Was disappointed. Had been to Dressler's a few weeks ago and looked forward to Vivace. Food and dessert was OK.
Nice evening out; would go again.
We enjoyed the "mimosa brunch" however the restaurant was really, really noisy. It had a nice vibe, but if you want quiet, this is not the place. The appetizers were great - brussels sprouts and the arugula salad! I had the fried chicken sandwich and, while the flavors were nice, the bun was stale. I have eaten dinner here, too, and it was delicious.
We ate brunch at Vivace. The table service was good and the place is attractive, but ear-splittingly loud when busy. The calamari was delicious, but the frittatas were over cooked, dry, and practically tasteless. In short, there are better places for brunch in Charlotte.
Great! Celebrated an early birthday & everything was wonderful
Food was ok. Very over priced. Service was ok nothing to brag about
One of our favorite Charlotte date nights. Asked the server for wine pairings with courses and he did not disappoint. Overall 4 stars but would have been 5 if dessert had been better. Gelato was melted. Flourless chocolate brownie did not hold up as a takeout dessert.
As of my visit yesterday to Vivace, I've officially found the best gluten-free pasta in Charlotte. I had the Fra Diavolo (with shrimp!) and had to stop myself from licking my plate. They even brought me bread made from their gluten-free pizza dough. One of my lunch companions had the gluten-free pizza and pronounced it "excellent" (she has had every other gluten-free pizza in town, so this is high praise). Vivace will be my new go-to destination for any special occasion, or even for everyday get-togethers whenever I have a little extra time.
We were there for special occasion and all the info was in the notes, and no enthusiastic greeting or mention of that when server approach table. Server was short and opinionated and her attire was not neat! 2 plates out of four came out on a cool temperature even though they were Hot dishes. Portions are lacking compare with prices. Doesn't feel upscale anymore!
Sunday brunch is a must!!! Food and ambiance is great for a girls date and the service was amazing! Plus cat beat the price
The food was very average. Our waitress was very sweet, but we would not go back.
Server was really rude, didn’t not bring bread to the table, never asked for reorders of drinks, never checked to see if the food was ok and had an attitude when I confronted him regarding the lack of service and quality.
Food was ok, fish was salty and the broccolini was really bitter and inedible. The pizza was just bad with nothing but cheese and no flavor.
Pick any other place but this for any occasion.
Service was ok. Our server was very chatty with other staff !
Food was great. The Caesar salad was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. I had the salmon and even though I requested medium minus it was well done but still tasty.
My husband had the flatbread pizza and he enjoyed it.
My experience at Vivace was WONDERFUL! I made reservations there for my boyfriend's birthday and I am so glad I did. The service was exceptional, the food was incredible, and our waitress gave my boyfriend complimentary gelato for his birthday. We will definitely go back!
Very nice. Good food, good service, played new pop music while still finding a way to keep it a nice restaurant.
I have been at this restaurant before and had a better dinner experience but not so much this time. The cauliflower soup was too salty but my spouse stated his meal was good. Also, I was a little unnerved by the expediter touching the food with his hands and wiping sweat from his face at the same time. If you are going to have an open kitchen, definitely need sanitary practices!
We had a great time. Food
Was Fantastic! Loved the oysters! The service e was great too.
Everything was fine. It took a while to get our appetizers but everything was delicious.
Went for Brunch and had great food and the Bloodies and Mimosas were excellent as well. Nice ambiance and the food was very diversified and delicious with nice portions. Service was very good and will look forward to another trip to Vivace.
Vivace is a favorite! We had a lovely evening as always. Our meal came out a little later than normal but the waiter did his best to keep us apprized.
We required gluten-free dining due to Celiac Disease, and we reiterated multiple times that we were ordering from the Gluten Free menu (which is great that they have). After dinner was placed on the table, all looked fine. However, after the individual with Celiac had consumed half of his meal, we realized that there was a piece of bread buried under a mountain of food. Therefore, I would NOT recommend Vivace to anyone with food sensitivities since staff does not appear to be adequately trained.
First Managers are very friendly and visible at all times, servers disapeared and wasnt busy, food is great and tasty
Looking for great pasta before a race. This was a great choice - great selections and great taste. Initial service was excellent - but then slowed after we finished our pasta and ordered dessert. My latte seemed to have gotten lost until I tracked down a host to find it. Restaurant very full. Heather excellent personality and helpful. I would definitely go back.
We had dinner at Vivace prior to a concert at the Spectrum Center and it was fantastic. Great food, atmosphere and service.
Brunch was phenomenal!!! The Strawberry Parfait with Greek yogurt was the most delicious, refreshing appetizers. Grilled salmon was perfectly cooked. My husband had the short rib hash and loved it. Poached eggs on top was a nice touch.
Even though we had a large party and added more people last minute, they accommodated us very well! Service is always great
Food was pretty good, great price ($30) for bottomless brunch w app and entree. Will go back. Bread is 10/10
A unique brunch spot that serves tasty dishes. The brunch special comes at a great value compared to most brunch experiences. Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys gets your weekend day started off right!
It's mediocre Italian food at best. Luckily we went on Restaurant Week so we have to pay full price for what they served. Service was extremely slow there were times where the drinks came after the food we had asked several times for our drinks to come to our table at one point we even asked a manager and that was confusing for him to understand why wouldn't have our drinks. And when we arrived the saddest down and then told us nope sorry we gave you the wrong table you're going to have to wait a little longer.
Vivace is a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful wait staff and managers
Ambiance, food and service were wonderful. Great evening with friends and good food. Would highly recommend!
Service was excellent. Every bit of food was superb, including the incredible Brussels sprouts!
Very nice atmosphere.
Our overall experience was great, even when I sent my steak back because it was over cooked for my liking. The only thing I wish was better was our server, Regina. She just wasn't very friendly. There were times when she'd just come by, put something on the table and walk away without a word. We weren't expecting her to be all bubbly and chatty, but we also weren't expecting her to be so stand off ish.
We visited with friends, to try someplace new, during Queen's Feast. The foo was excellent, server was very attentive. The downside was how noisy the restaurant was. Perhaps it is not always so loud - there was a large party at the bar.
Food and service were very good. Queens Feast menu was extensive-lots of choices. Will definitely visit again.
Wonderful food. Great service.
I have two words to describe Vivace...Brussels Sprouts. I have been to the restaurant 5 or 6 times in the last two years and I get the Brussels Sprouts appetizer with every meal. They must sprinkle some kind of magic potion on them because even my teenager likes them. In addition to Brussels Sprouts, their main entrees are very good. Of particular note are the scallops, the veal saltimbocca, and the Zuppa di Pesce (with prawn, clams, baby octopus, potatoes, lobster in a tomato broth). I ordered steak at Vivace for the first time during my latest visit - the petite fillet. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and there was not an ounce of gristle or fat. I honestly don't know why people vote Vivace less than 5-stars across the board, but I guess everyone has an opinion. They are 5-star food to me. Oh and did I mention Brussels Sprouts?
I took my girlfriend for her birthday and it was great. My only problem was that it was Charlotte Restaurant week and the menu was shortened.
Queens Feast dinner recently. Nina (server) was outstanding; friendly and knowledgeable. The calamari was a tad bland but had some crushed pepper heat in the breading. The black bass was very good. Our friends' child ordered a small buttered pasta plate that was $13! Pricey.
