged prime beef. Altogether a very nice evening for my wife and myself.
It seemed like it took forever for our food to arrive. The onion soup had to be sent back to be reheated. The Vogue salad was about half the size it used to be. The bun fir the Vogue burger was huge compared to the burger. Certainly has changed in the last 6 months 😞
The salmon, the shrimp and risotto was dry and tasteless. Almost like it was prepared yesterday and reheated. The lasagna was bland also. The tuna tartare was fairly good with nice presentation.
Service and ambiance was good. The food was not up to their usual good level. 🙃
Everything was wonderful! The server was attentive and the food was delicious! And of course the Martinis are always amazing! My favorite local restaurant!
Great menu lots of options
It is simply wonderful😁😁
Dinner was wonderful. The salmon was tasty, the Steak Vogue done medium rare as requested and the oysters on the half shell, fresh and served with all of the sides you expect. Wait staff friendly and knowledgeable. Great job!
Vogue Bistro is one of the best options for delicious, casual patio dining in Surprise. We've been here several times lately and have enjoyed every meal. Nice cocktail and wine selection also. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Dining on the patio on a 100 degree evening was made comfortable by shades and misters. Try the french fries. They are wonderful!
Again ....... why a restaurant thinks that loud music enhances a dining experience is beyond my understanding. The apparent average age of the clientele when I was there seemed to be about 65 years old. Nobody and I mean nobody was enjoying that loud music. How do I know? I asked !
We are from Wyoming, and our 2nd home is in surprise. We found the Vogue probably 2 years ago , and every time we come down this is our favorite place. The martinis, food, service and ambiance are outstanding, and there wait staff is genuine!!!
Our waiter was non existent! After the initial explanation of the menu he never asked is we wanted a beverage, after 10 minutes I had to get his attention and ask him for a glass of wine and my wife wanted a Pepsi but before she could say anything he was gone and never came back until we ordered our food....20 minutes later. Again at this time my wife ordered a Pepsi, the food came but no Pepsi. We had to ask to have it removed for our bill as we never received it. The food was very good however at a restaurant that has a reputation for being a good place to go I would expect good service instead I felt neglected the entire evening. It was not an evening to impress our friends.
I am in and around Surprise about once a month, and Vogue Bistro has been on my "short list" for a couple of years now. Food quality is very consistent, good drink and wine menu, and the service is always friendly and engaging. It's more expensive than many other spots in the area, but always seems to be worth it to me.
Food and service were exceptional. If the Lobster Bisque is available be sure to try it and one of their signature martinis.
I love this place and they did not disappoint! The oysters were wonderful and snapper was cooked perfectly.
Arrived for a 12:15 reservation and were promptly seated. Plenty of distance between tables, and staff wearing masks. We started with Vogue chips, which were flavorful and hit the spot. Husband had the blue jeans burger, and I had the crab avocado croissant. Burger was cooked properly medium and tasty. Crab croissant was tasty even though the croissant was either stale or over grilled. Our server, Dana, (10 stars!) thought we had waited too long to be served and offered a drink on the house. I chose the lemoncello martini. Excellent! Dana checked on us regularly, and was very friendly.
We didn't eat..they sat us right in front of the entrance door and with it being 114 degrees out wasn't pleasant. The AC wasn't on. Took about 10 minutes before the waitress came over. We ended up leaving. Ate here plenty of other times and no big issues normally. They tried talking us into a Martini to stay but my wife and I don't like Martinis. Gave our money to a different restaurant instead.
Saturday noon. It was very warm inside, the entire visit.
Lobster Bisque was very good.
Wife's Flat Bread was not desirable.
My meatloaf was blah.
Scalloped potatoes excellent.
My friend and I ordered the Dior (lemon drop) Martini...super amazing! We also enjoyed splitting, the Filet Mignon, a side of Risotto, Caprese Salad, and topped it off with a superb Creme Brulee. It was one of the best two hours I have had in months.
Our waiter Jason was awesome! Can't wait to go back!
We have been to Vogue Bistro several times and always enjoyed it. The food has always been great, and the service impeccable. This time was disappointing. First of all, we let them know that we were celebrating my birthday (when we made the reservation and speaking directly to the waiter). There was never a mention of it again. No “Happy Birthday”, no dessert, no “we hope you enjoyed your birthday”. Nothing. We had to dine on the patio because that was the only table available. We knew that when we made the reservation, so I’m not faulting Vogue Bistro for that. However, it was 111 degrees when we got there, and down to 104 by the time we left. Needless to say, we were VERY warm! The waiter never even asked if we would like another drink. We waited and waited for our dinner, all the while getting hotter and hotter. Our waiter said in passing that our dinner would be right out. Again, we waited. Finally my husband flagged down our waiter and asked about our dinner. While I didn’t look at my watch, my guess is that our dinner was served about an hour after we were seated. That was a long time to sit in 105+ degrees. My husband ordered the filet mignon. He said it was one of the toughest steaks he has eaten. Very disappointing for that cut of steak. We asked for bread with our dinner and never got any. When we were done with our dinner, our waiter asked if we would like dessert. When we said no, the look of relief in his body language was all too apparent. With the current state of the pandemic, going out to eat is a luxury. It was really disappointing that our one outing turned out like this.
Always very good.
Excellent service with great menu selections.
This was our first visit to Vogue Bistro and we were very pleased. The wait staff was very attentive but without being suffocating. Food was excellent and presentation was well above average. The timing of the courses arriving at the table was exceptional. We will be keeping Vogue Bistro at the top of our list going forward.
Food was great. This has always been our go-to favorite for special meal or celebration. Covid compliance was well done.
It was our anniversary dinner so I wanted it to be special. The food was very good and Jason, our waiter was personable and attentive. We will go back there.
During this time, the tables are well spaced out which means fewer indoor tables , they do have a few tables on the patio that had misters going, so do make a reservation. Nice ambiance. Upgraded menu with many choices. Jason our server was attentive, friendly and gave us space. Go during happy hour and the wine by glass are $5.00. Along with other specials. Started with the Tuna Towere, Ahi tuna tartare stacked and mixed with Avocado, tomato, pico de gallo with a great tasty ponzu sauce, with large chips for scooping it all up. Went with the Vogue steak had very tasty peppercorn sauce and good bourbon mushrooms and vogue fries, cooked to medium as requested. Ended with a shared slice of The Cake. Chocolate fudge center and all chocolate with some raspberry on the side. Very nice ending. All was cleaned, and masks, however, like i said fewer tables, so seems quite empty. This is a upgraded dining and good for an occasion.
This is a great local restaurant. The wine selection is good, and the martini's are amazing. The food offers a good selection between sandwich and entry items. Try the meatloaf and the salmon salad.
John was fantastic server. Thank you for making Ed s 72 bday special
Not a better place to take your lover on date night!!!!
The restaurant had the ambience of a hamburger shop--dishes and pots making tons of noise right next to our table. Several waiters congregated near our table talking to each other. The music wasn't relaxing, but at least it was not as loud as some restaurants. The roast duck was tender and well seasoned, but the star of the plate was brussels sprouts braised in sweetened balsamic vinegar.
The wait staff and food as exemplary as usual. My favorite place in Surprise!!
We want to try this again. The menu is good, the prices fair. Someone has the right idea here - except for the execution. Scalloped potatoes served with the meatloaf was woefully under seasoned. Meatloaf could have used a little salt as well. Asked for a steak served medium rare and it arrived medium well. And the main problem here was that the staff didn't come to check until the end of the meal. Asking if we wanted another steak after everyone at the table was finished was pointless. The duck was terrific as was the tuna tartar. As I said - we will definitely try this again because there is so much potential.
Luv luv luv♥️♥️♥️
Food was great. Service was slow and the table wasn't steady - they finally put something under one end.
Great meal at Vogue. Sat on outside patio. Tables spaced for social distancing and service by Jason was excellent.
