Service was exceptional and they were very accommodating to a special request we made. Food was great, as usual.
Vivace is located in a strip mall and was hard to find but well worth the trouble! It is a very busy place and so the noise level is high but that’s not an issue for us. The food was amazing. We ordered fried calamari and olives and almonds as a first course. The portions were so large we decided with advice from our waiter to share a Caesar salad and the Papparadelle Bolognese. The only small critique we could make was that the salad was a bit bland. Beyond that we could not have had a better meal!
The staff was very accomodating with any & every request. We all enjoyed our lunch. Our friends said they would return (it was their first time at Vivace). And, of course, so will we, even though it is a hike for us. It is worth it.
The food and service was amazing. Will definitely come back again next time I’m in the area.
We went to Vivace for Fathers day. The meal was very good and the service was outstanding. My only complaint is that we ordered a Canoli for desert. The shell was so hard I literally couldn't bite through it with my teeth, let alone my fork. The waiter came by to ask how it was and as a knee jerk i said fine. Frankly I was full and really just wanted a touch of sweet to end the meal so I didn't think to mention it. Next time i definitely will. So it my fault as much as there's. I have been to this restaurant before and will go again.
My family and I come here mostly for special occasions. The food has never let us down. It seems like it gets better with every visit. This visit was for Father's Day brunch.
We started out with the brussel sprouts. They always have a great flavor, but this time they weren't quite cooked enough. My wife had the Scallops Risotto which was out of this world. I had the Grilled Steak. It was cooked perfectly. We both had the Zeppoli for dessert. It was outstanding.
Our waiter was great as they all are. But the only reason that I gave the service 4 stars instead of 5 was the hostess didn't seem like she wanted to be there. She didn't smile or make eye contact. I believe the only thing that she said to us was "hello". Anybody can have a bad day, but if I'm going to spend $90 for brunch I would at least like them to act like they're glad to see us come in the door.
Other than that, Vivace is a great restaurant outstanding food. They never disappoint!!
Great restaurant!! Will definitely come back!!
Best Italian restaurant in raleigh by far
Always perfect. This is our restaurant of choice when we want a nice dinner.
This is a great restaurant and sitting outside makes everything even better.
Excellent food and Jamie, our server, was terrific!
Returned for a long lunch with an old friend. Simple caprese, but really appreciate peeling the tomatoes.
The Calimari was fresh and cooked to perfection. The Veal Saltimbocca was also very good , The sauce wes perfect. The pizza had fresh and tasty ingredients. We had the Margarita Pizza.
The restaurant is small but very cozy and modern. The food was fantastic, the tomato soup is heavenly (garlicy and rustic) and the pasta was al dente perfection. This is a perfect date night spot!
This the best of the Triangle Restaurant Week selections we made. Each dish was superbly prepared and presented. The subtle blend of textures, tastes, and flavors was perfection in our minds. Clearly the Chef gave a lot of attention to his selection and pared the perfectly.
We cannot wait to go back and will be taking my Romeo's Group there the next time it is my choice.
Arrived right as they opened at 11 and stayed past one. Terrific service and no pressure to turn the table. Great experience.
Love Vivace - it is consistently delicious and a great value. Noise level is reasonable and the wait staff is very attentive without being overbearing. Great restaurant!
The food was perfect and so was the staff, we go there at every chance we get Raleigh's finest
Love love ...always good, dinners, just drinks or brunch never lets us down ...
Food was terrific! Enjoyed the roasted beet and strawberry salad with chicken.
had a lovely dinner there with girlfriends. Our server Kevin was very patient with all our questions, and gave great recommendations. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Perfect. We each loved the wines, entrees and desserts we ordered. I had the papparedelle bolognese and the cannelloni and they were sooooo good. My friend said the gnocchi and tiramisu were spot on. We will definitely be back!!! So glad we found this gem!
Food was good , however, not a very authentic Italian restaurant to me.
I have a very mixed review. when making reservations I noted that it was my wife's birthday in 2 places on the reservation. Her birthday was not mentioned by any of the staff nor did she get a small Birthday dessert as is normal, especially in and expensive restaurant. This is inexcusable.
The wine list was loaded with selections in the $60- 150 price range. For Italian wines this is quite overpriced. I ordered a $60 bottle which they didn't have but offered us something similar for 'only $10 more' (server's response). The wine was very good but.......
We had steamed mussels and fried calamari for appetizers. Mussels were excellent; calamari was cooked to perfection but had no seasoning whatsoever so they killed what could have been a great dish. Tuna and veal entrees were very good as was a side dish of mushrooms. dessert was mediocre
Food prices were good; wine prices were outlandish; but no mention of my wife's birthday was unforgivable.
If "energetic" noise level is a euphemism for "too loud for comfortable conversation" then yes, it was very "energetic". (What's up with that, OpenTable? Why is "too loud" not an option?)
The food was just OK, typical mid-priced Italian-style pasta and entrees you might find anywhere in the US. Which would be OK except the restaurant sets itself out as "authentic" Italian food and our server emphasized the use of genuine Italian ingredients. As somebody who travels regularly to Italy, this did not come close to authentic.
The antipasti plate was huge, plenty for two people to share.
The service was mostly OK, except that the side dish we ordered never showed up. Fortunately, it also wasn't on the bill. I think the server just completely forgot about it.
Missed the water fountain sight and sound. Under repair until....?
Vivace's never disappoints. Another great meal with friends!
Everything was great! Waiter was awesome and food was amazing!!
It is consistent in both food, and service. Always good.
Very good meal. Slow drink service.
Great outdoor dining
Overall, Best Italian restaurant in Raleigh!
Great good! Great service-thank you Kevin!! Loved the scallop risotto! Amazing! The Brussels sprouts and calamari excellent as well.
Good. Loud. Great food!
Went here for early Mother’s Day celebration....excellent dinner and waiter was great! Will be back!
The noise was too much to handle, it was impossible to have a conversation around the table.
Early Mother’s Day...was great as usual.
Service was great and the food was top notch! We celebrated our daughter's graduation and it was a wonderful evening...thanks for making it special!
Fun and romantic outdoor terrace for drinks or to dine.
Best ceasar salad in Raleigh.
Great food, good service
Very nice restaurant, unfortunately for the price, the food portions were too small. For the price I feel I would’ve gotten a better deal at Bonefish. It was my Wife’s Birthday so we tried Vivace for a new experience. We tried and won’t be back.
