Paul was a terrific waiter and made our evening out special! He took the time to talk with us and after learning of a birthday in our group, helped us celebrate that event.
Love the Funghi appetizer! And the flourless chocolate cake dessert was amazing! Pricey but not too bad. Loved the ambience of this place. Will revisit soon
My out of town guests and I had a great time. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend the portobello and smoked salmon appetizer. Both friends had wonderful homemade pasta dishes and I had bison steak special. Wine list is off the charts.
Great place for a meal before or after Hamilton!
The food was very inspired with interesting flavors and the service was impeccable.
Excellent food ,UNIQUE decor and service with WHITE TABLE CLOTHS
We came for dinner before theater. Our food was interesting and creative, our service was friendly and excellent, and we were served and done in plenty of time for the show.
Food was good. Unfortunately food was not warm. Service was good. Waiter respected our time constraints. Wait staff was very attentive.
Enjoyed lunch here before Hamilton matinee. Great service!
Disappointed as we were in town to see Hamilton. Food was average at best and prices were ridiculous.
Good food, wine, and atmosphere. Neat décor. I would definitely recommend.
Took a close friend and business Assocate for a good Italian dinner and was not disappointed.
An old favorite, never disappoints
We continue to be impressed with the service and food at Vivere. Service is impeccable from the greeting through the thank you at the end. Everyone works together to enhance your dining experience. The managers are always visible helping out staff and checking on patrons to make sure nothing is missed. The food is excellent, creative Italian cuisine. Flavors and presentation always delight from the appetizers through pasta, meat, and fish creations and ending with desserts. If anything is just not perfect, they immediately and graciously correct the problem without question. Atmosphere is more intimate and eloquent that a lot of restaurants today making for an enjoyable dining experience. Vivere is one of our favorites for pre-theatre dining and special occasions
Great service, ambience and wonderful food!
Great service! Food was below average and my daughter got a bowl of pasta with red sauce and they charged her $24. It lacked flavor and the price was ridiculous. We won’t be back.
we enjoyed the pre theatre menu - our server was very attentive & outgoing - she made the evening enjoyable - she even remembered it was a birthday celebration when she brought to the table a dessert with candle gratis !
My wife and I had dinner here prior to going to the theatre. We prefer Vivere to the Italian Village upstairs because of it is more elegant and has a quieter ambiance. In addition, the staff is very much geared toward serving the pre-theatre crowd and paces the meal in a manner comfortable for making the opening curtain. In fact, the restaurant has a special theatre menu featuring a selection of some of its favorite dishes, which is very reasonably priced.
My wife and I split a dinner salad for our first course. Our waiter was very accommodating and served the salad to us on individual plates. For our entree, we had two of the pasta dishes. The pasta was made fresh and nicely seasoned.
Overall, we had a very fine dining experience and will return.
Made a reservation before Hamilton. My husband and I ordered off the Prix fixe menu and the food was delicious. The food at Vivere was just as great as the play! Will go back again.
Food is expensive and awful
Excellent food and service
the only thing worth while was the reduced rate for parking and the proximity to the theater.
The waiter was load and overbearing, the salad, main course was over salted, and was not worth the price. This was the least enjoyable visit to the theater loop dining we have ever had.
Wonderful food, incredible wine list, excellent service. We'll be back!
Vivere provided the perfect spot for our pre-theater dinner. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Will definitely go back.
Service was outstanding and food great as well. We look forward to returning.
The menu was so diverse and sophisticated, it was difficult to make a choice. Everything looked great. However, our very professional server, Paul, was able to guide us to his best recommendations for each of the four different courses, each one of which was spectacular! The truffles with mushrooms appetizer was so savory. My halibut was cooked perfectly, with a wonderful side salad. My wife’s pasta with mushrooms was so good that I took it from her The crème brûlée appetizer was to die for. I can’t wait to go back!
Excellent service and the food was good.
The gnocchi alone is worth dining in this friendly, customer service oriented restaurant. Our waiter kept tabs on the clock to ensure we had time to walk to the theater while still offering us a relaxed, enjoyable meal. Portion sizes of the delicious dishes were just right for people with good appetites, perfect for sharing (and they split in the kitchen!) for those who like a smaller portion. There were so many excellent dessert options that we ordered more than we could possibly finish! We'll be back soon and highly recommend Vivere for a fun theater district dinner.
Best service ever. Amazing food. Unique, but commonly known recipes.
The one thing not on the above list: the extraordinary cuisine: fresh, very creative, inspired.
This place is a chef's dream!
Excellent pre-theater menu. Portion sizes were perfect for dinner before show. Delicious carmalized onion polenta with airline chicken
This was our third time here - great every time. Highly recommend the veal piccata and chicken saltimboca. They are great when you have a show or concert to attend and make sure you are done on time.
Went before theater and was greeted warmly by name. Waiter was attentive and food was wonderful. I had a ravioli that was the best I have even had another in our group had a lamb fettuccine while a third had a seafood pasta. All of us agreed each was delicious
It was phenomenal. Not too over welding but very homey feeling and everyone was so nice. Definitely recommend to friends and family. Price was fair too. And dessert blew me and my fiancé away!!
They did a great job of serving us before going to a show, moving things along, getting us out in time. We sat upstairs and had a nice view of the restaurant and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. I ordered chicken (I never order chicken in restaurants, so shame on me) and it was very dry. My SO ordered scallops and they were very good. I had gnocchi as a first course and it was delicious. The olive oil for the bread was good and flavorful, but still would have liked some mixers with it (parm, pepper, etc). So all in all, it was a good experience, but not great.
Had a great meal and wonderful wine . Will return for sure.
The food was excellent. The service was very attentative and the ambiance was very warm. We had a great night.
I took my fiancée for Valentine's Day dinner before going to the theatre. Great choice!
The ambiance, the service, and the food were wonderful.
We were able to relax, enjoy the moment and a delicious meal before the show.
I only wish the portions would have been a little bigger, but overall it was excellent.
Definitely coming back.
The grilled calamari salad and the buffalo cheese appetizer were both very good. Service was excellent as we were going to the theater after dinner and they were very prompt.
Lunch during restaurant week to check out the restaurant since I'd only been once before. While I was disappointed in the salad (Insalata della Casa) I ordered as an appetizer (it was bland and the lettuce was meh), I was more upset at the calamari appetizer (which we ordered separately from the RW menu). Quite simply, it was flavorless. The best part of that dish was the arugula and it was served over.
HOWEVER, both the ravioli my guest had, and the salmon I had were TO DIE FOR. Seriously, the ravioli had so much flavor and the salmon was PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned well. The carrot puree it was served with was delicious as well and I don't even like carrots.
They redeemed themselves with the service (we had a great waiter) and the CREME BRULEE.
THey ran out of cheesecake and gave us the best dessert ever instead. Not only was it filling, it was as creamy and flavorful as creme brulee should be. My take? Skip the apps, but definitely do dessert!
