Vito's Chop House - Orlando, FL Ratings and Reviews
I had made reservations for 6PM. Dining room had plenty of tables available but we were put in a booth in the bar area. It took forever to get our drink order correct. Once we got that resolved, 3 of our 4 entrees were under cooked the first time and they recooked the original steaks and over cooked 2 of them. By this time all the sides were cold. Water glasses left empty. No one checked on us until we complained. Denny's hass 10 times better service.
The food is excellent, but our service was slow. It is an excellent steak and chop house with prices in a reasonable range for such a restaurant. They need to get more bus help to handle filling waters and the mundane needs of diners, while the waiters are busy serving food, getting wine and drinks and showing the menu meat offerings. Overall it's a great place to eat, especially if you're attending a convention at the convention center, because of its location within walking distance.
Second visit to Vito's, first was great second was very disappointing. Overcooked steak for one of our guest at the table, which had to be sent back causing that person to eat while everyone else was done. Ordered desert and coffee, coffee was ice cold sent back and took fifteen minutes to get another cup. Very disappointing.
I had the lobster bisque which was amazing and my husband the pork chop very tasteful but the sauce could be something different but it worth it.The staff was very friendly even after waiting more than 20 min for the appetiser to be served they realised and took care of it.We didn’t complain it was a proactive decision from the manager!Good Job!!!I will definitely be back!
Server was working hard pressure sales angles like convincing the table to buy 2 calamari apps(the people barely ate) and confusing drink orders. Actually most of the apps, salads and sides tasted pretty good. Hardly any of the 7 steaks ordered by our large party were eaten due to the temps being wrong and mind arriving to the table not warm. Upon multiple mentions of complaints the made NO recompense whatsoever. It’s not whether you make a mistake but how you recover.
Put us next to a table with kids that could not sit in their seats despite the restaurant being empty. Served cold lobster bisque.. 3 of the 6 people in our party didn’t like their food. The valet handed me my car keys instead of pulling up my car. I don’t recommend and won’t repeat.
Delightful, we had an amazing time dining on new years eve, Kathy & Alyssa were fantastic, both of them went above and beyond with their service and compassion and the food was spectacular definitely a great way to start the new year right with great food and people!
Well for starters the crabcake appetizer was great we also had the shrimp scampi not worth it there was no taste lacked spices . The other part of our dinner my wife ordered the 8 oz fillet medium well it came burnt black it was awful you could actually taste the burnt crust .
I ordered the $120 tomahawk steak medium and I was really exited about how it was going to look and taste and sure and of the presentation was great it came sizzling but again when I put it on my plate it was burned you could actually taste more the burned on the steak than the steak itself VERY DISSAPOINTED . We are annual pass holders and we come up to Orlando at least twice a month we have eaten at Charley's steak house and the steaks are never burned that way . SORRY VERY DISSAPOINTED AND THE WORST PART IS THAT I PAID A HEAVY PRICE FOR A MEAL THAT WAS NOT UP TO 5 STAR RATING THAT WAS SHOWN ON THE REVIEWS
VICTOR & GLORIA
New Year’s Eve special of $49 for a fillet and lobster tail started out at $53. Salad used to be included with entrée and was much better. Now an all a cart item is just a chop salad. Medium rare fillet was medium and lobster, out of the tail, was minimal when served on top of the fillet. Meet was rather tasteless. Charlie’s is a much better restaurant for the money.
This was a special dinner among friends. It was our second visit. Our first visit was extremely memorable with an amazing staff and delicious food. This past visit left us questioning our decision. The staff was extremely hard to understand (very thick accent) and, although it was tasty, our food came to the table barely room temperature. I enjoy hot food served hot. Our (very expensive) steaks were not even lukewarm.
The food and service were wonderful. However, don’t ask for seating in the first row! It was like dining on the side of an interstate! I actually had to ask for help in holding traffic so I could get out if my seat. Way too busy for us to enjoy our meal completely.
Went there to have a good meal and to get “served” instead of having to beg for service. Both goals were achieved. Even though we don’t eat red meat our desired dinner of a tasty salmon was provided to us.
Net: even though it is known as a seal house you can get a good seafood meal too.
Over the last few years this restaurant has gotten progressively worse to the point I will not go back after dining over 20 years there. The service was incredibly slow during the week with no crowds and the hot food was served cold. I had the lump crab cake, the worse I ever ate that I just have a few bites and left all of it over. There were no crab lumps, just puree with tons of Roulade sauce. Caesar salad was swimming in dressing the romaine drowned. And the Chicken Parmesan although good was not pounded thin, but rather 1/2 inch thick.
Whenever I’m in or near Orlando, I do a Vito’s dinner. I like a booth in the bar where I can watch Anthony create the best Mojito in the 48 states - seriously. The bartenders and servers are professionals who do things right. I’ve never been disappointed at Vito’s. The steaks are superb and always perfectly prepared. My only disappointment ever has been the crust on the Key Lime pie. I am a purist and a serious judge of this pie which - in my opinion - should be pure graham cracker crust with no coconut - Vito’s has it - or madamia nuts or anything else. Pure, unadulterated graham cracker crust, as God intended, is enough. Vito’s sends a dish of whipped cream for those weak souls who think it improves the taste. I’m having none of it. Everything about Vito’s is about quality and personal service. Can’t wait til next time.
