Vivace Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I took my fiancée here for a post-Valentine’s Day dinner and it was wonderful. I’m new to the fine dining experience but our server and waitress were amazing. Everyone was polite and the food was excellent. I would definitely book a reservation here again to celebrate any occasion.
Great service! Food is always the best!! All people should tip the valet drivers ! Guys work hard in the rain , open doors, insulting to spend over $100 on dinner and not throw a $5 spot for these guys!! Was dumbfounded to see old man pull up in a Porche SUV( You know who you are, heard you eat there all the time) and to cheap to hook up my dude that held his wife up from slipping and just rode off!! DONT BE CHEAP!!
My husband and I went to Vivace tonight for Valentine’s Day. We live in Minnesota but both went to the U of A. We have been going to this place for many years now, and the food is ALWAYS as good as we remember. We were able to order the fettuccine Alfredo off the menu and it was fabulous. Our waitress was great, and the owner was out helping with tables as well. It all really made our night. If you’re looking for good Italian food - this is hands down the place to go in Tucson. Get the escargot if you’re into that. It’s out of this world.
Viviane never disappoints. Every dish is outstanding. Though it's hard not to order the usual favorites, I tried the hangar steak with polenta, that is off the charts. I detected what I thought was anise in the sauce, Danny (Scordato, the owner) confirmed it was fennel--what a delightful depth of taste. He even brought me extra gravy that the heavenly polenta soaked up. We went early (3:45 only time available for Valentine's Day) and it was delightful to see everyone elegantly dressed up--one of the few places where you can check out the fashions in Tucson!
Yet it's comfortable and reasonable for the best place in Town.
A beautiful restaurant in the foothills of Tucson, set on different levels so diners can look over the twinkling lights of the city. The main dining room where we sat was large and airy and the service was attentive and professional. Two of us had the branding, one of the best preparations we'd had, and the other two, the veal marsala. All the dishes were excellent, as were the starters and the bread. Homemade tiramisu completed an excellent meal. Highly recommended.
Friends had recommended Vivace and as we live in Vail it is a bit of a drive. We went for my husband’s 66th birthday and the drive was well worth it. We were expecting it to be extremely expensive but for the quality and portions of the food it was more than reasonable. The service was excellent and the views are exceptional. We plan on celebrating our anniversary there in May and dine outdoors.
Our only concern was that when we were seated, we actually sat there for 25 minutes before anyone came up to take care of us. One person came, said they would get back to us, that was the last we saw of her. We really enjoyed the food, thought it was outstanding but perhaps staff should be more aware of someone sitting there.
Food didn’t seem quite on the usual mark. Hostess seated us and then we were abandoned; after 15 minutes I went in search of menus and a server. Waiter worked hard to make up for that. Certainly not a diverse clientele. My wife appeared to be the only person of color other than the bussers.
