Vivace Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I’ve eaten at many outstanding Italian restaurants all over the world. The food at Vivace is excellent and will stay on my list as among the best. A little noisy but still ok for conversation. Service is excellent too; all the staff are friendly and helpful. Thanks for a delicious & relaxing meal!
Both salads and entrees were excellent (hers pear Gorgonzola, mine spinach with pancetta). Main course (hers salmon with linguine, mine asparagus chicken on risotto). Because it was for a birthday we even did dessert. I defaulted to their perfect creme brûlée, while she went Gaga for their fruit Napoleon).
Much better experience than the last time we there about a year or more ago.
Vivace sneaks up behind you. That is, when you may think you are at an fashioned, Nonna-style Italian restaurant--nothing too unusual on the menu, but watch out! the implementation is out of this world. And the service--oh my. It's hard to find service this outstanding at this price point. One of the best restaurants in Tucson.
Always superb...Daniel (the owner) is very hands on and always visible. We try different things as well as reordering favorites and everything is always great. A little too much butter in the home made pasta for my liking but it is so wonderful - wines are exceptional. Given that we took half the food home and had it for dinner the next night it's a good value.
we will always come back for special occasions and for no reason at all - just to enjoy good food. It can be a little too noisy - that is my only complaint.
We're from out of town and found this place on line while searching for interesting restaurants in Tucson. We went with another couple for a nice New Year's Eve dinner. While there was a constant stream of diners and the place was quite full, the staff seemed to handle things well. They were able to seat us (our reservation was for a somewhat late dinner - 8:30 pm) within 10 minutes or so of our arrival. The wait staff was attentive and checked up on us regularly. The food was very good. The menu has a nice variety of options with good salads and appetizers. The wine list was especially impressive with very reasonable prices.
All in all, we had a great experience and would definitely go back.
Once again we returned to Vivace. It is our favorite upscale restaurant in Tucson. The food is always excellent, served hot and beautifully presented As usual, our server Felix, did a perfect job of touching base with us without being obtrusive. Wonderful place.
We enjoyed a delicious New Year's Eve late lunch. The food was great! Really well made Italian. It was bigger inside than I expected but the service was outstanding. The decor is a bit old school but then... not unusual for Italian. Everything was delicious!
Disappointing is the only way to describe it. But Its probably an expectation problem since we had read what a great restaurant Vivace was supposed to be. The food was not bad, just not inspiring. Again not bad, just not very intriguing or creative. So bottom line, if you need to impress someone by spending a lot of money then this is the restaurant for you.
We were a party of 8 including two children ages twelve and nine. We requested a round table
near the fireplace, and the restaurant accommodated our request perfectly. The food and service were both excellent. It is a beautiful setting as well.
Vivace has an outstanding reputation which is well deserved!
