PATIO SEATING IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS. ONLINE RESERVATIONS CAN ONLY BE MADE FOR OUR DINING ROOM.
First time eating at Vivace. We celebrated our anniversary and it was very nice. We did not feel rushed. Our waiter, William was pleasant and very helpful. He made great suggestions, the veal was great and ribeye wonderful! Will definitely return!
Fresh food served warm and delicious. Good service
This was our first time at Vivace. We went here as a date and got a few apps and split a salad and pasta entree. The service was excellent and attentive but not overbearing. The food was super tasty and came out at the right times. It was fairly busy on the Friday night we went but didn’t feel rushed and the wait times for apps and food was not long. We also loved it wasn’t loud with kids or large group parties. Overall this is a great place for a date night or small intimate, group dinner.
Server provided great recommendations and was very friendly.
Food was not bad, service was excellent, ambiance was also very nice. Pricing was good too
Vivace has always been a standard go to for me and I love their patio seating. However, they do not spray for bugs, so I always get bit (need to spray for mosquitoes), so have gone way less and now I have tried post-mosquito season and there are cockroaches all over the place, which is extremely unappealing. The food was good, but not stellar like it has been in the past as well. I hope that this will not be the continued trend!
Food is always great! Waiter was attentive - this is one of our favorites in Raleigh!
Magical dinner under the stars on a beautiful fall evening!
So, food was very good! However it was coming way to fast!
Literally we just finished our appetizers and 2 min later we had our main course.
We have ordered cappuccino - and in Italy it is a shot of coffee with foam. Here most of the our cup it was coffee . Also the tables could be bit bigger
We were so lucky to eat outside on a perfect fall evening. Our server was wonderful, the food was fabulous. We shared the meat and cheese plate with our cocktails. Our entrees were delicious. Salmon was prepared perfectly, four cheese ravioli for my husband. I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions and any day of the week. Now about the flies. Oh well. Nature...
We love Vivace. Having first tried their sister restaurant in Wilmington, we made a reservation at Vivace for our anniversary. We have been back 3 times since the end of July. Great service, great food, it has been an equally great experience every visit. We will be back soon.
I chose Vivace to treat my mentee to celebrate her new job and all the hard work she put into our work together. Also, I have food sensitivities and the servers and kitchen always make it easy for me to navigate to something delicious and safe. They never make me feel bad and took great care of us.
The sorbet was excellent!!
Consistently very good food quality and attention to detail!
The veal was not very good. It was over cooked. The waiter was very nice but slow in bringing drinks.
Food here is always outstanding. Service was a bit slower than normal.
We had an outstanding experience at Vivace celebrating my husband's birthday. Our server William was beyond amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable about wine, helped me make some great gluten free choices and explained the difference between the pan seared brussel sprouts and the flash fried as it relates to cross contamination with gluten. He even sent out a little birthday treat from the chef. The ambiance was great for a Friday night and we will certainly be back soon .
Great food! Loved the gnocchi, inventive dessert (popcorn gelato), and the outdoor patio was lovely on a warm evening.
Food & wine as usual were delicious. What made the evening even more special was our waiter Kyle. He was courteous, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and treated our two granddaughters as adults which they loved. Highly recommend.
We had a reservation and they did accommodate us about 30 minutes early, which was great. Seating is pretty tight along the long bench. Appetizer service was very fast, the main course took a bit longer than expected. Overall the visit was good.
I was looking for a nice, romantic restaurant to take my girlfriend for her birthday, and Vivace really came through for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Always have a great experience at Vivace! It has been a goto for us since the beginning. Atmosphere is lively and food never disappoints.
We went for our anniversary and the chef prepared a special appetizer and they brought us glasses of prosecco to celebrate. Great service and quality food!
I love risotto... but squid ink makes it black! So I was a bit surprised. The taste was good but not outstanding. It was topped with 4 average size scollops. The bread was average and the spaghetti was ok. The salad was fresh but by no means unique.
The dining room is lovely and the ambience great as was the service. The wine was great: a full bodied Italian red.
Overall, we like vivace; now that Raleigh has so many options, it is difficult to stand out!
I eat here a lot. The food is very good, service is attentive, you can dine inside or out and the cocktails are good. Parking is usually available. I’ve had most things on the menu. Only once was I disappointed as I ate there for lunch and had the ravioli. They were delicious but they only put five small ones on the plate. As I had passed on the salad and I don’t do dessert I was still kinda hungry when I left. Make a reservation as this neighborhood gem can get busy.
Love Vivace, everything from ambiance to food is amazing!!!
A lovely dinner with my wife and teenage daughter. We sat outside. Excellent food, excellent service.
Holy hell that was good! Always. Get. The. Special!
From out of state. In for a medical conference. Start to finish you offered a fabulous experience. Our server went above & beyond. Ox tail special was absolutely phenomenal in presentation, texture, flavor. I was careful not to get too full....so I had the tiramisu....rich, flavorful, and so good. Reminded me of several find dining experiences from home but better.
We asked to be seated for lunch outside at 11:30, but it became apparent that the temperature was heating up. So, I asked if we could be moved inside and the servers were just wonderful. They gladly moved us to a nice cool inside table. I know this was extra work, but the people at Vivace have such great attitudes. Plus, the food is always good.
There were 6 of us and we all loved our dishes. Would definitely go back and try a new dish
Beautiful evening, sat outside! Good food, great service. Only thing that kept from being perfect was a couple of lazy flies hovering around the table. Small price to pay for the experience. No better atmosphere in Raleigh than outside seating at Vivace on a warm summer evening!
Our party of 2 was seated outside on a lovely late-summer evening (patio seating is first-come, first-serve). Service was friendly and efficient; our waiter brought tasting samples of several red wines to assist with our selection. The mixed-greens salad with peaches, candied pecans, and goat cheese, was big enough to share. Both entrees (pan-fried tilefish, and squid-ink risotto with scallops) were very satisfying! The blueberry-lemon sorbet was an excellent finish to a most enjoyable dining experience. We can’t wait to go back!
Quality of meat was poor. The veal I ordered was chewy.
Great outdoors patio for one of the best chicken ceaser salad.
The food was amazing! Will definitely be back next time I am in Raleigh.
Great dinner! A staple in the North Hills area. I always look forward to eating here when I'm in town!
My party really liked the fried Brussel Sprout appetizer. The other plates we ordered were just okay. I did not get the menu. The food seemed uninspired. Our server was perfect. My Bolognesi was lacking flavor. I would not return or recommend this restaurant with so many other better Italian restaurants available in the area. The dinner was not worth the cost, at least to my party. We were disappointed.
Great meal and customer service by waiter.
The food was very well prepared and the plate presentation was very nice. We had the bone- pork chop and rabbit rags pasta- both excellent. Service was very professional and attentive.
I actually love the food and service here. Wait staff is always top notch. Ate lunch here yesterday and had the ravioli for $15.00. I only got five ravioli which I thought was outrageously expensive. I was still hungry when I left. My friend had a salad with fresh salmon. She actually got a nice sized serving. I’ve eaten most things on the menu and it’s always good. My only complaint was a tiny lunch portion. I’ll be back.
