Vivace Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Vivace seldom disappoints. They have a very nice variety of appetizers and entrees. Their desserts are very good if you can find room. Their complimentary bread and their bread dip (with garlic and basil) is the undisputed best in town. They have a very reasonably priced wine list, and it is nice to see that Daniel is quite often present. It shows he cares about the restaurant and his guests.
My favorite restaurant Divine food Delectable dishes .I had the veal Marsala ,heaven for the taste buds ,a gourmet's dream And My friends had sea bass and my sister in law rarely eats fish but said it was the best she ever had.I have never had a bad dish Everything smells and delights the taste buds The salads are good and the desserts ,my favorite bread pudding with caramel Beautiful views of the Catalina Moutains and food to elevate the senses even higher
We go to Vivace for all special occasions and this time it was our wedding anniversary. The wait staff always remembers us and they make us feel welcome. This time we sat on their back patio with views of the Catalina mountains. It was a highlight of the experience as the scenery was lovely and it was very peaceful. They added a few new items to the menu and we both tried new things - not ordering our favorites which is unusual for us, but we were not disappointed in the crab cakes and the pork cutlet parmesan.
We came for dinner to celebrate a special occasion.
Positives: We reserved a table with a view for two & were seated promptly. The service was very good. We were never rushed & we were assisted as needed. The food was good as was the wine list. For a nice touch & end to the meal, they brought a candle in a desert to celebrate - a nice touch.
Negatives: Loud & chaotic. Lots of people talking (poor acoustics) and waiters rushing up & down the stairs. We could barely hear the waiter or ourselves talk.
A better choice would be the courtyard seating. It's has the Italian ambiance (but no view of the city lights). Note: They only seat outside when weather cooperates as it is not cooled or heated.
Once again Vivace exceeded our expectations ! Consistency is Vivace's +. The same available parking, welcoming smile at the reception, excellent food and excellent service, thank you Mary. We were celebrating my Wife's 'B'day and requested patio seating. It was a quiet evening on the patio with Mary's perfect timing and service with a nice smile. We will be back again . . .and again and again.
Vivace’s is very popular and for good reasons. The food is excellent, the prices for food and beverages are very reasonable and they operate an effective restaurant. I do believe the service could be improved as they seemed to have insufficient waiters to handle their packed restaurant and we had to request our waiters attention far too many times. Otherwise, it was an excellent dining experience!!
We were there on a weeknight and the restaurant was not overly crowded. It looked to be understaffed. Our waiter appeared to be covering a number of tables all over the restaurant and it was difficult to get his attention in a timely manner. Given the reputation it has we were rather disappointed.
My server was phenomenal. He made my wife and I feel special on her birthday. We were only cared for like that one other time at a 5☆ restraunt in Hawaii, where we went earlier this year. If not for the taste or scenic view, you should definitely come for the experince. All were eaually as extrodinary. I would like to thank the bartender, the hostess and,and waitresses for working with me to preplan that amazing birthday dinner for my wife.
Found this one on OpenTable on our drive from California to Texas. We were exhausted and hungry. We love great food and great wine. Neither disappointed. The chicken and asparagus risotto was amazing.....brought doggie bag home to Texas and enjoyed it this evening. Veal Marsala was probably best I have ever had. Veal was melt in your mouth tender, kissed by Marsala. Tiramisu was light, subtle and decadent. Service was stupendous. We were made to feel like we were their star patrons. Just passing through Tucson, but will definitely keep in mind if I or anyone I know goes through there. What a Gem!!!
Hadn’t been since the restaurant moved. It used to be a great go to spot for lunch. Moving to the larger space would be a good idea if the ambience wear good. Sadly, it is a large open room and is very noisy There is little privacy due to the manner tables are arranged. The food was good but not memorable. We enjoyed our celebration but wouldn’t choose Vivace as a “go to”spot when spending that type of money was over $ 250
We wanted a good Italian restaurant with good food and wine, and we found it here. My chippino (their seafood soup) was very nice, especially when I added hot pepper flakes. The cheese souffle was very good, as was the risotto. The tiramisu was a bit too creamy. Service was very good.
This was our one upscale dining experience during an extended visit to Tuscon and it was definitely a positive experience. My wife was very high on her wine, selected after several samples were supplied. We both had very good entrees. The pasta accompanying my wife's veal entree was particularly good. My wife liked the way that the escargot was served, though it was a tad on the salty side. The service was top flight. The one negative--my broccoli soup. For a quality restaurant, this was really subpar soup.
