Vittoria Ratings and Reviews
We hoped we would like this place despite some bad past reviews but unfortunately our experience wasn’t good. NYE and we were seated right next to the loud entrance door in a meeting room with a drop-down projection screen, which they didn’t even bother to cover with some Christmas garland. The snob for a hostess, a young girl with black hair that was dressed for a cheap bar rather than an upscale restaurant, told us the owner’s friends and regulars get preferential seating in the dining room. Couples coming in after us also questioned the seating and were surprised/disappointed. The food isn’t that good either. The oil used for bread dipping tasted like they poured it out of a pan and added some herbs. Veal Marsala was tough. Gnocchi was under cooked. Columbus has amazing places to dine, but this is not one of those places ... unless you’re a friend of the owner apparently.
Food and service is 2nd to none. We really enjoyed our time here. We went as a family just to spend the evening together with our kids during the busy holiday season. We were treated like we were regulars even though it was our 1st visit. Great food and great atmosphere
Always have an outstanding meal here! Vittoria is sure to stop by and make you feel welcome, a very nice personal touch. And we request our favorite server Morgan--being treated like a familiar friend, impeccable service and food that never disappoints ....what more can we ask for!
We have been to this restaurant many times and it is one of our favorites. When they have them, (which they did) the raw oysters are fabulous. These were Chesapeake bay, large and excellent. This time I had the walleye special and it was fantastic, well prepared, perfectly seasoned with a well balanced sauce to complement the dish. My wife had the Bracciole and it was very flavorful but a bit dry. The steaks are great, as well as the veal chop. Haven't had the pasta because we are doing low carb. The owner/manager visits with us every time we dine there and is very involved in making sure we are well taken care of. All of our special requests have been met (like getting a seat next to the fireplace) with no hesitation. The waiters and watresses are very attentive without being overly so.
The desserts are good and the coffee drinks are spot on.
Give this a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.
Vittorio makes this restaurant exceptional. He makes everyone feel special and makes sure your experience was exceptional. We were celebrating our 45th Anniversary and we were delighted with the food and hospitality. I had the Cioppini, my wife had the fish special. Both outstanding. We enjoyed a Donna Paulo Malbec which was great. Finished with a complimentary Bread Pudding, beautiful. Overall, great dining experience. will highly recommend.
We have been to Vittoria many times over the past two years. At this visit, the food didn't seem quite up to the usual standards. Our guest was disappointed with the gnocchi, and there were only two tiny pieces of meat in the short rib appetizer. That night's special appetizer, however, was yummy and enough to share around. The salads were good.
Omar, as usual, did a very nice job serving us.
We'll go back and try again after the holidays.
We had a lovely dinner. We were early on a Friday evening. Omar was our server. Very attentive but not intrusive. Omar suggested a special for the appetizer. It was the 3rd time I've had fresh Buratta, but it far out shown the others. Scrumptious! I had the gnocchi with tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. Very light and pillow like they should be. Very delicious. Husband had Linguine and shrimp. He cleaned his bowl. Was a delicious choice. Glad we went.
Our entrees were just "ok". Nothing special. Could make tastier food at home actually versus what we spent on this meal. It was our anniversary which we included on the reservation but there was no mention of it at all by anyone at the restaurant. Probably won't be anxious to return.
Always a pleasure to dine at Vittoria's... greetings are always warm and welcoming. Atmosphere is relaxing and gracious. Menu offers standards that we know and trust as well as innovations that offer interesting new choices. Some great.... some, maybe a lttle less but always worth the try. Desserts are outstanding as is the impeccable service. Attentive but not intrusive.
