    It was my husband's and I's first times there and we absolutely loved it. We shared the charcuterie, then for dinner I got the berkshire pork and he had the scallops. 10/10 would recommend it all again!!!!! Definitely may be our new special occasion spot. We sat out on the passageway patio area and the ambience with the Christmas lights was top notch!

    My wife and I came to V Mertz for our 2nd wedding anniversary. This place did not disappoint. From start to finish we felt like special guests and the setting was perfect. If you’re looking for a great spot to take your significant other, look no further.

    This is a very adorable, romantic restuarant tucked away in an alley. It’s perfect for anyone looking for a nice date spot. The beef tartare was delicious - definitely our favorite appetizer. The steaks are locally sourced from Nebraska and paired with a delicious sauce. Definitely worth checking out this spot if you’re in town!

    It’s always nice to see V Mertz and the passageway decorated for Christmas. Kendra waited on us and she’s so easy to talk with. She even remembered that on our last visit my wife ordered dessert first before we ordered our entrees. A fun atmosphere.

    We enjoyed a celebratory anniversary dinner at V. Mertz. The food and drinks were excellent. Our server, Derrick, did a very nice job. He made several great recommendations which enhanced our overall experience. Highly recommend dining at this wonderful restaurant.

    We were celebrating our anniversary and we could not have picked a better spot! The night started with multiple members of the wait staff congratulating us on our anniversary. The. We were handed a personalized menu that congratulated us as well. Our server Georgie was fantastic, answered all of my questions, super kind and passionate about the meal. The food was immaculate. We had the steak with rice and creamy rich sauce on the side. Every flavor was complex and matched well with each other. The night ended with a perfect creme brulee and a special bonbon that my partner called "tasted like the best ginger bread you ever had" Cannot recommend this place enough

    It’s such a special place in the Old Market with the plants and lighting. Great seasonal cocktails, starters and entree options! Something for everyone at our table. Our server, Johanna, was amazing! She met every need, provided outstanding service, could answer menu questions, and was professional and pleasant.

    Our waiter was excellent, very helpful and attentive (without being overly so). The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars on food is my mom's steak was a little overdone, but not enough so to make a fuss about it. Everything else was excellent, though! Thanks for a fun birthday dinner.

    After going to V Mertz several times years ago, we decided to celebrate our anniversary there. It was excellent. We had forgotten how good the food was, and the service continues to be top-notch. A great place for a special dinner!

    Really excellent on all fronts for our party of 7. Oesetra was my favorite. Delicata squash was wonderful. Our guests loved their steaks and salmon. Fancy and worth it!

    Attentive staff. Sparkling wines, when served, had lost their bubbles. Amuse bouche was very nice. Buffalo overcooked (dry). Perhaps due to the thin cuts served.

    We had an amazing dinner to celebrate our 8th anniversary. It was our first visit and we will be back. We went with the tasting menu and wine paring. Yum. The wine pushed me to broaden my wine palate and paired wonderfully with the courses.

    The ambiance is amazing, and our server Kendra was great and personable. I understand this is a trendy restaurant and they want to serve unique cuisine, but as a meat and potatoes person, I'd like to see maybe a more traditional side dish offering. The steak I had was AWESOME, but I left the wild rice, squash, and pepper side on the plate. Would like to have had a more traditional potato offering instead (maybe with that V. Mertz flair added to it somehow). Also, some form of a salad offering before the main course. At the end of the day, still a wonderful experience and an enthusiastic recommendation. Definitely a place to try while in Omaha.

    What a gem, we were celebrating my birthday plus our anniversary at the V.Mertz, our server was awesome with his knowledge of champagne, wine and food. We had hard to fine Krug and brought our own wine, Overture. Food was sublime, caviar, cheese plate, filet with pepper sauce, salmon and pork tenderloin. Still thinking about how great dinner was.

    We did the chef's sampling, all 7 courses were fantastic! I know the selection rotates with ingredient availability and I'd be hard pressed to go there are not have complete faith in what was being made.

    From the small detail of printing Happy Birthday on the menus to the details of the food served to us. The food was delicious, close your eyes while eating delicious. We will be thinking of this dinner for a long time and will be coming back!
