We did not eat there. We had reservations for 6:45. I did not realize that Woodinville HS had their Homecoming that night. Clearly, they overbooked. By 7:10, we were not moving in line. I saw a neighbor who had gotten to the front waiting on the side-lines. The noise was so loud you could barely hear what was said. It was for my Birthday, and I will try Vivi at a later time, but they need to rethink how they except reservations.
This was my third time visiting Vivi. I came with my family for a birthday celebration, which seemed to bother our server that we were a larger group. Not to worry, a bigger (and drunken) group came in not too long after us and totally disrupted the atmosphere. They were screaming, swearing, singing, and so on, without a single word from a restaurant employee to tone it down a notch. This was a bother to not only me and my family, but every other head-turning patron in the restaurant as well. The group was such a distraction, it took our wait staff away from our own group and resulted in cranky service when we did get it. I understand the group size is out of restaurant control and buzzed up groups may be expected in Woodinville's wine country, but when they become a nuisance to other guests, management should step in. The food and general atmosphere of the restaurant are always good, but maybe train your staff better to deal with unfortunate circumstances. Nobody likes a snooty server.
The food is fabulous, it’s a fabulous place for lunch and dinner .
The bussers were very attentive. Enjoyable as always.
Had the Margarita pizza and mushroom pizza. Bland, no real flavor, medium thickness dough which was too thick for the pizza style. Papa Murphy's in the house is 5 stars compared to this place and cheaper. Save your money or order something other than pizza. Good ambience and nice outdoor covered seating though. Might go back to try the pastas as they looked good.
Pizza came out cooked but not even warm, server took it back and heated it up, all was well . Chopped salad was not as good as usual - lacking in presentation & ingredients.
First off, we love Vivi Pizzeria. We've been coming here for over 4 years and conservatively have probably been here ~50 times. Maybe it's the overall popularity, maybe it's just the population growth, maybe it's even more people coming to Woodinville wine country over the weekend, but the experience has changed. It used to be a relatively well-attended but not packed place. Now - unless you go on Wednesday night at 5 PM - it's packed and it's as loud as a college bar during football season. The food, which had been consistently excellent, is now just good, and often uneven. This weekend, my veal - which I love - was overcooked - which is probably the 4th time in our last 10 visits that has happened. Last weekend, my wife's pasta was completely dry. The portions have gotten noticeably smaller as well, though that is from "big and a great value" to "not-as-big and just a good value". I can understand all the reasons, but it's still a bit of a shame to see some of the luster rub off what was one of our favorite restaurants. We'll keep coming, maybe at different times, but probably not as often, and sadly not on the weekends which is when we will could use a nice dinner at Vivi.
Great food and service!
I always recommend Vivi Pizzeria when customers come into my tasting room in Woodinville. We eat there often and always enjoy it.
We had a reservation but the table they were going to seat us at was right by the line up for the register so we asked for a different table. We were told we could sit at another table outside and they’d send a server over. Never got a server out there, not even for some water. After waiting for quite a while, my husband went back in to ask and he was told they don’t serve out there and by that time we lost our reservation. Not a great impression for our first visit. After I complained another employee apologized and brought us inside to a table, the waitress was attentive and really friendly, the food was great, lost one star because the first person was uninformed. Things to know, there are three businesses sharing that building and you are not allowed to drink anything that isn’t purchased from the business that is by that outside area. If you want to eat near the other two places, you have to order and pay inside the restaurant and they will only deliver your food...no other service will be offered. It’s a nice little place, nothing fancy but their pizza was really good.
We had a big group (~12) for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and the waitress was very accommodating to how we wanted to split the check, kept the drinks flowing, and didn't make us feel rushed. The food itself was amazing! Almost all of us ordered different pizzas and the Tanina was my favorite--so delicious! It was a little loud inside, but I expected that since we were a big group and on a beautiful, busy Saturday.
Very solid Italian fare. We went on a Thursday night and it was busy but we got seated right away. Took a little longer than it should have to get our meals but the result was terrific. Wedge salad and bolognese were both tasty. The calzone was overbaked (not quite burned) but ones I'd had here before have been perfect. We'll be back, after wine tasting or before a Chateau concert. Great location.
Celebrated my wife’s milestone birthday here and hit the restaurant trifecta... great food, great service & great prices! I’m not a thin crust pizza fan, but this is the best thin crust pizza I’ve ever had! The brussel sprouts were exceptional as were the garlic shrimp! Will definitely dine here again!
They were very busy when we were there most recently, so I think that led to a more disappointing experience than usual. Their pizza is our favorite, but it came out warm-ish, which certainly lowered my appreciation of it. There were gross floating things in our water jug (actually, same thing happened last time I was there, which I did mention to them.... so I think they need major improvement in cleanliness since it was not a one-off issue and they are ignoring customer comments). And the table bread was dry and hard with a couple blobs of a slimey orange substance on the bread and in the basket (likely food rubbed off from something else, but was clearly an accident). Needless to say, multiple things put on our table were unappetizing. Customer service was still great though. Very nice waitress that helped with our wine and dessert selection. Love the live music on the patio and their winery neighbor. Hopefully next time the food and cleanliness is better though!
A busy weekend night and being in the heart of wine tasting makes this a noisy place sitting outside and the staff a bit overwhelmed. Food was excellent as always. Just need to plan a better time to come enjoy it.
Love Vivi and have dined there many times. The food and service were excellent as always, but this time the noise level was very high and it was extremely warm in the restaurant. This can be solved by eating outside or at one of the adjacent wineries, but we had a larger party and that wasn't our best option.
My friends good never came after an hour and a half. And an hour and a half of checking in. Everyone else’s food came. The owner was lovely and nice after we complained, but I think they need to work on their operations. The problem was not resolved until we complained several times.
A change in management has to be the explanation for the inedible food. The pizza used to be fine. The salads used to at least look good and not just slopped on a plate. The ambiance with the music was good. I recommend having a beer (not wine) listening to the music and avoiding the food. The service/people still wonderful.
Horrible service. They forgot to bring iced tea and didn’t come by to greet us. No salad dressing offered, maybe because all the dressing bottles were empty on the side station. There were three adults and two kids and they added gratuity automatically. They didn’t deserve any gratuity for the lack of attention paid to the table. We won’t be coming back, as they didn’t seem to want our business. Very disappointing.
Took team there for a dinner on 7/23. 7 of us. Nice table in corner. All food was very good up until dessert---not so good. But they comped the desserts once we mentioned it, so all good. Service was a bit suspect. Lost our main guy a few times for extended periods. Overall, a fun experience, good variety and quality of food and wine list.
Vivis is one of my favorite restaurants in Woodinville. We go there often and I always get the same things. I start with the fried brussels sprouts and then I get the fettuccini tartufo. Yesterday the pasta dish was super bland and lacked the truffle oil! I let the server know and they added some more oil but it wasn’t as usual. She mentioned they had a new chef working in the kitchen. Also I ordered the $8 Sauvignon Blanc but got the $13 one. I hope things improve the next time we come!
It was a beautiful sunny day and we were excited to eat here. The place was busy but you can see how crazy it can get. Then they don’t have a very clear hostess, they have a station where you can order pizza at so you can sit next door at the winery, but the hostess is quite and stands at that same spot. They where out of clams and muscles for an appetizer that they had run out 2 days before, which shocked me that no one ordered more but fresh seafood I get it. So we ordered our food, which was absolutely amazing and all the other dishes around us looked great. Including the guys pasta that had clams and mussels, which was BS that we couldn’t have the appetizer of. Then our server was a little absent minded and took a long time to get us our refills. The server then came ad placed our food in boxes which took 10minutes and upon her return just dropped off our boxes. No mention of desert that we wanted. And just walked away we finished our drinks, I had to walk up to her in the restaurant ten minutes later to ask for our check so we could leave. That still took 10minutes to get. So from the time she picked up and took our food we had waited for 30minutes before we could even pay. So I give a difficult review. Love the location, love the inside and outside of the restaurant and the food was great, but the service needs a serious overhaul.
We had a lovely meal before the concert at Chateau Ste Michelle!
The service was great and loved the atmosphere. It was quite busy and food took a bit long but we never felt forgotten. Penne pesto with chicken was pretty good and absolutely loved the Polpette, a must have. Very generous portions.
The food was unbelievably delicious. This is the second time we have visited this restaurant and I do have to say that the food quality is consistently outstanding. Thank you for a great lunch!
Great service and food, outdoor seating too!
One of the best pizzeria. The hype is justified. Highly recommended.
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic.
We sat on the patio and were able to enjoy the music and fresh air.
Definitely a spot to visit frequently!
Vivi’s is always an awesome dining and social experience. The staff is stellar. The food is always very good. Location is great in the winery district. My kids and I are regulars. The wine list is also fantastic!
Always high quality food with great service
Menu has a wide selection that can accommodate any type of guest.
A very nice atmosphere for couples with nice music, a little loud but enjoyable. It was wonderful eating outside and enjoying the wonderful vibe of Woodinville.
The food was good and the service excellent. A great experience overall. We will be back.
If you’re looking for a delicious pizza, this is your place. Their fantastic selection of unique pizzas and Pasta is the reason we continue to eat at Vivi.
Dinner with my daughtet
Excellent food and service. Could do without the TV's. Noise level very high. Easy conversation not possible. Still, we will return for the great food.
Two plates of food contained a black human hair, two dishes were refunded, but in truth the whole bill should’ve been refunded and more.
We love this place. Always packed but easy to get a reservation. Our server this past weekend was great. The pasta is amazing!!
Had a quick date night and popped in for dinner (had reservations). Service was A+, found a good bottle of Italian wine for $32 (really good value), and dinner was very good. I had a pizza and my wife had the mussels. Started with the quatro brushetta and then salads. Only dish that was sub par was my ceasar salad. Will go again to try out more menu items.
Unfortunately we have decided to not dine in at Vivi Pizzeria anymore. We have made several attempts at dining there and the service is always iffy. This last visit our appetizer was completely forgotten, the salad that I ordered for dinner came out way too early. We were offered more water and more bread but then they never brought us any. They were going to try and pack us up some Calamari to go, but who wants day old Calamari. This is not the first time things have been forgotten and it seems to happen every time we try and dine there. So we will not be going back. The food is good though. So take out might be an option - but if they forget things while we are sitting there I would hate to get home with take out and realize my dinner isn't there or isn't correct.
Food was great! We have two kids so loud is preferable. Kids loved playing with dough and watching pizzas get made!
