Vitrine – St. Regis Hotel is a full service restaurant located on the fourth floor of the hotel premises, ladling American breakfast and lunch to the lodging and visiting gourmets. Netted curtains allow plenty of light to illuminate the dining area, while the sage green and white decor gives Vitrine – St.Regis Hotel an elegant look. Herringbone patterned timber floors the interiors with the customers being served on sleek and stylish dining furniture.
In the breakfast, the patrons are served with egg staples, panini, fruit salad, buttermilk pancakes, French toast and cereals. Brunch and lunch menu includes grab-and-munch platters, croissants, oysters, rib eye beef and cure ham along with a number of other ladled selections. Vitrine – St.Regis Hotel also has a full bar to complement the dining experience.
We had breakfast meetings for business three morning in series. Owing to good atmosphere, quiete and good meal, we successfully set up good relationship with our business associat. It is apperant that Vitrine is better than restaurants in other hotels for breakfast.
I had friends in from out of town and our plans for brunch on a Saturday morning fell through. Someone recommended Vitrine at the St. Regis Hotel and we immediately made a reservation. We truly could not have asked for better service. The hosts were very welcoming and seated us immediately and the wait staff was very attentive and charming. What was initially a disappointing "make up" brunch turned into a wonderful and relaxing experience with friends. By the end of our meal, we were laughing like crazy people (which we also are!) Thank you to everyone at Vitrine for allowing me to really impress my girlfriends!
Looking around for a brunch on Mother's Day I came upon St. Regis, and found to my surprise that it was available and that everything about the place was just fine. My family of 8 loved the brunch, even the young grandchildren.
Highly recommended for special occasions.
We ate brunch here with a group, one person in a wheelchair, and very easily and helpfully accommodated. The staff, to a person, was very attentive and friendly. It's an elegant setting in the St. Regis Hotel on the fourth floor, with white tablecloths, etc., and the food is very good and lovely presentation - but it is expensive (and small complaint, the coffee wasn't very hot). The truffle frittata with frisee salad on top was excellent - others had pancakes and eggs, omelette of the day, steel cut oatmeal, etc. and juices were fresh and delicious. Access to SF MOMA couldn't be better--it's right next door.
It took us awhile to learn about Vitrine, but, now that we've found it, we visit frequently. The food is very good, but it is the service that distinguishes this restaurant...absolutely the best and most accommodating restaurant I know.
Our waiter was very charming and everything from the amuse bouche to our cocktails was delicious. One warning though: the orange marmalade is super bitter, definitely not for everyone.
Excellent business lunch spot
Ruski eggs are amazing!!!
Very good - quiet/discreet/attentive. Saw former mayor Willie Brown and several NBA players from Orlando Magic (they played twarriors that nite)
Great place for breakfast or lunch! Fresh yogurt and fruit smoothies, fresh fruit for all seasons and the bagel and nova Liz are out of this world.
Vitrine at the St. Regis was a great find for a relaxing Christmas Day Brunch. The food was great and the service was fantastic. A little pricy for drinks but the food was worth it!
Breakfast was great and service was excellent ! We order on the table french toast, omelet and egg Benedict's and everything was delicious !
The food is mediocre and the service is pretentious. If you only have 6 things on the menu, I expect them to be good. Asking me how I want my $29 burger prepared and serving it well done when I ask for medium rare is embarrassing. I feel ripped off and I wasn't even spending my own money.
The service was excellent. The server replaced my coffee 3 times due to coffee grinds and the coffee was not enough. We went there at 11:30 am and most of the guests were not there. The price is higher but it is a very quiet setting.
Everything at Vitrine was fantastic! From the delicious food to the great service, very friendly staff. You couldn't have asked for more. I was there with friends for our AAA 25th anniversary and it was a wonderful way to end our weekend there at the St. Regis. Keep up the great work and delicious food. Give your staff a raise as they deserve it. Our waiter was named "Carlos" and he was great.
THANK YOU !!
Had breakfast with my girlfriends before a day at the spa. The food was delicious and the service was top.
Our reservation was at Vitrine....however, we were informed when we arrived that Vitrine was closed and we would be seated in Ame instead...which is located by the lobby vs. the restaurant that we reserved. Most disappointing change not communicated in the 3+ emails from Vitrine confirming the reservation. Servers were from Vitrine but unfamiliar with the space where we were. Requests for some items....syrup for the French Toast....resulted in the response " I'll get some from the 4th floor". Food was Ok but not outstanding. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
A long time friend and I met here for Brunch on Christmas Day and both were extremely pleased with the food. We both do some catering so appreciate when the taste and the presentation compliment each other.
Do try Vitine. I think you will be happy you did!
Even though they accepted our reservation, the restaurant is closed. However, from the time we arrived in the courtyard of the St Regis, they handled us professionally walking us to another restaurant on their ground floor (Vitine is on the fourth floor). We met friends there for Christmas brunch. The menu was Vitrine's standard weekend brunch menu with options galore. The restaurant, while nothing special, did their best. That said, if I was the St Regis, I would be embarrassed to accept reservations for a restaurant that is closed.
This was a perfect choice for a business lunch followed by casual drinks in the lobby bar.
Went there for lunch in the midst of a busy conference at Moscone. Ambiance super nice - a little formal (but ties not required), excellent attentive service. Food was good and well presented. The chopped salad was generous with tasty bites of chicken, avocado, and cheese. Quiet enough to have good conversation, a rarity during a conference.
Superb staff - food was eclectic, interesting, and good, though a bit on the too-many-flavors in one dish side. The wait staff was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and not hovering.
Went for lunch. Slow service. Mediocre food. And way overpriced for what you are getting. I would not recommend it.
We were nearly 30 minutes late for our reservation. Not all of our party showed up in time, and we had an infant in tow. They were very kind and patient with us and accommodating for the infant. The food was pretty good and they did not rush us even though their last seating was at 10:30 and we didn't start until 10:45am. Amazing service!
Vitrine was perfect for a business lunch away from the madness of Moscone during a busy conference event. It has a nice ambiance and a menu with good variety.
While the food served was spectacular, I specifically wished to dine AT Vitrine. Instead, upon arriving, we discovered the actual restaurant was closed for renovation. We were moved to Ame, which has a far less appealing look to it. I would have very much appreciated being informed of that in advance by OPEN TABLE and the ST REGIS. I specifically chose Vitrine for the ambience and would have opted for a different venue had I known that it was closed.
This San Francisco spot was perfect for a quiet business meeting & meal, the staff were ultra responsive and the food was fantastic.
There are many better and more interesting places for brunch. My truffle frittata did not haver even a hint of truffle flavor. It was a lovely place with good service, but was very expensive for food that was just OK. The brunch menu did not offer enough choices and the toast was ordinary.
great food, great location. located in the metreon complex. has indoor and outdoor patio dining. simple yet detailed menu. iwhen in doubt, i always order the bento box. it has a little of everything,; salad, miso soup, main course (usually a teriyaki or grilled fish item) side item (i.d. gyoza, croquette, etc..) and 3pc cali roll. i love the daily change in the bento box. a fun surprise every time!
Outstanding service - every staff person greeted me by name and offered birthday wishes to my friend. Food was very, very good. Prices are what you'd expect of the St. Regis.
Delicious food serviced by an experienced staff in a room that is void of interest.
DULL, static decor, it takes more than good and service.
All I can say is this is a fantastic location and venue for anyone going to a conference at Moscone.
Always a great place during the chaos of RSA.
Away from the crowds and an excellent venue to have lunch.
Service was exceptional as was the food. We had brunch before a show, wanted something special, this was it. Potatoes a little spicy for some in group, I thought perfect but other than that, we totally enjoyed the dining experience.
For eggs, potatoes, and OJ, including parking, tax, and tips... We paid a little less than a $100, which is even high for SF standards. The space felt very cramped because the room is small and the ceiling are very low. This is our first and last time at this restaurant. If you happen to be staying at this hotel, stay in your room and order room service. Everyone else, there is no intelligent reason to eat at this place.
Vitrine is off the street - way off the street on the 4th floor of the St. Regis Hotel. I have had lunch and brunch and have not had a bad meal yet. The chef is a very talented. Diners should pay attention to the subtle flavors of the meal.
The dining room is decorated in mostly white. Chairs are covered in a luxuriously soft fabric. Tables are spaced well apart.
The staff is very friendly and makes guests feel welcome. My only complaint is service which sometimes tends to be slow. We were puzzled by the staff's absence at times.
Vitrine is highly recommended by me!
Went there for brunch. Food and service was good and solid as expected from St. Regis. The restaurant has very low ceiling which contributed to claustrophobic feel to restaurant.
Good for business lunch.
great option for quiet important business lunch.
Enjoyed the brunch at Vitrine. It was quiet, service was excellent, great food and presentation. However, it is very expensive, especially the tea and coffee at $7 per pot. You definitely pay a premium for dining in the St Regis. We ordered the black truffle frittata and the Russian version of eggs benedict (with caviar), as well as a basket of pastries. All delicious and a lot of it so we enjoyed some of the pastries at home later. Recommended, but only when you're feeling flush.
We had a pleasant and quiet conversation with healthy and tasty breakfast food and endless streams of coffee. And even though the meeting took quite some time we never felt hassled and were presented with the check only after our request. Any time again.
